The Hybrid Rogue

"Hey, ladies! It's time!" Colson yelled from his room as he was walking through our bathroom into mine. "Now, Az, you will run the pack next to Theo and his mate, with me in front. After, you will do a run next to us with the warriors following you. Have them circle at the end near Wolf's Den around the pack to show protection over them all leaving me and Theo outside of it."

Colson and his damn perfectionist mouth. I know how this is to go. Just hate the formalities of it. I just glare at him with a nod included.

"Those of us who aren't apart of the pack itself will meet you guys afterwards for the last bit of the party." Zoe says to remind me I'm in this alone basically. That's the part where anyone can first challenge Colson, Theo, or myself for our parts and the pack. We can challenge each other as well, but I'm not challenging anyone and I doubt anyone plans to either. We head downstairs to meet the whole family, the kids are home from boarding school for the day, and our guests. Ryanne looks at me with some demon like stare. If he had a "fuck me" look, that would be it.

"You look more than beautiful. I can't wait to see you for your own Luna ceremony, some day." He had to remind me these damn ceremonies and girlie things aren't over for me. Way to ruin the moment. I just remove my smile to a resting bitch face. "What? Did I say something wrong?"

"I hate dresses and this girl type stuff. An oversized sweatshirt and some leggings or jeans with my hair in a messy bun, that's more me. This, this isn't me. I just put up with it for expectations with these type of things." I try to be not so brutal with honesty to him.

"Well, we can always make your ceremony casual wear required." He responds, smiling a smile that makes me giggle.

"Okay, Col, can we get to starting? I can't wait to see this chocolate fountain!" My little sister said.

"You and chocolate. Seriously, can't you think of anything else? But yes, Col, please can we go? Dad tied this tie so tight so I can't take it off. The sooner this is over, the better!" One of my twin brothers exclaims.

I laugh, "Well, at least I'm not the only one complaining."

"Wow, way for the support! Okay, let's go. Everyone is here. I also am going to allow everyone here to know I plan to announce tonight I have found my mate. Took me a bit of self fighting but I am going into this and you all should be warned at least that much." He says with side glances at Liam and myself. I smile back at him, "About damn time!"

As we walk out, Ry looks at me and tries to get me to spill who his mate is, but I shush him and tell him that's a surprise. Tonight will be for sure interesting.

The beginning went by easily. Just my father speaking to all present and announcing his stepping down for Colson to rise. Just the boring stuff. Then the interesting part starts. Alpha Colson asks for the men of the pack to follow him and females to follow me and Sam, while our guests and the young ones welcome themselves to our after party that we will meet them at.

"Oh, this will be so fascinating! Colson told Theo he was announcing his mate later as well! Tonight is such an amazing moment!" Sam and her cheerfulness is sickening. "I'm sure you know who our Luna will be! So, any hint as to which of these lucky ladies it is?"

"Sorry, let it be a surprise. Plus, the lucky mate isn't a part of our pack." I try to sound mysterious and not let anything too big slip.

"Oh, well, that is very common." Well, duh. Plus, Colson being 17, he would have met his mate at 16 if the person was in the pack. The scent takes over if you ignore it too long and drives you mad.

We switch out of our clothes and shift into wolf form. I noticed I'm much taller than any of the females so they can see me well. It's common, I'm taller than most Male wolf forms as well. Sam is a white wolf with brown paws and after she turns to me she gasps.

'You're a Black alpha wolf? You look just like Colson but yet different. I mean, I know you are an alpha and the older one but usually just the ones meant to be Alpha or with special powers can be pure black.'

'I'm a tribred. Its automatic. Now we shall address the ladies to follow to meet the men.' I say before turning to the ladies behind us who have all shifted. 'Any warrior women, please be ready for the circle as well. Anyone unwanted stays towards the back and wait till the after party to find your mate if you scent them. Any sign of trouble I ask the warriors here to take those who are not warriors to safety and allow the men to stay to fight. I only ask this because any attacks would be last done on you as you would know. Now, let's go meet our Alpha for our run!'

As we usher out of our opened door, the moon is high and shines on us. Colson is at the front with Theo behind him and I meet with Sam where she is between Theo and I.

'LET'S RRRUUN!!!!' Belts Colson as we start running at a high speed. I keep the same pace as Theo and Same. It takes only 3 mins before we near Lion's Den.

'Warriors! Protect!' I reign out with the circling starting. Everything is going smoothly. Colson is in a great mood and gives me a giggle and a thanks to just me through our mind link. That's until I smell it.
