Chapter Family
"Heads up, Mom dragged Nick to church at like four this morning. He may not be in a good mood later between lack of sleep and the fact that he can't stand angels." Ryanne was starring and starting to answer emails.
"Why does he hate angels?" It's just odd to me.
"Well, it's mainly his father he can't stand. It's more his story to tell there. So, find anything interesting?" He changes the subject.
"Not in the papers, but your mom was by me earlier when I woke up at 3. She found out what I all am and what she thinks I may be." I explain what she had said to me and about how I may be able to find what I am looking for. "I may have to have a family reunion, though Lycious may kill me, she thinks."
"Well, damn. Let me see what I can find out about Lycious and maybe we can also look into Dracula. I'm guessing why my mom took Nick to church with her now. She had to contact his father and use Nick for information. Nick is definitely not going to be in a good mood. Doubt he will cooperate that much, but that angel is not one to mess with." His focus is all on me and studying me. I shrug him off for now to not let all this get to me and just keep looking. "I just mind linked Jax to let him know to look into the files for Dracula and Lycious names. He said he had some drawers labeled them. No one has touched them yet. Obviously, those files should be up here any minute."
"Oh, your mom said you can touch the papers. If you focus enough, you should be able to read them. It's the first language basically used by angels and demons apparently took it as theirs through Lucifer. Just to sum that up. So, more papers means I need more help. Might as well make Nick useful then too when he comes back to keep him out of trouble." I look at him as I say this and he gets up and reaches for the paper in my hand.
Nothing happened. He had no issue touching it. "Why does it burn anyone else?"
"You're part nephlem. Just accept it. Not going over it. I'm tired and just want to focus." Wasn't trying to sound mean, but I wanted to just get the stuff done.
"I can take over this then and you can start on the other stuff." He says reaching for what I haven't finished. "Just come in Jax."
"Hey, got them. Noticed they have that language again. Oh, how are you touching that?" Jaxon almost dropped the drawer from the cabinet he was holding. There was a another man behind him with another but it looked lighter.
"I'm guessing this one you have is about Dracula and that one is Lycious." I said pointing to them. Ryanne explained what I did to him about the papers.
"When my mom and Nick come back, send them both up here. Don't let her walk past you to the kitchen!" Jaxon laughed at Ryanne's words.
A few hours into everything I learned about Dracula and the Vampires. I learned about Henry and my own mom as well. Apparently Dracula wasn't happy his bloodline ended up with witch into it. Henry has nothing about my grandmother in this at all. Dracula had her killed after learning of my mom being born. He spared my mother because she was an infant with his bloodline but refused to meet her ever. Now really knowing what I know of Dracula, he may not like me much either. I would have to approach him carefully. By the time I got to the back of the drawer I found a journal in it under the papers.
"Proprietatea Vladimir. Isn't that the assumptionof Dracula's real name? This is his original journal!" I am wide eyed at Ryanne and then look back at it and open it. It made sense that was his. "It's in Romanian too. Thank god for Rosetta Stone!"
I start reading and find out it really is his. It talks about his family. Their home! Nothing about the actual location, but it's obvious he had an amazing connection to his sisters and loathed his brother all their lives. He wanted to kill Caterina's and Anca's husbands, but the sun god wouldn't allow that. The sun god had told him that they all played a part that would be needed to the plan that was agreed to.
"Wow. I need to find Dracula. Let me see if there may be anything in the rest of these, I learned so much, but nothing about the house." I must look like a child on christmas morning to him.
"You seriously sat here reading all this? These papers are so boring! Why is there more which information than any of those? And it is all pointless!" Ryanne looks so bummed out.
I start looking at the remaining papers in my file drawer. I stare at the paper in my hand. It didn't have an address, it had a phone number and an email! I put it on Ryanne's desk. "I've got contact info here for Dracula. Let me handle that, after I have finished with these papers. I need to look at Lycious's files."
He nodded and went back to the torture he had been dealing with. As I expected, it didn't have much other than some peace treaties they had signed to keep peace. Basically, Henry and his clan could not leave the American continents. He contained them. There isn't much, but the last page contained an email at least. "I'm surprised these old as dirt men have emails!"
Just as I was taking the too papers with the information I needed and sitting at Ryanne's computer, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Ryanne said, still annoyed that I found better information in the files he suggested I took instead.
"Hey, it's me. Mom stayed at church. She let me leave when Dad finished with me." He said with a good few bruises showing.
"Wow! And I thought I have family drama!" I let it slip and Ryanne and Nick both laughed.
"No, your family drama is a whole other level of drama! Good thing though, Daddio sent me with a message for you. Answer the call tonight. That's all he said. So, you refuse communication from angels I take it! Good girl! I do too! That's what landed me the punch to my jaw right here." Wow, I thought angels were supposed to be more peaceful. "Not so 'Angelic' as you are meant to believe, right?"
"So, he actually came to the church? In person? He must have been pretty pissed." Ryanne states setting his papers down.
"He was already in the room waiting! Apparently after your Luna had spoken to mom, he contacted mom and told her to meet him at the church. He suggested I came too or he would come here himself. I'd rather go to church." He smirked.
"I would rather he didn't show up here either. Last time he showed up, I had to rebuild an entire pack house and the land around it!" Ryanne said in a serious tone.
"Let me write this email. I plan to send one to Lycious first. I think its safer to email him first. Dracula, I will try to call first and if that fails, I will send an email as well." I say and turn to the computer.
