The Hybrid Rogue

Chapter Becoming official

Ryanne and Jaxon take turns coming back and forth the next few days. They brought some warriors here and brought some crimson warriors back. It's like an exchange program in time of war to show allieship. Anyways, Ryanne and I get to know eachother better. We refuse to practice much together and he understood when I didn't want to go on runs with him. Colson's ceremony is approaching fast. I felt it time to speak with him as if he was the Alpha already and see what he expects from me.

"Colson, we need to talk. Yes, I have a deal with dad, but he won't be Alpha in 2 days, you will. What do you expect from me? Are we good?" If I didn't stop there I would ramble on with an overload of questions all at once like a little school girl.

"What do you want, Az. You don't want to stay, and with Ryanne as your mate, you probably will go with him. We all know what the mate bond does. I still want my sister as my third. If you want to that is. You'd be Luna of Ryanne's pack of course, so I understand if you'd rather not. No one can fight like you though and I think it would give us a chance to not need to update the peace treaty so damn much. You could be apart of both packs. Also, I know Zoe teaches you spells, but I'm looking into a proper teacher for both of you. It was Ryanne's idea, he knows a few witches. His cousin is the Betta of the pack in New Orleans. It's mainly voodoo type spells, but it's old magic and honestly not a bad idea. Probably, the first thing that guy and I have ever agreed on." He wasn't looking at me, just up at the sky with his back towards me.

"Yea, witch. I will have to talk with Ryanne as well. He offered to let the guys join his pack. I know Pete deep down wants to join a pack. All I know was that him and Liam were exhiled from their old pack with a crazy Alpha. We don't share background details much for safety reasons. When we got here my background came obviously came up." I'm looking at the ground.

"Well, you do whatever you want, but promise me that I won't loose you again. It's been nice having you back." He finally meets my eyes, full of pain. "Hey, come to dinner at Theo's and Sam's tonight. It would just be the four of us. You can meet her. Heads up, she can be, well, uptight."

"If I say pass, you'd still try to talk me into it until I agreed. So, you give me no choice. You really are the annoying little brother stereotype." I say looking at him, annoyance just written all over my face.

"I'll tell Theo you agreed. It was his idea." And with that he walked off.

I sit on the ground just watching dust blow. The view I have is amazing. The northern woods though are my favorite. It's why I went there before leaving. See it all once more. The sun is setting and for once I feel like a moon run. If I do a moon run though I should have my dad with. Kill two birds with one stone, sort of speak. I call him up on the phone. He agrees with excitement.

'So, we have Daddio with. We are really doing this?' The annoying wolf asks.

'He's Alpha. With it being of full moon, we can set up the mind link for the pack and join. No more Rogue.'

'It would help with the war. We should start figuring out this clan better and do research though on them. Do some scouting. I don't trust those nincompoops to do it.'

My dad showed up after a few minutes. "You have no clue how happy this makes me! Its 2 years overdue! Usually we would do a full pack run but seeing as that happens with your brother at the ceremony, there is no point. So, we will run."

"Let's not take so long. Still have a dinner to go to with Colson." Agreeing, He has me go to the dog house to shift while he shifts in the open. We start our run and when the moon hits us both just right, it hits me.

"So, the link is set. Welcome to the pack officially, Az." My dad's voice rings into my mind. He rarely calls me Az too. We finish the run since that dinner is right around the corner for me. Dread hits me. Anyone feel like having dinner with their childhood rapist and his family? Not me. Only agreed for Colson. He doesn't know and won't know what Theo ever did. If he did, the Betta and Alpha of our pack will probably have a full blown fight. We need the peace. It makes our pack weak.

'We put the pack above our own feelings? Guess we really are leader material.' My wolf acts like we haven't had this conversation enough over the past 4 years.

As, I head to my room to change, his scent hit me. Ryanne was here. It made my heartbeat basically flutter. Then I realized I needed to change for this damn dinner. Meaning a damn dress. Colson did me the favor and played out my ensemble for me on the bed. He was always great at fashion while I would love to just sit in comfy lounge wear all day. Leggings, sweats, and jeans were my thing.

Had stuck to two pairs of shoes mainly, my Converse's and some Nike's. Perfectly fine for running when needed. This dress and shoes were new. Mom made me go shopping with her last weekend and she got me a whole new wardrobe. A few fancy dresses and shoes were needed and insisted on by her. It was torture to say the least.

I got dressed and as I am putting my shoes on, there's knocks on both doors. Colson was at the bathroom door and my guess Ryanne was at the other.

"Come in!" Directed at both.

They both walk in. Colson in a dress shirt and slacks was odd to me but suit him well. It was a light blue color with navy pants and black shoes. It made his platinum blonde hair and bright blue eyes stand out. See, we had the same natural eyes but my hair was a dark Auburn tone. Then I look at Ryanne. He was in his usual dark red dress shirt, black coat to match his slacks. He had grey eyes with a hint of green to them and his black hair was scruffy looking but made me want to jump him.

"Oh, hey, Ryanne. Want to join, we are headed to Theo's for dinner." Colson said after noticing he was there too. I finished with my torture shoes and stood, falling right back onto the bed. I hate heels.

Ryanne let a growl out and looked at me. I knew he couldn't believe I would agree to this either, but I had to. With a smirk he says, "Well, seeing as she can't seem to walk in those things, I wouldn't let anyone else come to her rescue."

We head out the room and Liam is at Colson's door. "Oh, um, hey. Just was wondering if I could, um, go for a run. You know I have to get permission. Figured I would ask the soon to be Alpha instead."

"We are headed to Theo's for dinner. We should be back in, at the most, 2 hours. Go for that run." Colson says with a smile, but I sense some worry to the way he talks. Brushing it off, we walk over to Theo's. Damn. This is just asking for trouble.
