The Hooded Luna:Happily Ever After

Chapter 25~Explanations

~Phoenix’s POV~

“So, I mean where should we start.” Michael asked me smirking.

“With you.” I said, looking at Mateo.

“Oh, that’s easy-”

“I don’t want to hear it from you. I want to hear it straight from the source.” I said cutting Michael off.

“I’ve been working with Michael this whole time. More specifically we’ve been working together since he took you and Alex and had you all locked up.”

The realization of how long that actually was hit me and I felt a sharp pain in my chest.

“Stop.” I pleaded, shaking my head. He rolled his eyes but stopped talking. I covered my face and took a couple of deep breaths as I tried to keep my tears in.

“Okay.” I said picking my head up to look at him again.

“The day of the party I was there. After Michael stabbed you and I had to save his ass he started to tweak the original plan of you having his kids to just draining you of your power the only problem was he knew he was never going to get a chance to get close to you again. So, that’s when I came in, I dropped a hint that you were alive and gave your location to some douchebag and pretty soon the news started to travel until it got to my father who in turn did what any loving father would do, kidnapped you and had you tortured until you were prepared to speak. You killing Michael was not part of the plan so you can imagine my annoyance when I had to fake my death in order to get the time and space to rescue him from hell.” He said rolling his eyes.

“You said you faked your death so you could take out anybody that had a hit on me. You said you didn’t want to put me in any more danger. You said you wanted to protect me.” I said clenching my hands into fists. My fist unclenched and I took a deep breath as the weight of everything began to sink on me.

“Was everything a lie?” I asked weakly. He smirked and shrugged.

“I loved you when we were kids but growing up in a mafia family to be Don changes you.” He said shrugging.

“So this whole time?” I whispered as tears filled my eyes.

“You didn’t find it the least bit suspicious that you’ve been so easy to kidnap? I mean we might as well put up a big sign and leave the front door wide-open.” He said crossing his arms over his chest. I nodded my head slowly and turned away from him as a tear ran down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away and released a shaky breath.

“What about your dad?” I asked wanting to know if he was apart of this.

“He was too weak for this.” He said, shrugging uninterestedly.

“Was?” I asked silently panicking.

“Yeah he started digging and I asked him to stop but the stubborn man wouldn’t so I dug my hand into his chest and ripped his heart out.” He answered said smiling sadistically. His eyes glazed like he was reliving the kill in his head.

“How did you get Michael out of hell?” I asked swallowing the need to throw up.

“It wasn’t easy let me tell you that especially when you decided to go to hell and go get him. The mole that you found for Lucifer, was working with me.” He explained.

“Was?” I asked curiously.

“Let’s just say Lucifer has a very creative mind.” Michael said smirking.

“So he caught her and is torturing her and you aren’t scared that she’ll give you up?” I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

“She doesn’t know much to give us up.” Michael said shrugging his shoulder.

“I think Lucifer will notice if he’s missing a soul from hell.” I said frowning.

“He has.” A voice growled from behind me. I turned around to look at Lucifer and my jaw dropped as I took him in. His eyes were burning a furious red and his horns were sticking out of his head. He was stuck between a beast and a man like he was trying to keep his calm but he was losing. The temperature in the room kicked up and I hoped he wouldn’t decide to cook us all. Mateo grabbed my arm and pulled me so I was standing directly in front of him. My heart dropped as I realized he was using me as a shield against Lucifer.

“Either you leave or I’ll rip her throat out.” Mateo growled, letting his claws come out and lightly graze my neck. Lucifer looked dumbfounded for a second and then burst into laughter like he couldn’t actually believe Mateo was threatening him. The look in his eyes when he sobered up was ten times scarier.

“Are you bloody serious? Or does me ripping you apart with my teeth turn you on?” Lucifer growled back taking a step towards us. Mateo’s grip on my neck tightened and his claws began to dig into my skin. My eyes filled with tears and I silently prayed Lucifer could read my mind.

Leave, I can handle this. My brother and Liam are in the panic room and everybody is in the basement you’ll need Mal to help you get around undetected.′ I said catching Lucifer’s attention. Lucifer’s eyes met mine for half a second before he disappeared. Mateo let me go and I quickly stepped further away from him. I looked up at him in disbelief as my tears flowed freely down my cheeks.

“You would’ve killed me.” I said taking in the look in his eyes. He looked at me like I should know the answer to that and I slowly nodded my head.

“I’m not giving you my powers.” I said looking between the two of them. Mateo laughed coldly and tilted his head as he looked at me.

“We weren’t asking.” He growled taking a step towards me.

“Down boy. She still needs to hear my story.” Michael said chuckling. Mateo stopped walking towards me and growled under his breath.

“Tell it fast I want her dead.” Mateo said rolling his eyes. My hands balled into fists beside me and before I could stop myself my fist was connecting with his cheek.

“You bastard. I slept with you, I told you I loved you and that whole time you were lying to me?” I growled as I kept hitting him. He grabbed my fist in his hands and twisted it before sucker punching me in my stomach. I groaned as I bent over and bit down the urge to attack him again. My eyes burnt with tears and I angrily wiped them away. He reached for me and I jerked away from him.

“Don’t fucking touch me.” I spat. I avoided looking at him and walked back to the chair before sitting down. I hugged my knees to my chest and fought back the need to burst into tears.

“I guess this means it’s my turn.” Michael said smirking, with amusement dancing in his eyes.

“Now when you’ve been around as long as I have and seen some things you plan for everything. Except you going to hell to save me I didn’t expect that at all.” He said smiling proudly.

“Anyways, the original plan was for you to bare my children so they’d be the most powerful beings on earth but we all saw how that turned out. Lucky for the both of us I never figured that plan would work so I all ready had a contingency in motion.” He paused like he was waiting for me to fill in the blank.

“The witch?” I asked rolling my eyes. He smiled and clapped.

“The witch exactly. Now when I first met her she told me about something that could suck the magic right out of anything even the moon goddess herself. Obviously, she told me the location of it and everything else I needed to know before she died so all I had to do was get out of hell and get it." He smirked before getting up and walking up to the bookshelf. He grabbed a book and opened it.

"Are you serious?" I asked frowning.

"Patience young skywalker." He said before pulling a rock out. He walked up to me and held it out for me. I looked between him and Mateo curiously.

"What makes you think I won't break it?" I asked taking it. Instead of answering, he snapped his fingers and the door opened. I looked up at it and my breath hitched in my throat as Peter walked in the door.

"No." I whispered standing up.

"Peter please." I begged desperately hoping he would tell me he wasn't with them.

"Peter Pan here is a very skilled hunter or so I've been told. I've offered him every deal I could think of but he just wouldn't take anything I proposed." Michael said studying Peter closely.

"Then you weren't offering him anything worth switching for." Mateo said rolling his eyes.

"What did he offer you?" I asked facing him.

"Nothing." He said smirking. I looked back at the rock in my hand and turned it around.

"It's just a rock." I mumbled keeping my eyes on it.

"For now. It needs to be-turned on." Michael said smirking. I looked up at him and frowned. It slowly turned into a smile as realization sunk in.

"You need me to turn it on." I said softly.

"Yeah seems to be the only downfall." Michael said crossing his arms over his chest.

"And what made you think I'd turn it on?" I asked looking between the two of them curiously.

"That's what he's for." Mateo said pointing to Peter. I frowned in confusion and turned to face him. Peter's body jerked lightly and I watched as his eyes widened. His eyes glossed over with tears as he fell to his knees. A scream ripped past my lips as I noticed the guard behind him. Mateo grabbed my arms as I tried to run to Peter.

"LET ME GO!" I screamed thrashing around. Michael nodded from the corner of my eye and Mateo let my arms go. I ran up to Peter and dropped to my knees before hugging him into me.

"Peter, Peter open your eyes." I whispered biting back a sob.

"Come on Peter please." I begged.

"You can heal him." Michael taunted, from behind me. He kneeled beside me and looked between the two of us.

"I can give you the stuff to get your juice back." He said shrugging like it was simple. I looked back down at Peter and hugged him into me.

"Peter, please. I can't lose you again." I croaked as my tears rolled freely down my cheeks. I closed my eyes tightly and released a shaky breath when he didn't respond. I gently put him back on the ground. I took his face in my hands as I tried to remember everything about him.

"Forgive me." I whispered before pressing my lips against his.
