The Heart Sees

'Well that could have gone better' Lilac huffed.

'At least he liked the pie' I chuckled. 'Why do you think he got so upset about me not having many things?' I questioned.

'It's probably his instinct to care for you as an alpha' Lilac replied.

'I feel bad that he's upset.... and he just left the room after' I said sadly.

'Maybe you feel bad because we like him?' Lilac asked hopefully.

'I just don't like seeing him hurt' I defended.

'Uh huh.... because that's the only reason' Lilac said disbelievingly.

'Well what am I supposed to do? Yes we like him but he's an alpha! He would never want someone so weak' I snapped.

'How will we know if we don't ask? Besides, his wolf seemed jealous when he smelled Liam with us' Lilac purred.

'I can't just go up to him and ask him to be our mate' I complained.

'Why not?' Lilac quipped.

I wasn't sure what to say but luckily I was saved by a knock at the door. I could tell that it was the alpha from his scent. I raced to the door and opened it, thankfully I had gotten ready a while ago. "Good morning, are you ready to go?" Troy asked with a smirk.

"Yeah I was ready a while ago. Liam said he would meet us there" I explained nervously.

"Alright then let's go" Troy said, holding his hand out in front of him. I wasn't sure what to do so I stood there. He frowned and lowered his hand before turning and heading towards the car. I had to jog to keep up with him and he was clearly upset.

'He wanted to hold our hand! Why did you reject dummy?' Lilac yelled.

'I didn't know that's what he was trying to do' I whined.

'Well we better make it up to him. And by we I mean you! Now grab his hand!' Lilac pushed.

'I can't just go up and grab him, what if he gets startled and hits me because he can't see me coming?' I sighed.

'Then wait until you're in the car' Lilac said and I reluctantly agreed. I was so distracted that I hadn't realized we were already at the car.

'Sneaky wolf!' I mumbled and heard her laughing at me.

Troy opened the door for me like a real gentleman. "Thank you alpha" I said with a slight bow before getting into the car. He quickly closed the door and ran around to get into the other side since Terrance was driving. The car started moving but Troy and I were stuck in place. He hadn't said a word to me since I unknowingly refused to grab his hand. I was about to ask him about it when the car came to a stop.

"We're here" I heard Terry say from the front seat. The alpha quickly got out of the car and Terry raised an eyebrow at me.

'How was I supposed to know I was supposed to grab his hand?' I huffed. Then my door opened as Troy waited for me to get out. I stepped out, thanking him again but with no response. I sighed as we walked up to the mall, but it was replaced with a smile when I saw Liam at the front doors.

"Liam!" I shouted before running up and tackling him in a hug.

"Hey girlie, ready to shop till we drop?" He asked with a wide grin.

"Of course! But you should probably try to apologize to beta first...." I reminded him.

"Okay" he sighed. I released him from the hug as we walked back to Terry and Troy.

"Alpha, beta" Liam bowed respectfully. "Thank you for inviting me along, but may I have a word with the beta alone?" Liam gulped nervously and Terry seemed surprised.

"Sure, the alpha and I should start on shopping anyways" I said as I walked up to Troy. I stood directly in front of him, leaving only a few inches between us.

I heard Troy take a sharp breath before he nodded. I grabbed his hand he siffened reflexively. I smiled when he relaxed, a soft smile on his lips. Once we were away from Terry and Liam, Troy spoke, "okay buy whatever you need to feel comfortable, don't worry about the price" he started.

"What? Alpha I can't ask you to do that" I protested.

"I believe I said no arguments?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Yes alpha" I sighed. He frowned, looking torn about something. "I need to stop into this store first" I said, hoping to distract him.

"What store?" He asked.

I blushed a shade of deep red, realizing that he couldn't see that we had stopped in front of an underwear store. "Umm... the one in front of us. I'll just go in by myself".

"You can't. I need to come with you to buy your things" the alpha chuckled.

"But alpha-" I started.

"No arguments Lu" Troy said firmly and I shivered at the sound of my name.

"Yes alpha" I sighed, dying from embarassment. I tugged his hand, leading him into the underwear store. I let go of his hand to start picking out things in my size. I tried to be as fast as possible, which I could do since I already knew my size. Aftee I had picked everything I grabbee Troy's hand again and gently tugged.

"What is it Lu?" He asked with concern.

"I'm all done in this store" I whispered and he nodded. We walked hand in hand to the counter, Lilac purring happily in my head. I set the things down and the sales lady eyed Troy suspiciously as she rang my items through. Troy took out his card and paid for it all without any questions and the lady gave me a horrible scowl as she watched us walk from the building. "Thank you alpha" I stuttered.

"What store were we in?" Troy asked obliviously.

"Ummm....." I said nervously.

"Alright I won't ask again" Troy chuckled. "Lead the way to the next store" he added, gesturing in front of him. I giggled and tugged his arm, walking over to look at some clothing and shoe stores.

Troy was very patient with me and didn't seem to mind while I took forever to try things on. I feel horrible spending his money so I'm trying to keep it to the basics and not buy too much. I walked out of the dressing room, looking at the mirrors. But when I looked up I gasped in horror. Alpha Chase was here! I looked around for Troy but he was on the other side of the store. I cursed when Chase saw me and tried to scurry back to the dressing room. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough. "Lu!" I heard his voice and shuttered with fear. "What are you doing here?" He growled.

"Ummm..... some friends insisted that I come shopping" I said vaguely.

"Oh? Making buddies in your new pack already?" He said darkly. "Did they feel sick looking at you in those rags?" He teased.

"Why are you here alpha?" I asked nervously.

"Actually little omega... I came to see you. I've tried to visit you at your new pack but the alpha keeps denying me entry" Chase said angrilly. "We need to talk privately" he growled as he put his hand on my lower back and pushed me into the dressing room, locking the door. "Look.... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have rejected you. I was angry and didn't understand it but I need you" he said with a sigh as he placed a hand on either side of my head, trapping me against the wall. "I know now... the moon goddess gave you to strengthen the pack" he said with a sick smile.

"What do you mean?" I stuttered.

"We will strengthen the pack by making many.... many pups" Chase chuckled and my face paled. "Actually let's start now" he started pulling my shirt up, rubbing his hand over my bare stomach.

"No! You rejected me and you can't just take it back" I snapped at him. I really shouldn't have because next thing I knew Chase was slapping me across the face. I whimpered out in pain as he wrapped a hand around my throat with one hand as the other hand worked on undoing my jeans. I tried to yell and scream but his grip on my throat stopped any noise from coming out.

"You'll enjoy it, I promise. Now let's get a pup in you" he chuckled as he tugged my pants and underwear off all at once.

"But I'm not in heat" I whimpered out weakly, my throat hurting with each word. But it was the only thing I could think to say that would make him stop.

"Well then this will be practice" Chase said as he bit at my neck, but thankfully didn't break the skin.

"No!" I still tried to struggle but I was no match for an alpha's strength.

Chase was about to say something when there was a knock on the door, "Lu?" It was Troy. I almost cried in relief as Chase tugged his pants back on, cursing under his breath so Troy wouldn't hear.

"Answer him and don't you dare say anything to tip him off" Chase mind linked me using his alpha dominance.

"I'm okay alpha, just trying on a few more things" I shouted out the lie.

"Lu open the door" Troy grumbled, "please?"

"I'm half naked alpha... let me get dressed first" I replied.

"Fine but if you're not out in two minutes I will break the door down" Troy said before I heard him walking away.

"This isn't over... when your heat comes I'll be back to finish what I started" Chase threatened before rushing out of the dressing room.

I crumpled into a ball, sitting on the floor. I started to cry, but thankfully I had managed to put my pants back on because Troy was back. "Lu what happened? I can smell another male wolf... an alpha" Troy growled angrilly.
