The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 254

"Why did you do that?"

Derek looked at Violet. His tone was colder than ever.

He thought that no matter how much Violet hated Meredith, she would not deliberately target Meredith for this.

After all, Meredith was still a pregnant woman and could not withstand any irritation.

"What can I do for, Derek? I did it all for you.”

"I have already had nothing to do with her..."

Derek said with difficulty, but Violet shook her head. "If you really had nothing to do with her, would you talk to me like this? Derek, I'm your mother, and I know you better than anyone else! Don't worry, that child, I'll bring it back and raise it, and I won't treat it badly..."

"Bring the child back to raise?"

Derek was suddenly stunned. His expression froze for a moment. The Xaviers was not so kind and would not raise children for others. The only explanation was that the child in Meredith's stomach was the child of the Xaviers.

That's why Violet took Meredith away to avoid encountering troubles in the future.

But... Impossible...

Derek thought as his hand pressed against the table, his veins bulging from overexertion. Meredith's child...

Bits and pieces of images flashed through his mind.

Meredith had told him that the woman he used as an antidote in the hotel that day was her and that when she was abroad, she had pulled out his hair, and later showed him a document, but he had mistakenly missed them all.

Could it be.

What Meredith wanted to show him that day was a paternity test that could prove the kinship between the child in her uterus and him...

Derek suddenly felt a lot of pain in his head. It was as if his head was about to explode. In an instant, his mind seemed to be lit up and his mind went completely blank.

What did he do?

Why did he always refuse to believe that Meredith's child was his? He doubted her time and time again and he hurt her time and time again.

Derek hit the table in front of him with his fist. He used a lot of strength. The skin on his hand was bleeding from overexertion. The blood was dripping on the white marble table. It was glaring, but he didn't seem to notice it. He continued to hit.

Back then, how exactly did Meredith feel as she watched him and that woman enter the hotel door? Did she already hate him so much and want him to die?

He even felt that he had been good enough to her and had done a lot for her. In the end, he was the one who hurt Meredith the most!

"Derek, calm down."

Violet didn't expect Derek to suddenly do this, and then she realized something. Could it be that Derek did not know that the child was his at all in the beginning?

He always thought that the child was someone else's, but he still wanted to accept that woman?

At the thought of this, Violet was even more afraid. Fortunately, she had caught Meredith, otherwise, there would be endless trouble in the future!

"Where is she? I'm going to find her!"

Derek suddenly came back to his senses. He didn't want to care about the wedding or anything else now. He just wanted to see Meredith and make sure that she was safe. He wanted to make up for his past mistakes.

If he had the chance to see her, he would apologize and clear up all the misunderstandings. Even if Meredith did not forgive him, he would not let her go.

"Derek, you really let me down.”

Violet's eyes flashed with pain when she heard that Derek was going to find Meredith. This was her son who made her feel proud the most. Her marriage was not satisfying, so she devoted all her efforts to Derek.

In the end, he was seduced by a lowly woman. This was something that she could not accept.

"So many people are waiting for you and all of them are preparing to watch a wedding of the century. Are you going to make the Xaviers the laughing stock in everyone's eyes if you leave now?!"

"Is it only the dignity of the Xaviers that matters? Mother, why are you doing this? I have to go..." Derek shook off Violet's hand for the first time.

He suddenly felt that it was very boring. From the moment he was born to now, he had been living for the Xaviers. Now, he just wanted to find what was most important to him back.

"If you go out now, I'll ask them to kill her.”

Violet said word by word. Derek stopped in his tracks.

He looked at Violet in disbelief, as if he had seen something horrible.

"Now that Meredith is on the high seas. Even if I do it, no one will know. Or... Derek, are you going to send your mother to prison?"

Violet stepped forward. She picked up the full dress and threw it at Derek. "I'll give you ten minutes. Change your clothes and go down to the engagement ceremony. You're my son. Remember to be dressed properly at all times."

"I won't allow any flaws to exist in this engagement. If you really don't want anything to happen to Meredith, do as I say.”

Derek stared blankly at Violet as she left, and the door was slammed shut by her.

He was lost in thought for a long time.

It never occurred to him that his familiar family members would be like this.

"Kill Meredith?”

Derek knew that Violet would do such a thing if she was pushed so hard. If Meredith had really been brought to the high seas by her, she would have been prepared for it.

If she wasn't satisfied, Meredith would really be in danger.

Derek's hands trembled at the thought that something could happen to Meredith and their child. That child was the child of the two of them.

After a long time, he held back all his emotions and began to wear his clothes in an expressionless way.

Soon, he finished changing his clothes, and the person in the mirror was still handsome and tall. He was as elegant and generous as the prince in a fairy tale. However, there was no light in his dark and deep eyes. His eyes only had the coldness that no one dare to see.

After changing, Derek walked out. Violet gave him a satisfied look, then she smiled and tiptoed towards Derek to straighten Derek's tie. "This is my son. Let's go. Everyone is waiting for you." Derek's eyes flashed. Violet held his hand and this made him feel strange for the first time.

He even wondered whether Violet, as his mother, loved him, her son, or she just loved the praise he had brought.

The two of them slowly went downstairs, and everyone looked over.

Chloe was already impatient to wait. She was even worried that Derek would suddenly run away and make her a joke for everyone. Fortunately, he came.

"I'm sorry, Chloe. I don't know what shall be said to Derek... He is even slower than you, the bride of today.”

Chloe shook her head. Today, she was wearing a luxurious wedding dress which was custom-made by designers abroad. The whole wedding dress was inlaid with 9999 diamonds. They were all inlaid by bare hands. As she walked, the dress was shining. It was as if she had put the stars on her body.
