The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 182

Meredith hid back, but still felt insecure. She glanced at Derek again, "I'm going to the bathroom.” How could Derek not see through what she was thinking? Was she hiding from him?

Was she afraid, that he would touch her? Or was it because of that man? He didn't let her remember yesterday?

The man's dark eyes were tinged with anger.

He strode forward, pulled Meredith back, and pinned her down on the bed.

Meredith was startled and looked up at the man's furious eyes.

Feeling uneasy at his naked gaze, Meredith immediately looked away and said calmly, "What? Do I even need to report to Mr. Xavier to go to the bathroom now?"

Derek stared at her. "Meredith, don't think I don't know what you're thinking. Are you hiding from me?"

Meredith's eyes flashed, but Derek suddenly let go of his hand. “I advise you to stop being so sentimental. Seeing the wild seed in your belly, I feel you're dirty."

She had no right to be afraid of him. The Xaviers had never lacked her food and clothing, and he had never betrayed that short marriage apart from the accident when he was drugged.

Even if it was just a contract marriage with a purpose, Meredith not only messed up with other men when they were husband and wife but even... Had a baby.

How could she have the face to stay away from him?

Meredith's heart sank. Even though she had heard all kinds of bad things about Derek, his cold words now still made her heartache.

Dirty?

He said she was dirty? She clearly had nothing to do with anyone except him. How could he say that about her?

Meredith strode into the bathroom, holding back her grievances and discomfort. She saw her disheveled face in the mirror and clenched her fists.

Everything seemed to be back to the beginning, and Derek was the high and mighty Young Master of the Xaviers, who used the sharpest words to shatter her dignity.

Meredith stayed in the bathroom for a while, then patted her face with cold water and hid all her expressions. She couldn't let Derek see her weakness.

After Meredith went into the bathroom, Derek was also felt upset and went out for a smoking.

He was never a man who indulged in lust. He had always had a clean mind and few desires for women. When Chloe asked him to keep her first night until their wedding day, then he never touched her.

Meredith was his first woman and the first woman who could make him lose control of himself a few times.

However, when he thought about the child and the identity of Parker, he felt very disappointed. Derek could not help but feel aggrieved at the thought of this woman having sex with another man. After smoking a cigarette, Derek felt his anger abate a little and went back.

Meredith had already come out. Sensing the movement behind her, she looked up at him.

Just now, when she thought about them in the bathroom, she couldn't help but wonder, since Derek despised her so much and thought she was so dirty, why did she come?

If she hated a person to this extent, she was afraid that even seeing him would be like torture.

"Mr. Xavier, I have something to say.” Meredith calmed herself down and looked at Derek.

"You just said you despise me for being dirty, right?"

It was not easy for her to say that. Meredith almost gave up her dignity.

"If that's the case, why don't you let me go so that your eyes don't get dirty, Mr. Xavier? Is it interesting that so many people are looking at me as a pregnant woman? Wouldn't it be a blow to Mr. Xavier's reputation if others know the truth?”

Derek sneered. He knew that this woman had no second thought except to leave this place.

Was she wanted to leave to that degree...

Then what were this woman's concern, admiration, and dependence on him? Was it just acting? Then he really had to admire her acting skills, even if he had believed it.

"Meredith, I told you that you couldn't go anywhere without my permission.”

"You do something wrong, but you don't have to bear the consequences and still want to leave. Do you think there is such a good thing in the world?"

Meredith looked at Derek and thought it funny.

The most ridiculous thing about her was that she thought that Derek would protect her and her baby.

"Derek, I was wrong to believe you."

Derek was completely enraged by her faint words and he strode forward, pressing Meredith down on the bed. "Say it again?”

He thought that he had never done anything wrong to her, but she had lied to him time and time again, playing and tricking him around.

Meredith did not speak again. Derek's eyes were so fierce and terrifying that it almost strangled her to death.

She could not provoke him.

Seeing that Meredith did not speak, Derek had nowhere to vent his anger. He punched on the mattress beside the woman, then slammed the door angrily and left.

Meredith watched him leave and felt relaxed in her heart. Just now, she was afraid that Derek would get angry and beat her up. Fortunately, he had not completely lost his mind. Otherwise, she would not be able to bear the consequences.

Not long after Derek left, Asher, who had been ambushing nearby, saw his car leave and immediately realized that his original guess was more than half right.

Derek did come here, but he still needed to investigate who was hiding inside.

After thinking about it, Asher drove the car to the backyard of Derek's villa, which was covered by several trees in the garden. If people didn't observe it carefully, they wouldn't find a car there. Asher waited patiently. His intuition and knowledage of Derek told him that there must be some important secret hidden in it...

Derek left, and Meredith was in a daze for a while. When her heart calmed down in a frenzy of fear, she slowly got out of bed and opened the window.

This kind of imprisoned life really suffocated her.

"Miss Mason, your medicine."

The maid came in and brought the ointment to Meredith. Meredith took a look and blushed, embarrassed.

It was used to reduce the swelling on her lower body, because of Derek's rudeness, she still felt a little uncomfortable.

"Miss Mason, you're still pregnant. You should be careful.”

The maid did not understand what had happened to the two of them, but she could not help but persuade Meredith because she had never seen a smile on her face.

Meredith shook her head. How could she be happy? These days in prison, apart from being well-fed and not being beaten, seemed to have gone back to the days when she was in prison.

"Why don't I go for a walk with you?" The maid thought for a moment. "The flowers in the garden are all in bloom. Now it's time to see them.”
