The Good Girl's Revenge

After Violet calmed Chloe down, she called Derek back and asked him to spend some time with Chloe to improve their relationship.

Derek looked at the expectations in the eyes of the three of them and agreed.

Chloe's heart was filled with joy. It was the same as that day, and she wanted to have Derek accompany her.

After Derek agreed, he talked to her absent-mindedly. There was no longer that kind of talk between the two of them in which they could chat with each other without reserve, so the topic became more and more boring.

Derek only felt that the aftereffect of staying up late last night had come. If it was just that he didn't sleep last night, he might have been able to stay awake now. But in order not to think of Meredith and not let her disturb his thoughts, he had been forcing himself to immerse himself in work almost all night.

Even an iron man would find it difficult to endure such fatigue, so his eyelids became heavier and heavier, and his speed of replying became much slower.

Chloe noticed that Derek had slowly closed his eyes. Her eyes fell on the dark patch under the man's eyes, and her heart ached.

Chloe froze. She looked at Derek in disbelief. She couldn't believe her ears

He was still thinking about that woman in his sleep...

Thinking about it, Chloe seemed to be bewildered and couldn't help but look around Derek for traces of that woman.

Soon, she saw a few scratches on the man’s arm. They were clearly scratched by a woman.

At that moment, Chloe really wanted to wake him up hysterically and ask him why...

Could she be worse than a woman who went to jail? Why would he rather have Meredith than her? However, Chloe held back. She knew that Derek had more guilt than love for her now. She had no right to squander his guilt.

Chloe took a few deep breaths and took a look at Derek. She didn't disturb the man's sleep, but she nestled beside Derek with a heavy heart.

After a while, Violet came back. Seeing the scene, she was relieved. It seemed that Chloe was still special to Derek. If they continued to get along with each other like this, he would soon forget that woman, Meredith.

Thinking about it, Violet left with satisfaction.

Asher looked at the harmonious and beautiful scene. He felt sad, but also somewhat gratified. Perhaps Chloe would be satisfied and happy in this way. And then, he would content with his lot and he would always protect her like this.

Derek slept for about an hour, and his fatigue gradually dissipated. Only then did the man open his eyes and realize that he had fallen asleep in the ward. He couldn't help but frown.

It seemed that he had been a little lax with himself recently.

Just as he was about to get up, Derek saw that Chloe was sleeping on his lap. Looking at her quiet sleeping face, the man couldn't bear to wake her up. After all, she was a patient, so let her be.

In fact, Chloe was not asleep at all. Thinking about Meredith, she was not sleepy at all. However, when she realized that Derek had woken up but he did not wake her up, she felt more comfortable. At the very least, he still had her in his heart. Then she could get him one day as long as she became more important in his heart.

Derek smiled and did not answer.

Derek didn't look at her much. He got up and moved his legs, which were numb from being pressed down by Chloe. He said, "Since you're in good condition, I'll go back today. There are still some things I need to do at the company.”

Chloe nodded sensibly. After seeing the man leave, Asher came in.

"Asher, can I ask you something?"

Asher was startled. "There's nothing you need to request me to do.”

"Can you help me find out what Derek has been doing recently?"

Chloe could still remember Derek calling Meredith's name in his dream. She always felt that things were not as simple as Violet said.

She had to know Meredith's every move and leave her no chance.

Asher never rejected Chloe. So he nodded and agreed.

After Derek left the hospital, he did not return to the Xavier Group as he said. Last night, he had finished all the work for the week, so he had a lot of free time now.

Perhaps, the free time could be used to keep a close eye on that disobedient woman.

With that in mind, Derek drove directly to the villa where Meredith was now. But he did not notice that there was another car behind him which was always following him not far away.

Asher's men followed Derek for a while and then they left. It was because the road they were going to pass was too remote. If they followed closely, they would probably be discovered.

Asher got the news and frowned. He suddenly remembered that Derek had bought a very secluded villa in the suburbs. The way to go there seemed to coincide with Derek's route.

However, it was a remote place, and Derek would only go there on vacation for peace and tranquility. It was obviously not the time for him to go there now. So, wasn't it because...

Who was there and that person attracted him to go there?

Asher had a guess in his heart and he sent someone over to continue the investigation. He couldn't help but think that did Derek hide Meredith there?

When Derek arrived at the villa, Meredith was staring outside the window in a daze.

She was bored stiff here and she was in no mood to watch TV. So, this was the only thing that she could do.

When Derek arrived, she only glanced at him and then looked away.

The man's eyes fell on Meredith's exposed body under her loose clothing. There were things he irrationally asked Meredith to keep yesterday.

Just seeing them reminded Derek of that ecstatic and bewitching feeling.

Meredith was so embarrassed when she was being looked at by Derek like this. She turned around and saw the desire in Derek's eyes. She was shocked. Yesterday, the doctor told her that although pregnant women could have sex, they shall do it infrequently. If Derek had sex with her in that rude way again, it would probably affect the child.
