The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 139

Leo was dissatisfied with Meredith's indifferent attitude. "I finally found a clue, but you just talk to me like that?"

Meredith frowned. If it wasn't for the fact that she needed Leo to provide evidence, she wouldn't want to talk to such a person.

"You really found a clue?”

Meredith clenched the towel in her hand. Although Derek warned her not to get too close to Leo, but...

She was tempted by the possibility of clearing her name. And especially after being so blatantly disdained by Violet today, her impulse became even more obvious.

She had to clear her name and not be looked at with prejudice by anyone else.

"Will I lie to you?"

"It's hard to tell.” Meredith wiped the water off her body and walked out of the bathroom. She wouldn't easily believe every word that Leo said.

Such a man was not trustworthy.

Leo found that Meredith's attitude was not as enthusiastic as he had thought. However, he became more eager. The harder to get her, the more he wanted to conquer.

"I've been trying to draw the secret out of Ava for the past few days but she’s very cautious about what happened back then, but if you really want to know, it's not that impossible. She needs me to invest in a new play to get rid of the negative news on her, but..."

Leo stopped talking and smiled vaguely.

Meredith of course understood what he meant. This damned bastard wouldn't do anything for others if he didn't get enough benefits.

"As long as you help me get the recording or other substantial evidence, I will try my best to satisfy whatever you want."

Meredith clenched her lips and determination flashed through her eyes. Leo wanted to scheme against her, but she wanted to see if he could be able to.

"l like to hear that."

Leo smiled and then told her the name of a hotel. "Wait, I'm going to book a room now. I'll tell you the room number later. I'll wait for you there tomorrow night. It's up to you if I will be satisfied.” Meredith held back her voice and hung up the phone.

After thinking for a while, she called another person. "Hey, there's a big deal for you."

After the call, Meredith threw her phone aside and thought about what she should do when she went to the hotel tomorrow.

If she had successfully obtained the evidence and cleared her name, would... would the Xaviers wouldn't continue to hate her that much?

Sensing that her thoughts were in a mess again, Meredith patted her cheek. What was she thinking...

Just as she was lost in her thoughts, her phone rang again. It was from Derek.

Meredith looked at the caller's name and felt a little guilty. After all, she had just disobeyed this man's advice, so she felt a little uneasy.

So, she hesitated for a while before answering the phone.

"At home?"

Derek had already known that Meredith had arrived home, but he could not calm down when he thought of her sad appearance when she left.

"Yes, I've been home a long time ago.”

Meredith answered lightly, without showing any emotion.

"Open the door.”

Then Meredith was surprised. "Where are you?"

Shouldn't Derek be in the hospital?

Could it be..

In doubt, there was a knock on the door outside. Meredith hesitated for a moment and walked over. Through the peephole, she saw Derek's face.
