Chapter 90
When Kylan stood from the bed, Jonah wasn't there. His arm was throbbing, and all from last night was still running through his mind, but the depressive emotions he felt had dissipated. It was always a strange emotion evoked from within him, and self-harm was the only solution to get rid of them.
When he exited the bedroom and lethargically walked to the kitchen, he was surprised to find not only Jonah but Leah standing by him. Jonah was munching on a bowl of cereal while Leah spoke to him, but when they both noticed Kylan was there, Jonah froze for a second.
Kylan pulled down the sleeve where his bandages were, and Jonah deposed the bowl of cereal, "How are you feeling, Ky?"
Kylan shrugged his shoulders but did not respond.
Leah cleared her throat and politely said, "Hi, Kylan."
He did not respond to her, ignored her, and Jonah approached him, "What about a warm bath? Doesn't that sound relaxing?"
He nodded his head, and Jonah wrapped an arm around his waist, turning to Leah and saying, "We'll go grab a bath. I'll be back in like half an hour."
He had told Leah Kylan was going through some issues, and she respected it, hence why she nodded her head and walked to the living room.
Kylan stood still as Jonah touched the faucet water to tell the temperature. When it was warm enough, he allowed the bathtub to become full and added bubble bath. The scent invaded the entire bathroom, which made him smile, satisfied. He undressed and helped Kylan next.
"I'll get in first," Jonah said, smiling awkwardly before entering the bathtub and placing his back against the end of the bathtub. It was wide enough for the both of them, but Jonah extended his arm towards Kylan and said, "Come in between my legs." Kylan listened and entered the bathtub next, laying his back against Jonah's chest. "Don't get your bandages wet," he cautioned, and Kylan nodded his head without responding.
They sat in silence for a bit, Jonah having his arms on either side of the bathtub and closing his eyes, letting his head lay on the back of the bathtub. He was comfortable, and so was Kylan, who leaned on Jonah, the warmth from the water causing all their muscles to feel soft and mushy.
Kylan was the first to speak, and he whispered, "I'm sorry."
Jonah had not heard him well, and he leaned forward near his ear, "What d'you say?"
"I said I'm sorry."
He frowned, "Sorry for what?"
"For doing...that..." he fell quiet, and Jonah nodded his head.
"No, I'm sorry I made you do that."
"You shouldn't blame yourself," he sighed, "it's not your fault."
"It is my fault."
"No, it's not." He faced Jonah, "I shouldn't have done it, and I'm sorry."
Jonah shrugged his shoulders, "I'll become a better person for you."
Kylan shook his head, "Stop blaming yourself."
"I'm not blaming myself, I just..." he turned away from Kylan's gaze, "I could have prevented it."
"You couldn't have "
"It's okay, though, because I'll never hurt you again," he smiled sadly, a smile that faded after a few seconds as he stared into space. He was scared he would fail and find Kylan passed out in his bedroom, too late to save him. Kylan tilted his head, "Jonah, look at me." Jonah met his gaze, and Kylan added, "I promise I'm not going anywhere."
"I know, and I trust you." He leaned forward and placed his lips on Kylan's for a few seconds before pulling away and saying, "Turn around, let me shampoo your hair and scrub your back."
"Can I do yours after?"
"You don't have to ask," he chuckled.
Kylan felt at ease when Jonah's fingers played with his ear, and it was not long until he felt Jonah's teeth begin nibbling in the side of his neck. Instantly, he turned around and faced Jonah, placing his lips gently on his, and their tongues soon danced together in harmonized rhythm. It always caused his body to melt, and Jonah's arms that squeezed around him were enough to cause Kylan to moan.
After their intimacy, Jonah actually scrubbed his back, and Kylan did his hair and his back. They exited the bathtub, and Jonah wrapped Kylan into a towel, drying him first before enveloping him into a robe. He did the same for himself, and Jonah said, "I've been trying this new product for my hair. It's been helping it stay healthy. Let me put it in your hair."
"Are you sure it won't damage it?"
"It won't, babe," Jonah said as Kylan faced the mirror, watching Jonah's concentrated face massage Kylan's scalp with such gentleness he thought he was in heaven.
Then, they exited the bathroom and headed for his bedroom, where they changed their clothes, and Jonah gave Kylan his sweater and sweats. "Leah's in the living room," he said, "I'll talk to her, and then we can-" when he noticed Kylan's expression saddening, Jonah immediately changed his words, "I'll just tell her to leave."
"Jonah."
"No, Kylan, it's fine," Jonah nodded his head, "she doesn't have to stay if it makes you uncomfortable."
"Jonah, you don't have to "
Jonah ignored him and exited the bedroom, Kylan following behind him protesting against him, but once Jonah reached the living room, he immediately said, "Leah, can you go home?" Leah raised an eyebrow, confused, "What do you mean?"
"You don't need to" Kylan was interrupted.

She scoffed, "So I'm supposed to just be fine with you sending Jacob to Ella and Bradley's the last weekends?"
"We can talk about that another day," he pointed towards the door, "get out, please."
She paused for a moment, glanced towards Kylan before rolling her eyes, "You were doing so well when Lucas was here. Now Kylan's back in your life, and you have no idea how to act-" "Goodbye," he insisted.
She shrugged her shoulders, "Whatever," and left the condo without saying anything else.
When she exited, Jonah locked the door behind her and faced Kylan, "We can relax all day and watch movies?"
"What about your work?"
"I took a vacation week this week."
"You don't have that many vacation days-"
"Don't worry," Jonah wrapped an arm around his shoulders, "it's not a big deal."
Kylan paused for a moment before asking, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
