Chapter 28
"What are you doing here?"
Jonah had pulled her outside and shoved her against the wall, causing Leah to scowl at him. He had not expected her to show up, but the fact that she had angered him.
She crossed her arms with furrowed eyebrows, "What am I doing here?" she repeated.
"Nobody invited you."
"Actually, I was invited by your mother since she wanted to see her grandson and take a picture with the entire family during the anniversary." Jonah's eyes widened, "Jacob's here?"
"Yes, he very well is." Jonah cursed under his breath, turning away from a moment and taking a deep breath. She narrowed her eyes at his back, "Why are you so stressed out because of that guy?" "What are you talking about?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. That guy you kissed right before we walked away that is who you're worried about?"
Jonah paused, then shook his head, "I'm not worried about anything-"
"I'm doing everything in my power to bring our family back together. But you can't even at least try."
"Don't do this now, Leah," he hissed, "we broke up a long time ago."
"We broke up because you weren't ready to be a father yet," she corrected, "not because you didn't love me."
He shook his head, "I know that."
"Then why are you spending your time with a guy, Jonah," she screamed back, "and I'm here hoping that you'll come to your senses and live with your son and me."
Jonah placed his palm on his forehead; he had too many racing thoughts rushing in his brain, and all he wanted was to calm the situation down. He shook his head, "Go home, Leah."
She scoffed, "You know I love you, Jonah. And you love me back-"
"This isn't the time nor the place to talk about this, alright?" he snapped, gritting his teeth. "Grab Jacob, and go home."
She paused for a moment, raising her eyebrows at him before shaking her head and turning away, "Fine then, I'll go home." Before she entered back inside, she said, "But you're not gay, Jonah. You're just running away because you're scared. I someday hope you can finally realize what you need to do."
She stormed back inside from the back door, and Jonah cursed under his breath, slamming his fist against the wall before wincing in pain. Kylan saw her rush inside and approach Jonah's parents before grabbing the child from their arms and apologizing to them, then rushing back outside the main entrance. Kylan stepped outside the back door, his eyes searching around before finding Jonah sitting against the wall.
"Jonah?" He raised his head and met Kylan's gaze. However, he stood to his feet and examined Kylan's worried eyes for a moment, observing him for a sign of injury. "Jonah, what's wrong?"

Jonah leaned forward, clamped his palms on Kylan's jawline before pressing his lips against his, his body filled with desires and causing Kylan's body to begin throbbing. He could hear Kylan's heartbeat increase as he bit his bottom lip, asking for entrance and Kylan allowing it. Kylan's tongue was used to dominance, hence why he pushed his head, deepening his first and causing Jonah to grunt against the kiss, surprised by the strength this boy had. As Jonah was focused on leading, he was surprised when he felt Kylan's finger reach his zipper, purposely glazing his finger against the fabric above his pecker, which caused Jonah to grunt again. The moment of shock was enough for Kylan to return to his dominance. As they pulled away, Jonah loosened Kylan's ty, "You have no idea what I'm going to do to you right now."
"Let's go upstairs," Kylan breathed, and Jonah smelled the breath of alcohol.
They reached his bedroom, and Jonah pushed him on the bed, pulling his cabinet and retrieving a condom. He assured that the door was locked and undressed before approaching Kylan's, wanting to see his face blare red as he observed the abs on Jonah's physique. It always elicited hormones from within Jonah, merely staring at Kylan's turned-on face as he bit his bottom lip, wanting more.
The rest of the night remained in the memories of both of them.

It was the first time Kylan woke up first and felt such weight around his waist. When he turned over, he saw Jonah's sleeping face, snoring softly with his mouth open a bit. It caused him to smile, and he leaned in towards Jonah, cuddling closer to him. Jonah shuffled in his sleep and pulled Kylan tighter to him, returning to his snores.
It was another hour until Jonah's eyes fluttered open, and he met Kylan's scrutinizing gaze. He frowned, lethargically saying, "What?"
Kylan nervously replied, "You look cute sleeping."
Jonah smirked, tightening his grip around Kylan and massaging his back, "You don't have to get so nervous around me anymore. You can tell me how you feel without getting all flustered."
"Okay," he breathed, snuggling his forehead in Jonah's crook between his pecs.
Jonah remembered what Leah had said the night before. All she had said was the truth; their break up was only due to the baby that she desperately wanted to keep, and at the time, he time told her that was not ready. That being the case, if she had not had the baby, they would have probably still been together.
However, it also made him realize something else. Even though he was not gay, the feelings he had for Kylan were not light. Hence why, he said, "Kylan?"
"Hmm?"
"I love you." Kylan thought he had a heart attack, his breath falling short into his throat as he stopped breathing for a second. Jonah reached his fingers under Kylan's chin and raised his head, forcing him to meet his gaze, "I said, I love you." Kylan was shocked, never having thought that Jonah Minty, son of the Mayor, most popular jock at his school, would profess his love to a nerdy guy like him. He had been through years believing he was useless, having his father proclaim how ashamed he was of Kylan being his son. Hence, he was surprised by those words he never thought he would get to hear one day.
"Do you love me?" Jonah asked since Kylan had been quiet for a while.
Kylan rapidly nodded his head, "Of course I do."
"Then say it," he was growing a bit worried since he was not hearing his love being reciprocated.
Until Kylan finally said, "I love you."
