Chapter 13
He stared at Ashley munching on her food and realized how cute she actually was. She had pretty blue eyes and short blonde hair, a sharp tiny face structure with high cheekbones. Her lips were small in length and width, but he did not mind. Actually, he kind of wanted to experience their taste. When she realized he was examining her, she frowned, "What?"
"Nothing," he immediately said, lowering his eyes to continue eating his food. Then, he realized that what he was hiding was not a bad thing and sighed before saying, "I was just thinking to myself how beautiful are." She was not drop-dead gorgeous, and neither had he thought she was beautiful. He only thought she was cute. However, seeing her cheeks become slowly red as she yelped in shock was worth it.
Ella had been furious when he delivered the news that he wasn't spending lunch with her, and even worse when she found out it was with a girl. She had grabbed him by his collar and slammed him against the lockers, "Are you serious, Ky? You're ditching for a girl? That's disrespectful."
"How is that disrespectful-"
"For one, you're not even straight, so I know it's not because you like her."
He rolled his eyes, "I'm just being nice"
"Well, you're being mean to me, and I should be your top priority. I'll remember this," and after a scoff, she turned on her heels and sprinted away.
He shuddered she was one frightening person. He had also seen Jonah this morning, which was not a pleasant sight. Jonah had moved seats, switched with his friend to sit as for away from Kylan as possible. Additionally, he had told Bradley to stand in front of Kylan as he changed; therefore, he would not glance in the direction of Jonah. Another aspect was that he allowed Bradley to make fun of Kylan and would not say anything as Bradley joked about all he could find were reasonable subjects. Including the way he had jammed his foot on his chest and almost caused him to have a concussion.
That had been a pain.
The only person that had been kind was Ashley. "My fourth pet will most likely be a kitten since we only have one, and she's a bitch."
"What do you mean?" Kylan asked, interested.
She shrugged her shoulders, "She slaps my dogs, has this mean look on her face all the time, jumps around, and breaks everything. I hate her, to be truthful."
Kylan chuckled, "That sounds exactly like someone I know." Ella's face appeared in his mind. "Anyways, we should get going. Lunch is practically over." "You're right."
They had sat on an outside bench and headed back inside to the school. Kylan admiringly walked her to her classroom, which was near his next classroom as well. However, before she entered the room, she lifted herself onto her tippy-toes and placed her lips onto his. She only wanted a peck, but Kylan grabbed her waist and leaned in, using all the tricks he knew and causing her to gasp against the kiss as she held in a moan. When she pulled away, her eyes were dazed, and she entered her classroom with her hormones rushing all around her body. However, as Kylan turned to head to his classroom, he stopped in his steps when he realized Jonah had been standing not even five feet away from him, and when they met gaze, Jonah scoffed and continued his path. He was evidently still angry at him, which Kylan did understand.
The next time he saw Ashley was at the end of the day. She leaned against the locker beside him, observing him switch out the books he did not need and placing them into his locker while taking the ones he did need and shoving them in his bag. "Do you have any siblings?" she asked.
He shook his head, piling up his textbooks, "Nope. I'm an only child, although I count my cousin as my sister. What about you?"
"I have two sisters. They're really annoying and are way older than me."
Kylan shrugged, "At least you do have a sibling."

"Yea, you're right," she breathed. "I also wanted to ask you, are you attending the dance at the end of the month?"
He smiled, "I remember you asking me that."
"Yes, it'll be fun."
After shrugging his shoulders, he said, "I don't usually go to dances."
"Please," she begged, "you've never been to a dance with me before. We'll have fun."
He scratched the side of his face, hesitating as he said, "I'll have to ask my cousin"
"No," she refused, "not your cousin. Only you and I."
Kylan met her gaze, and the desperate expression on her face caused his heart to ache. Finally, he nodded his head, "Fine. I'll go." "Go where?" Bradley's voice came from behind them, and as Kylan turned around, he realized Jonah and his friends were with him.

He gulped, lowering his eyes as Ashley faced them, "The school dance at the end of this month."
"We never had that before," he frowned.
She shrugged her shoulders, "Student council decided to add that this year. You should all go," she said, widening her arms and motioning towards the group where Jonah stood. "Anyway, I have volleyball practice. I'll call you later, sounds good?" Before he could accept, she leaned forward and kissed him, and again, Kylan did not make it a short kiss but a make-out session as she gripped the front of his shirt and pulled him tighter against him. However, she needed to pull away or else she'd be late, but Kylan did not want to, and instead, his lips trailed along her jawline and found her neck as he chuckled, hearing her giggle when he bit her flesh. "I really have to go," she breathed.
He pulled away, "Alright, have fun." When she skipped away, that was when he realized that the group of guys were still standing behind him, and when he turned back around, Bradley was eyeing him suspiciously.
"Is that your new little girlfriend?" he asked. Kylan shrugged his shoulders, but it was apparent Bradley was distressing him, "I always thought you were gay."
Kylan did not reply, but when he met the familiar gaze of the navy irises, he felt his legs begin to shiver. Flames were burning within those eyes, and his blood was boiling terribly hot that Jonah thought his body would combust into acid. He was raging, and the problem he was facing was that he had no idea how to get rid of that girl. His mind was racing, and with a clenched jaw, he spun around on his heels and stormed away, numbering some curses under his breath. Kylan shuddered-he was scary as well.
