HENRIETTA
A shiver ran along my spine as his lips continued to kiss me fervently. His eyes bore into mine with a hunger, and the intensity of his gaze revealed a desire that mirrored my own. But he tried his best to be as gentle as possible only to fail miserably.
I moaned against his mouth as his hand rested against my waist, pulling me closer as if he couldn’t get enough of
me.
He pulled back, our labored breaths mingling with each other. He rested his forehead against mine but I could not take it any longer. Like him, I became hungry for his kisses as well. I caught his lips, much to his surprise, and kissed him with the same passion as he did earlier.
He carried my hand to wound around his neck, giving me support for what he was about to do. With a swift motion, he grabbed my waist and made me sit on his lap, all while kissing me passionately. I gasped as I felt the cold bite of the wind against my exposed skin. The robe had fallen from my shoulders and the night dress did little to cover what needed to be covered.
I pulled away from the kiss and we stared at each other’s eyes. There were no words needed for us to know how much we desired for this moment. Our eyes met and it was enough to know that we both wanted this to happen. His eyes left mine and surveyed me. His breathing was labored as he looked down at my mouth, my neck, and the neckline of my dress which revealed a glimpse of the valley of my breasts.
I saw him swallow hard and I could not help the flush on my cheek and the smile on my face knowing that the
most ruthless man desired me.
Slowly, his hand reached the strap of my dress and the silken material smoothly glided down my shoulder, making me hitch my breath. He met my gaze once again as if seeking permission and he saw no protest, he slowly leaned closer, his mouth hovering over my bare shoulder. The featherlight kiss made me shiver against
his arm.
“Andreas–” I pleaded. I do not know what I was pleading for. One thing for certain is that I liked what he was doing. I liked his warmth. I liked how his lips gently caressed my bare shoulder as if it were the most fragile thing.
Then his lips moved to my collarbone. I tilted my head up, giving him more access. I started feeling his tongue running along my skin until he reached the base of my neck. His teeth grazing my skin sent tingles on my nerve

endings, making my toes curl and my back arch.

An unfamiliar sensation enveloped me, a stirring experience completely foreign to my senses. Through the delicate fabric of my nightdress, I could feel the texture of his calloused fingers, a testament to the years he had spent honing his skills as a warrior, I never thought that rough hands like Andreas’, accustomed to the rigors of battle, could elicit such a profound sense of desire through a simple touch.
His mouth trailed to my other shoulder, teeth grazing my skin as he bit the strap of my dress, letting it slide down. I wore nothing underneath the dress and when it pooled along my waist, I was laid bare in front of him. I did not feel the cold bite of the breeze. Heat has already nooks of my body.
Embarrassment washed over me in an instant, a warmth that rivaled the passion we’d just shared. Andreas’ eyes bore into mine, gently removing my arms and covering my exposed breast. Without a word, he grabbed my waist once again and gently laid me on the bed. The mattress was cold against my back but I barely felt it. Our gazes locked and he leaned in once again to capture my lips, as though he could not get enough of them.
He pressed his body into mine and that’s when I felt his arousal, pressing against my softness.
He stopped kissing me and pulled back. I realized it was because I had willingly wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him close.
“Henrietta–”
“Just kiss me,” I said, cutting him off.
He swallowed hard and then started to move, making me feel how hard he was for me. Our gazes locked as he continued what he was doing, watching my reaction. My mouth hung open as the pleasure started to build up.
I could still sense the hesitation from him and I could not help but feel frustrated. I pulled him closer but he braced his hands on the bed. I looked at him, confused.
“W-What’s wrong?”
“I… I can’t do this. I–”
“What?” Humiliation settled in and I scuttled to the corner of the bed, grabbing the blanket to cover my bareness.
“Henrietta, it’s not like that–”

“I apologize,” I started, stopping the tears that threatened to come out. A dry laugh came out of my mouth as I dared to meet his gaze. “I misread the whole situation. You were lonely and sad and I…I should have known
better.”
“What? No–”
I raised my hand, stopping him. “I understand. You don’t need to explain it to me. It was my fault I misunderstood the whole situation. I momentarily forgot our arrangement and that…this was not part of our
deal.”
I averted my gaze, afraid tears would start to fall if I look at him a minute longer. Humiliation enveloped around me, coldness embraced my bare shoulders where his lips had been. What has gotten into me? Why did I let that happen?
“Da mn it,” he muttered and in an instant, he was already in front of me, grabbing both my hands. “Will you let me finish first? Please?”
I blinked at him and when I did not say a word, he sighed. “Thank goodness you decided to keep quiet.”
“What do you–” He placed a hand on my mouth, silencing me.
“It’s my turn now. You’re not allowed to speak.”
I narrowed my eyes at him.
“I can’t do this because this is—” he hesitated and then looked around. “If I am going to do this with you, I’d like to do it in a place where you could properly make a sound, where I could properly groan as I please you.”
My throat went dry as he let out that boyish grin.
“I want to do this after we get married. That is, if you allow it.” Hope filled his eyes and I was still too stunned to say anything.
His eyes darted to where I was clenching the blanket to cover my naked body. “Please don’t feel that you’re not desirable, f u ck– you have no clue how much it’s taking me just restraining myself not to pin you in this bed and do what I want with you, just as you commanded.”
“As much as I want to do that, I have to stop myself.”

My eyes searched his and there was nothing but sincerity there. Suddenly his promise made me anticipate for it. I swallowed hard and he let out a chuckle and said, “You can talk now.”
“I…I don’t know what to say.”
He laughed. “That’s alright too.” He stood from the bed and straightened his coat, I watched him and he caught me staring. He leaned to kiss my head and said, “I need to get going. You ought to get some sleep as well. Good night, Henrietta,”
Before I could mutter a response, he leaped off my balcony, leaving me utterly dumbfounded.
