The Elven Princess

Aaron’s POV ~

Shaelin and I are discussing what to do with Amy..and she has an excellent idea. We are sending her to a university out of state. One that teaches the Moon Goddess Doctrine. The entire curriculum is geared towards preparing wolves for their mates.. making sure rejection is taken seriously and detrimental to wolves everywhere!

I linked Gavin to bring Amy and her parents to my office. Might as well get this over with! Shaelin sits in the chair beside me desk, saying she will be relieved to have Amy away for awhile. I leaned over, kissing her.. just as Gavin walked in with Amy.

I told them to have a seat and spoke “Amy, your behavior has become an issue. Your Luna and I have decided to send you to MoonGlow University, in Maine. You will stay there for two years… studying the Moon Goddess’s edicts..until you learn about the sanctity of the mate bond. At the end of those two years.. you will be evaluated and tested. If you fail.. you will stay another two years. This has to change, Amy. You are not going to come between my mate and me. What happened between us was five years ago. Let it go! It was a mistake then… it is still my biggest regret!”

She started crying “I will stop! Don’t send me away! I just didn’t believe Shaelin is good enough for you! She’s an Elf! Why would a wolf be mated to an Elf? I will leave it alone, though! I don’t want to leave!”

Her father spoke “Alpha, if I may, I believe it is in Amy’s best interest that she does attend that school! I took the liberty of taking these pictures.. I believe you should see them.” And he handed me his phone, opened to his photo gallery. The pictures were startling.

They were of a bedroom… every wall was covered in pictures of me.. several of Shay and me.. one particular picture was of us dancing…and Amy had superimposed her face over Shay’s. Other pictures of Shay and me showed Shaelin’s face X’d out.. scratched out.. scribbled out. The while bedroom was wall to wall… ceiling to floor.. pictures of me. Creepy as fuck.. And Shaelin said “Oh yeah! You’re definitely going to University! And you will be required to attend therapy sessions two hours, daily!” Amy jumped up to reach for Shaelin.. who smiled and told her “Or I will put you down.. right here..right now!”

I dismissed them, after giving strict instructions to get her packed and ready to leave in an hour. Then I had Gavin appoint two guards to accompany her to the school. It will be such a relief to have her gone!

Just then, Shaelin gasped as we both felt a ripple of energy shake our bodies.. I looked at her “What the fuck was that!?” She grinned and asked “You felt that!!? Your Elven powers are getting stronger! That, my love, was the opening of a rather large portal, I’d say!”

She had no sooner said that.. two things happened. Tremaine slammed into the office and my phone rang… Nimue on the other end. Answering, I put her on speaker “Hello Nimue! We felt it here.. It reached you?” She responded immediately “Yes! Since we all felt it.. it is safe to assume it’s opened between our two packs. That narrows the playing field..and actually makes it convenient!”

Tremaine says “We need to locate it quickly.. the scouts will be entering this realm within the hour! It will help, knowing how many scouts they send out. The plan is to let them find where I’m staying?”

I replied “The plan is to make them work for it! They will find you.. but we want it to take them, at least, a week.. longer would be better. That gives us the opportunity to have teams in place to take the assassins into custody, as they filter through the portal.”

Shaelin tells us “I have an approximate location.. Let’s head out. Tremaine, I want you to stay here. I don’t want an accidental sighting until we are ready!”

We headed out within ten minutes. Nimue and Malcolm are meeting us in Neutral territory, where Shay said she senses the most energy.. it will be just the four of us.. with warriors hidden from view, in case we are spotted.

Within minutes of arriving, Nimue and Shaelin located the portal.. it was huge! Easily eight feet high and six wide. Shay grins “Well, that is unexpected! Plans on using it to get as many through at once, as he can! Can you see it?” As she turns to me, I nod.. “I couldn’t see the other one until you exposed it.. but this one is clear as day.. I also see a group of about twelve…walking this way.” She spun and looked again at DullenDirk and says “Fuck… Umm… hide?!”

We all grabbed tree branches and hoisted ourselves up into the trees. Watching the portal as the men stepped through was surreal! Twelve men now stood, where before there was nothing. I saw them all stop and sniff the air. Then head towards the area of town.

Once they were gone from view, I looked back at the portal. It was closed! I looked at Shaelin, she shrugged “They closed it once they were through. Luckily, we already know where it is. So.. we can get our warriors into decent hiding places. I have a feeling my house, in town is where they’re headed!”

She’s not living there, anymore! Big Surprise!
