Chapter 267
Chapter 267
Between chatting, some jokes, and demolishing tower after tower of blocks, the girls finally finished getting ready.
Naturally, the gentlemen were the first to head off to the church.
As soon as they left, David rushed to check on the girls.
“Ladies, hurry up!” he called as he entered the house. “We’ll be leaving in five minutes, so just a few last touches and–wow, Deborah!” he exclaimed when he saw her in her wedding dress. “You look stunning. That dress is gorgeous on you.”
“It was worth the wait. Now she looks spectacular in a dress she loves,” Samantha commented. “Even if she had worn a dress with my little grandson still inside her, she would have looked beautiful.”
“But she wouldn’t be able to enjoy the toast,” Caroline said.
Deborah and David exchanged a glance at that comment.
“By the way, Caroline,” David said, moving closer to admire Deborah’s face, “if you don’t mind, could I have your business card? Your work is so professional, and I’d love to feature you in my catalog of makeup artists.”
“What…”
“Of course, only if you’re interested…” David said, but Caroline cut him off.
“Absolutely!” she said excitedly, pulling out her purse to hand him her card. “Wow.. that’s actually my biggest dream for someone of your caliber to recognize my work.”
“Hehe, I love supporting unknown talent, doubly so since I was in your shoes before getting the right help. David said, taking her card with a smile.
“Boss, they’ve arrived,” one of David’s assistants announced, showing that the car was already parked at the entrance.
“Perfect. Now come and help me with Deborah,” David instructed his assistants, who helped lift the train of the dress and the veil to keep them from getting dirty before the ceremony.
Despite leaving on time, they were already running late for the church.
This caused Jayden to be slightly agitated as his bride hadn’t arrived yet.
“Calm down, son,” Eric said, watching him pace back and forth.
“But… what if something happened to them?”
“They would have notified us by now, especially since David is with them.”
“Right… it’s just that…”
*Jayden, relax. I doubt my daughter will get away from you,” Nicholas said, placing a hand on his shoulders as he continued pacing. “Besides, you’re already married, and this ceremony is just a formality. remember?”

“Ugh…” Jayden looked away.
“Come on, kid, calm down,” George said. “It’s most likely just traffic; limousines often get stuck in the streets because of their size.”
“Dad’s right. My sister won’t be long.” Elliot added.
Jayden just grimaced.
“They’re here!” At that moment, one of David’s assistants arrived, visibly excited, pointing towards the parking area.
“Yes!” Jayden exclaimed, trying to go see them, but someone grabbed his arm firmly.
“Where are you going?” Nicholas asked, looking him in the eye.
“To see Deb and James, obviously.”
“Not so fast. Turn around and go into the church,” Nicholas ordered with a frown.
“Boo…”
“Come on, son, you need to listen to your father–in–law, Eric joked. “Kid, help me out,” he said to Elliot
“Yes, let’s go inside so you can wait for her there,” Elliot said, gently pushing Jayden to get him moving.
Jayden made a face, but felt reassured when he saw David getting out of the vehicle. He stopped. resisting and followed his father and Elliot, accompanied by the others. Only Nicholas and Christian went to help the girls out of the limo.
As they approached the limousine, Caroline was getting out of the car, so Christian quickly took her hand
to help her.
“You look stunning,” he said flirtatiously, looking his wife up and down.
“Thank you, and you’re not looking too shabby yourself,” she replied with a playful smile.
“Let me help you, Samantha,” Nicholas offered, as she was holding James.
“Thanks,” the blonde said as she exited the vehicle.
“Anytime. Wow, my daughter, you look beautiful,” Nicholas said as he saw Deborah being helped out by the assistants. He quickly stepped in to take her hand himself. “You’re just as beautiful as your mother,” he said, adjusting her veil.
“Really?”
1 feel like I’m looking right at her now.”
“Hehe, thanks, Dad.”
“Whoa, no, please don’t cry,” David said, seeing the nostalgic looks on their faces.
“Sorry, I got carried away,” Nicholas said, wiping his eyes.
