The Diary Of My Dead Wife

Chapter 25: IQ Dropped

Sophie nodded in silence, and then Zac kissed her in the eye.
"I'll wait for you outside.’’ However, after a while, she fell asleep in the bathtub maybe because she had done so much in one day
that she was exhausted.
Just as Sophie was inside the bathroom, Zac made a video call to Thaddeus.
Thaddeus’ gloomy face appeared on the screen.
"I heard that Sophie is not dead?"
Zac was not surprised that Thaddeus was so well informed.
Anyway, he never wanted to hide it.
"Yes"
"I heard she became retarded?"
"It was because of the head injury. When she woke up, her IQ dropped to the level of four or five-year-old; he corrected him
seriously.
"What difference does that make?"
Thaddeus asked sharply, "I remembered that last time someone told me that Sophie was dead, and now I heard she's alive! The
Williams daughter is really difficult to break. What are you going to do next?"
"Two days later, I'll take her back to the U.S., remarry her, and then take good care of her for the rest of my life."
"You are crazy!"
Thaddeus nearly jumped out of his wheelchair in anger.
"Dad, I have been crazy already.’
"Nonsense! Haven't you been fine all year? You would have forgotten Sophie and the daughters of the Williams family if she
hadn't come back from the dead two years ago! Also, do you really think a fool can be our family's housewife? Do you want to
see me being humiliated? How will the upper-class people react if there found out that there's a person like her in our family? "

"I don't care."
Zac's voice had a hint of frustration.
"Dad, you should be glad that she is still alive.Otherwise, I'm not sure if I can still live up to this day"
"Y-you intentionally want to piss me off! Where is your brain? Was it eaten by the Williams family's daughters? Don't you think
this is all too coincidental? Don't you find it strange that this seemed to be a plan?"
"I deserved it” he said mockingly.
"But no matter what, Sophie is still alive, which is God's greatest gift to me.Therefore, no matter how much conspiracy or
coincidence is behind this, I don't care.I can bear everything on my own as long as she is still alive and by my side"
After that, Zac ended up the video call.
He then went back to Sophie's room.
He called her at the bathroom door, but she didn't respond for a long time.
So he opened the door carefully, only to find that she had fallen asleep.
He carefully took her out of the bathtub, dried her, and put on her pajamas.
He was doing it gently so that Sophie wouldn't wake up.
Even though he wanted her so much, he was strangely not turned on by her fair and soft skin as well as her beautiful body.
Zac kissed her brow softly and then held her in his arms while she was sleeping.
In fact, he still felt that what he was experiencing right now was just a dream.
He couldn't believe that he would be able to hold her gently again and that she would come back to him alive.
‘Am I dreaming? It must be! But no, this is real!’ he said to himself.
Zac calmed himself but refused to sleep all night, afraid that if he did, he would awaken in another world without her.

However, he later fell asleep, possibly due to exhaustion or because the faint sweet fragrance on Sophie's body was too
soothing.
Zac woke up the next morning to find her still in his arms, which made him so happy and excited that he almost cried with joy.
‘It's not a dream! She's really back, really, really back!’ he thought happily.
But then his smile froze again when he noticed she was feverish.
‘She's sick!’
