The Diary Of My Dead Wife

Chapter 24: Kiss Her Tears Away

The housekeeper hurried over after Tristan departed.
"Miss has always refused to eat or sleep. She has been crying and always looking for...looking for Tristan." Zac felt sad at what
he heard.
"Okay, I'll go and see her,'' he said, and then walked towards Sophie's room.
When he arrived at Sophie's room, he saw that Sophie was indeed crying.
Her white little face was red with tears, and her shoulders were shaking.
But she didn't cry, just like a little milk cat who had been suffering indignities.
Zac's heart suddenly ached and weakened upon seeing her cry.
"Sophie, what's the matter? Why don't you eat?"
He knelt in front of her and held her hands.
Sophie tried to avoid her face from him, but she couldn't do it since the sofa back was behind her.
So no matter how she hid, she couldn't completely do it.
"I want to go home.’ She said timidly, "I want to find Tristan, I want Tristan."
She was still fine earlier, but now that it was getting dark, her anxiety suddenly came back.
She didn't want anything more than to return home, like a small girl who wanted to be with her father when it got dark.
So Zac held her hand and passed the warmth of his palm to her.
He then smiled at her and stated, "This is your home.I'm your family. As for Tristan, he has something to do that's why he left.He
entrusted you to me.From now on, you are mine and I am yours. You are safe with me, so don't be afraid.I will always take care
of you, protect you and accompany you.I will do it a hundred times more than Tristan do.Stop crying and give me a chance, will
you? "
"Not good..."

The rest of her pleasant mood completely vanished, and she began to be scared knowing that Tristan abandoned her.
Zac took her face lovingly, kissed the tears on her cheeks, and said to her in the gentlest voice possible, "Well, if you want to see
Tristan, I will let you see him.But you have to promise me one thing?"
"What?" Her eyes twinkled for a moment.
"Eat first. As long as you eat well, I will let you see him.
"Alright! I'll eat!"
After the meal, Zac kept his promise because he asked Tristan to record a video.
Tristan mentioned in the video that he needed to travel far away and was unable to care for her, so he entrusted her to Zac.
He also told her to listen to Zac, but if Zac was rude to her, he would take her back right away.
Then Tristan told her not to be afraid, but to be the bravest and strongest she could be.
After watching the video, Sophie suddenly became very silent.
She huddled herself into a small space and leaned against the corner of the wall.
She cried silently the entire time, like an abandoned little milk cat.
Zac half knelt in front of her.
"It’s late. You should go to bed."
But Sophie didn't look at him.
She just buried her little face in her arms and silently resisted.
"Are you going to take a bath? Can you do it yourself?"
But Sophie didn't respond to him.
"Oh, don't talk is oh.I'll take you!"

He then stretched out his arm to hug her, only to be bitten on his wrist.
His movements paused and hurt a little, but she didn't bite hard.
He indulged and spoiled her hair, just let her bite.
After biting him, Sophie suddenly burst into tears, and she cried harder now.
Her Tristan didn't want her.
She must have made a mistake, so Tristan didn't want her.
When Zac noticed that she seemed tired of crying, he then carried her into the bathroom.
"Can you wash yourself? Do you want me to help you?" he asked her gently while getting some water.
