The Damned Princess

V came running after me and asked “what the hell is the matter with you lady, you look so stressed”. “No, I’m fine” I replied. Then it occurred to me that V literally knows the whole university and she might have an idea. I asked trying to be nonchalant “hey V do you know this Jayson guy”.

She smirked at me “aww my little Enna has a crush? that’s why she’s so restless”? I blushed slightly and replied, “shut up V, he’s in one of my classes and I needed to ask for notes and he’s the only one I know in that class”. She sighed “hmm Jayson, tall guy super handsome, always has the ‘don’t you dare approach me, look on his face’, yeah he’s in one of my classes too.”

“So, do you know where he might be because he wasn’t in class today”, I asked. She replied, “yeah he came here on sports scholarship so he was in the team straight away and a basketball match is about to happen among many other universities around here, so he might be practicing”. I grabbed her hand and said, “come on let’s go see him”. She laughed “desperate are we”, I glared at her and she raised her hands in surrender.

When we reached there, I looked around and saw him sitting there with his friends eating lunch. I can’t even explain the relief I felt when my eyes landed on him. He was laughing at something; I could see his eyes crinkled and the beautiful voice of his laughter soothed all the pain I was feeling.

I was so lost that I forgot about V, when I look at her she was waving at the boys trying to get their attention, she was about to call Jayson’s name but I covered her mouth and asked her with wide eyes “what the hell are you doing”. She looked at me like I was crazy and said “you only wanted notes from him, now what do you want, him to guess it”.

I said, “stop shouting, he’s busy right now I’ll ask for them some other day”. “Are you crazy we came all the way here, at least tell him so that he can give it to you later” she said and before I could stop her, she called out his name loudly. Holy shit, what the hell was I thinking bringing this girl with me, I panicked.

All the guys looked up at us, some were checking us out. When I looked at him, I could see that his eyes were only on me and he started walking towards us. Oh, moon goddess, what do I do, what do I do, I was panicking and looked at him and shouted “it’s okay, we’ll talk to you later”. I covered V’s mouth because I knew she’d definitely say something and dragged her out of there with me.

I could feel his eyes on me, I turned around to look at him once and could see he was biting his lip to stop himself from laughing. Looking back was such a mistake because it brought wild thoughts to my brain before I’d do anything crazy, I dragged both of us out of there.

When I knew we were far from him I stopped, V licked my palm covering her mouth. “Ew, ew you’re disgusting V”, I said wiping my hand on her clothes. She laughed “who asked you to cover my mouth, what if I died or something”. I looked at her “I covered your mouth not your nose silly”.

“Whatever, why did you run away from there, you said you wanted notes then you didn’t want to talk are you crazy” she ranted. “Oh god stop, we were getting late for our class that’s why I dragged us back. Now shut up and let’s go” I said. She just huffed and we both went to our class.

We came back home; I was so happy to see him. I couldn’t stop thinking about that spark in his eyes and his lips. “What are you doing to me Jayson”, I thought dreamily. Becky and Liam cleared their throats loudly and I jumped slightly.

They were both smirking at me, I could feel my cheeks heat up. They laughed at me and Liam said “I’m glad you’re happy, now for your nightmares, two of our very special men are always keeping their eyes on Jayson, so that if he’s in any sort of trouble they can protect him and inform us about it”. I hugged them both so tightly and thanked them a thousand times.

We ate dinner, talked about our day, they both teased me a little but we were happy. After helping Becky clean up, we all went to our rooms. I didn’t need to sleep as I slept enough last night and I was kind of happy and didn’t want the nightmare to ruin my mood. So, I did some of my college work and went for a run as usual.

I slept for an hour after coming back and woke up to the screeching noise of my alarm clock but for a change, I wasn’t annoyed, I was happy to wake up and go back to college so that I get to see my handsome mate again. This past month, I made peace with the fact that at least I get to see him daily, something is always better than nothing.

I went downstairs, greeted both Liam and Becky very cheerfully. Liam looked weirdly at me and put his hand on my forehead, I rolled my eyes at him. “I really want to meet the guy who turned you from a grumpy morning person to a happy one”, Liam said.

I replied dramatically “oh shut up, I’ve always been this cheerful girl, bringing happiness in the life of those around me”. “Yeah right” Liam rolled his eyes, I just showed him my tongue like any mature person would do and started my breakfast.

When we entered the campus, I quickly said goodbye to both of them and ran towards my class, I could hear them laughing at my stupidity. I met with V halfway and hugged her and said “good morning beautiful”, she looked at me weirdly and said, “I’ll ask Liam to take you to a doctor”. I just rolled my eyes.

This was my last lecture, the one I share with him so I was really excited. I came to the class ten minutes early and just sat there looking at the door waiting for him to enter. When it was the time people started coming one by one, he didn’t. My teacher also came by now but he was still not there, I was hoping that maybe he’s late and will show up anytime now but that didn’t happen. Then I remembered the stupid match he’s practicing for and groaned.

I was so crushed. Moon Goddess, why do you always do such stuff to me, I cried to myself. I was so excited for the whole day for this lecture and now I couldn’t wait for this teacher to just leave and let me go home and cry myself to sleep. Finally, after an eternity the class ended, I sat back with my head down so that I could go after all of them are gone. When it was completely silent, I thought of leaving. I looked up and he was standing there looking at me.

My heart went crazy in just one second, he was looking like a Greek god, so perfect in his leather jacket and ripped denim. I looked around and there was nobody else in the class, oh shit. I stood up and he started walking towards me, moon goddess what do I do now, how do I run away this time.

His mesmerizing sent was making me crazy, he was walking closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine, my mind couldn’t come up with an escape plan. I was stepping back with every step he was taking towards me and then the most cliché thing happened, my back hit the wall and I couldn’t go back any further and now I was feeling bad for judging all those movie scenes and calling those girls dumb for not being able to getaway.

He came so close to me, I could feel his breath on me, staring deep in my eyes. I was biting my lip so hard to stop myself from saying anything stupid and my hands were clutching on my clothes because it was really hard for me to not touch him when he was this close. His eyes went down to my lips and he licked his bottom lip, it made my heart skip a beat.

“Sienna”, he said, I had to shut my eyes for a moment to control my lycan. “Jayson” I whispered back and looked in his eyes. His hands were on the walls as if he knew I’d run away any moment and he moved really close to my ear, his breath was tickling my skin, he whispered, “why do always run away when you see me”. My eyes widened because I didn’t know he would have noticed. He was so close; it was really hard to concentrate on what he was saying.

I laughed nervously “no that’s so not true, I’m sure you might have confused me with someone else”. “It’s not possible because I’ve never seen anybody like you”, he said very softly, looking at me. My face heated up and I was blushing furiously, my heartbeat was so loud like bullets were being fired and I was so nervous that he would hear it. “You wanted to talk to me about something” he questioned.

I was so lost I just said “huh”. He smiled at me and moved a strand of hair from my face but without touching my skin. There was such strong electricity in the air, I was sure that he could feel it too. He said, “you came to the court to see me yesterday, with your friend”.

Looking at his smile I almost forgot how to talk, it took me a moment when I said, “nothing I just wanted to ask about the assignment”. He smirked at me “but no assignment has been given to us yet”. Damn it, “notes I meant notes”, I said smiling nervously.

He laughed at me and goddess it was so beautiful and melodious, I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling creepily at him. It was so hard for me to not run my hands through his curly hair that looked like a beautiful mess. It took all of my strength to not pull him close and kiss him. I wanted to know how it would feel when his lips meet mine.

I looked down at my feet because I couldn’t hold his gaze anymore but I could still feel his eyes on me. Suddenly my phone buzzed making me jump slightly, I checked it was Liam calling me, I looked up at Jayson and whispered, “uh, I’ve to go my brother’s waiting for me”.

He smiled at me and nodded and moved aside to let me go. I took a few steps forward and turned around, he was leaning on the wall, his hands crossed at his chest, I asked “you didn’t come to the class today”. He smiled and answered, “was practicing for my upcoming match”.

I nodded and as I was turning around to leave, he called out my name “Sienna” I looked at him, he said “I’ll see you around and hopefully you won’t try to run away” and smiled at me mischievously. I nodded smiling sheepishly and said “see you” and waved at him, he just smiled at me. I could feel his eyes on me for the whole time I walked out of the class.

I met Liam and Becky by the car, I was panting as if I ran miles. Liam asked, “where were you Enna, classes ended like fifteen minutes back”. I blushed thinking about where I was and Becky noticed it, she smiled brightly and said to Liam “she was obviously with V, now come on let’s go home”. We both nodded at her and sat in the car and left for home.
