The Damned Princess

The moment I started walking away I broke down. Tears were flowing down my face; it was hard to breathe. Every step I took forward felt so heavy like I was dragging so much weight with me. I used to think that the worst thing in my life is to not know my mate but I was wrong. The worst thing is seeing your mate afraid of the monster you are.

I wanted to scream, to let it out how much it was hurting me. The image of him holding a knife was not getting out of my mind and I don’t think it will ever. I was just walking on the roadside, teary faced and lost in my own thoughts.

A car came by my side and it honked, I did not look who it was and moved forward. It came by my side again and I heard Jayson’s voice “Amore, stop please”. I turned towards him, he stopped the car and got out.

“Amore, I’m sorry I didn’t want to hurt you”, he said. “Go back to your house”, I said and started moving away. He grabbed am arm “I’m sorry Enna, what do you expect from me, I freaked out”. “I said go home Jayson”, I said without even turning towards him.

My phone started buzzing in my pocket, I took it out and saw Liam was calling me, I did not answer. Then I saw numerous missed calls from Piero and Liam. Liam called me again and this time I answered, “why the fuck are you not answering your calls Sienna” he shouted.

“What happened”, I asked. “We’ve been calling to tell you that don’t leave Jayson’s house now because those guys stopped following me when they saw you were not in the car and they’re back to his house”, he told me. “Dammit, I already left Li and Jayson came after me”, I said in a panicked voice.

“What the fuck Enna, why” he shouted at me. I put the phone away from my ear and focused, I could not see any car but I could hear the sound of the engine. “Listen, Liam, I can hear them, they’re following us. It’s time we end it. I’m leading them to the jungle you follow behind with the guards” I told him.

“But what about Jayson” he questioned. I was quiet for a moment and then said “I won’t let them harm him”. “I know you won’t but what if you have to turn”, he asked. “He has to see the real me someday”, I said and hung up. “What’s wrong Sienna, who’s following us”, Jayson asked.

I was so furious at him right now for coming after me, “get in the car” I said and got in without waiting for him to say anything. He came in after a moment and asked “would you please tell me what the fuck’s going on”. I was getting more aggravated; it was hard to control my temper right now.

I took in a deep breath and said “just start driving towards the jungle”. “I’m not moving without knowing what’s going on” he said. “Why the fuck did you follow me” I shouted at him. He looked at me for a moment but did not say anything and started driving.

I called Piero, “Princess are you alright”, he asked. “I’m fine Piero, are you behind us”, I asked. “Yes, and the prince is right behind us in his car”, he told me. “Listen to me, you and Liam need to maintain a proper distance. I don’t want them to know that we know they’re following us. I can’t let them escape. So, make sure they don’t see you or Liam coming” I said.

“Okay, I’ll call prince Liam”, he said and I hung up. “Amore, I freaked out, I didn’t know how to react. When I found out, I couldn’t even believe if it could be true. I know you’re not bad, I just can’t wrap my head around everything” Jayson said. I did not say anything. I understand it’s not something easy to comprehend but it still feels like I was stabbed straight to my heart.

“Park the car somewhere here only”, I told him. He did before he cut the engine I said “listen to me carefully, stay close to me and no matter what happens you’ll keep a distance when they find us”. “I can protect myself Sienna”, he said. “Not from these people”, I told him. I was looking at him to know that he understands what I said, after a moment he nodded.

I started leading him inside the jungle, I was gripping his hand tightly. I don’t want him to get out of my sight for even a second. When we were deep in, we stopped for a moment. I was focusing if I could hear anybody because it was quite dark to see. I could hear footsteps and breathing of two.

They were close. Jayson cupped my face with his hand “Amore, I’m sorry for how I reacted”. I could see the pain in his eyes. I made my mind with what I want to do about our relationship. I removed his hand from my face and gave him a sinister smile “your reaction was right love; you should be scared of what I am”.

I closed my eyes and channeled my lycan. When I opened them, my eyes were red. I wanted him to be afraid of me. He was looking deep into my eyes, there were a lot of emotions in his eyes but I was not sure if fear was one of them.

I could hear people around us. “Give me a minute, will you”, I said to him and ran towards those men. Their eyes widened when they saw me, I punched one of them really hard on his nose. He lost balance and fell down. The other one looked alarmed. Before he could run, I grabbed his throat and punched him multiple times.

I grabbed both of their legs and dragged them to where Jayson was standing. I dropped them and grinned at Jayson. “Let me give you proper reasons to be afraid of me” I winked at him. Both the men got up, I turned towards them and growled “who sent you”. They did not answer and started stepping forward to attack me. “Really, you think you can beat me boys”, I said to them in a mocking tone.

They started to throw punches and kicks at me and I managed to dodge them all. I got the opportunity and punched one of them straight on the forehead and he fell down immediately. I grabbed the other one’s throat and pinned him to the tree. I was choking him; I saw he was trying to change into his lycan. I could not let that happen because then I’ll have to change.

Jayson walked to me and said in a panicked voice “Amore let him go, he’ll die”. “Oh, don’t stress, he’s a lycan, a little choking won’t hurt him”, I looked at the guy straight in his eyes and smirked “right honey”. If I waited more, he’ll change so I broke his neck and his body hit the ground.

I turned to look at Jayson, his eyes widened and he looked alarmed “you killed him” he asked. “Nope just broke his neck”, I said. He did not give away how he was feeling right now. He looked behind me and he pushed me out of the way.

I saw the other guy was holding a knife and Jayson held the blade trying to stop it to pierce his body. I growled loudly and kicked the guy in the ribs and he let go of the knife. I looked at Jay’s hand, it was bleeding, “I told you to stay away” I shouted at him. “I’m fine Amore, it’s just a small cut”, he said.

I turned and looked at that guy and he had now changed into his lycan. He was a lot bigger than me in my human form but I was seeing red and my lycan wanted him ripped apart for hurting my mate. I growled at him “I’ll rip you apart with my bare hands”. He charged towards me, I punched him on his chest. It did not do any damage to him.

He used his claw and slashed my stomach and my arm. I screamed and my back hit the ground. He came on top of me and his huge nails were clawing into my chest. Jayson hit him in the face with a branch and helped me get up. He was going to jump at me once again but Liam came in between and punched him hard and he fell back.

“Piero take Enna and Jayson with you and I’ll handle them” Liam ordered. I growled, “no, he dared to attack my mate, I’ll be the one ending him”. “Sienna you’re bleeding, we need to get you out of here” Liam shouted at me. I looked at him, he knew I won’t listen to him. “Just keep him safe”, I said.

I walked to the lycan; he was on his feet now. My own claws were out by now. He charged towards me and I jumped at him and kneed him in his chest and inserted my claws in his throat. He started whimpering and got his claws into my chest.

A little deeper and he could rip my heart out, I growled “did no one ever tell you, never mess with the lycan princess”. My one hand was still at his throat, with the other I ripped his spine out. His body hit the ground. I stepped away but I could not hold myself anymore and I fell down.

Jay and Liam hurried to me. I was bleeding, I looked at Liam he was mad because I did not listen to him. “You can have fun with the other one bro, he’s still alive” I winked at him. I looked at my mate and said “and that’s how you do it”. He looked pained to look at me. “We need to take her to the hospital now”, Jay said in a panicked tone.

I laughed “we’ve Becky we don’t need hospital”. I was feeling dizzy, I winced with pain when I tried to get up and fell back down. “You’ve lost too much blood Enna”, Liam said and picked me up in his arms. “Go back to your house Jay”, I told him and looked at Piero he nodded with understanding.

“I’m not going anywhere Amore; I’m coming with you”, he said. “You’ve seen what I’m capable of, don’t be a fool and believe that I won’t ever do it to you”, I told him and rested my head on my brother’s shoulder. “I don’t want anybody to come to our house Li” I whispered to him.

He started walking and I winced with every movement he made. Every slight movement hurt like a bitch. It was getting hard to keep my eyes open and focus on what’s happening around. I knew Liam would take care of everything now. So, I closed my eyes and let the darkness take over me.
