THE CROWNS DOMINION

Chapter 35

"Your hair..." Sasha said braiding it.It had become our daily routine that she would come every morning and braid my hair. I knew what she was talking about. It concerned me as well that my hair had so many white strands. At first I thought it was the stress but now that most of it was turning white I didn't know what to make of It.

"do you think I'm sick? Maybe I'm coming down with something" I said worried even my tone was low.

Sasha sighed "do you feel sick, you do not look sick Azrari"

"please don't call me that Sasha. You are my friend. I dont feel sick but my hair..." I smiled at her, it felt weird being called a name I hardly understood. I didn't like that,

She nodded her head "I will call you Aria when we are alone, Azrari for respect when we are outside and your hair looks just fine. It will probably go back to normal before you know it" she said finishing of her last braid

"I hope so, where are we going again? I have forgotten" I gave her a sheepish smile. She had already told me three times but the name was so hard to keep in mind.

She shook her head "Heddahlia, a territory deep in the eastern lands. The people there are yet to submit to the King. So we will make them."

"So this is your life, forcing people to submit and invading their lands. Isn't that wrong," I said. To be honest I didn't mean to offend her or anyone but politics was just brutal. It felt wrong and terrible to be a part of.

Sasha didn't look too happy about my little statement, her smile dropped "when something belongs to you and somebody else takes it you don't just sit. You don't just watch, you take it back. This is beyond politics, one day you will understand when he decides to tell you. Come, we need to go"

I held her hand "I didn't mean to offend you"

"it is well, I am not upset with you" she said smiling lightly.

I returned the smile before standing up. I looked at my dark grey dress for a second before following Sasha out. I had gotten used to the dressing here. It was weird that only I was made to dress in the long plain dresses while the rest of the people here wore short skirts made from animal skin and little leather tops.

They were basically half naked. Not that I was complaining, I would probably catch a cold every month if they ever made me wear that. I was just curious as to why I was the only one they made look decent.

Today we were riding horses. When I saw the horses outside I smiled. I had never seen one in real life and I didn't know how to ride one. Alaric was already on his horse. He was watching me, it made my stomach feel hot every time. I didn't understand my feelings towards the man so I tried to avoid his eyes and pretend that he wasn't watching my every move.

I touched the white horse lightly as If it would die if I was too rough. "you have never seen a Myra?" Sasha asked

"A Myra, that's what you call a horse. I have never seen one in real life" I smiled as I touched its back, it was so smooth and beautiful.

Sasha scrunched up her eyebrows as if it was strange but I let her because maybe it was strange and It was nobody's fault that I grew up in a world they didn't believe existed. I also grew up believing that their world was just a dream, that all of this didn't exist.

"okay Azrari the King will ride with you." she said taking the horse by its reigns. I glanced at Alaric, his horse was bigger and dark just like his wolf. I liked the white horse anyways, it was more less scary.

I shook my head "I like Snow, let me ride this one please. Did he say he wanted me there with him?" I asked in a soft voice.

Sasha withheld a laugh "You know... he can hear you. You have named the horse already, he is glad you like it. It's actually your gift. Your skin is as white as snow and soft. This horse suits you well, he says the beautiful horse deserves a beautiful Queen."

I blushed and couldn't help but smile a little. My skin was undeniably pale and snow white because the sun had never kissed it. It had never seen daylight, so yes I was quite pale but I didn't think anyone would like that. It was unbelievable that he had said something so nice to me although not directly.

"he really said that?" I asked glancing at him for a second, he was still watching me. This time he smirked at me, I think my face was tomato red by now.

Sasha giggled "and since you like Snow so much I will ride her with you. Next time I will teach you how to ride a horse. Maybe you can even learn as we go too"

I nodded my head a little excited. She helped me up before getting on herself. It was so scary being above the ground, my heart was pounding hard. "wow, maybe I should walk"

"calm down, Snow can sense your panic, that will unsettle her as well." Sasha said patting Snow on the back.

"okay, okay." I said touching the horse. She was beautiful "sorry Snow"

Alaric came closer, he touched snows head softly before looking at me "you will be fine" he said touching my braid for a second before leading the way.

I blinked before smiling. Why was I smiling! I should not be liking this, I should not be liking this! My thoughts were disturbed when the horse started moving.

"he adores you" Sasha commented and I literally felt like squealing. I couldn't believe it, a man as hot as Alaric adored me... pale basic me. It's like falling for a ghost.

It took a very long time for us to reach Heddahlia. Now I realized the horses were a good idea because I wouldnt have made it this far on foot. The territory was big and beautiful. The people here really prioritized flowers. I glanced at the men holding the dragons cage. I hated that they covered it with a big cloth. The creatures were probably miserable in the dark.

There were flowers everywhere, it was lovely. I liked it, two men showed up. They greeted Alaric, they didn't have any ink on their bodies. The only ink they had was on their faces. "Dahlians, don't be fooled by their kindness. They are not harmless"

"oh" they seemed nice to me so far, I mean they liked flowers right.

We were led to an open area, there were more flowers and trees. It was nice, there was a large tent. Sasha, Alaric, a few leaders and I entered. My dragons were put right beside me in their cage.

The Dahlian leaders entered the tent after a few seconds. They were very cheerful, it made me wonder if Sasha was a little bit too harsh when it came to them.

"welcome! My King! Heddahlia is pleased to have you here with us today" A shorter man said, if he was a werewolf he was the shortest kind I had seen so far. I thought they were all tall, handsome, beautiful creatures. "Azrari...it is true. We did not believe the news when we heard it. Oh forgive us," he said bowing down. I was speechless. I just nodded once and he stood up.

I didn't miss the awkward look the rest of the men gave to the dragons. Some of them were shocked while the others just gave me a corner eye before addressing the King. I didn't know if I should be worried but Alaric was here and he has protected me so far.

"You are happy to have your King here, yet you have named another man as your King. Word travels fast, did you think you could commit treason without your true King finding out?" Sasha spoke, there was silence "Radhar, speak now. What have you done!"

The short man fell on his knees in front of the King "forgive us please! My king... We were foolish. You have not graced us with your presence for years now. We assumed you had abandoned us!"

"you are an omega, a little wolf yet we did not disgrace you instead we made you a leader. You were to report back to your king. You were to keep Heddahlia beautiful and glorious. A safe space for every wolf that desires peace. Instead you failed and made every omega here a slave when you were accepted as an equal!," Sasha spoke again in a strong voice. She really sounded scary and disappointed. "You will return to the lower ranks. You will nolonger report directly to the king. You are fortunate your head is still on your neck for disgracing our King. Take him away, he will spend the rest of his days alone as a rogue"

Two of the Kings warriors dragged Radhar away. Another man was brought forward. He looked nice, Alaric stood up "King, they made you a King and you accepted because..." he said watching the man.

Looking at the two men. Alaric looked taller, larger and more unpredictable. He was scarier, it's like there was always something going on in his head. The fake King shook his head.

"because I deserve to be the King!I have been there for the people! You are nothing..." before he could finish his statement Alaric had the mans heart in his hand.

"you are nothing" Alaric said dropping the heart on the ground. The mans body fell right beside his heart.

I watched in horror, the difference this time was that I wasn't surprised or shocked. I expected an ending like this. They were monsters after all, they played god with people's lives. The rest of the day was spent with Alaric addressing the leaders of Heddahlia that still lived. They were afraid of Alaric, it was easy to tell. He spoke ane they listened in silence.

I ate a little bit during supper and asked Sasha to take me to bed. I was exhausted and they were still very busy doing King duties. I would explore more of Heddahlia tomorrow with a fresh mind, right now all I could see in my head was that man's heart on the ground surrounded by blood.

Sasha and a lady from Heddahlia took me to a cabin. It was warm and the dragons were already placed beside my bed. They were very energetic tonight as they played around in their cage.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay for a bit?" Sasha asked and I smiled at her.

"it's okay I'm only going to pass out in a few seconds anyways. I know you are very busy, please don't let me disturb you. I will see you tomorrow then you can show me around properly" I grinned excited just by the thought of seeing more of this place.

She nodded with a smile "ofcourse, have only sweet dreams Azrari" she said before leaving. I did not correct her this time, it's obvious she was going to call me Azrari again.

I laid on down and decided to fall asleep while watching my dragons. It was weird to even call them mine but it was on stone now. They were mine, somehow and I could feel it. The two dark ones looked like twins but one was smaller. I decided to call him "Orgon". The bigger one seemed like the oldest, it kept biting Orgons wing so called him "Droggo". Sasha said the dark grey scaled dragon with tiny red scales on its wing was a female. I called her "Oreegon" and my little whitish greyish dragon with the unique color. I felt that he looked rare, peculiar but his name was going to be simple "Winter". I smiled as I closed my eyes.

It felt like a dream but why was I smelling smoke, real smoke if the fire was just in my dreams. My heart raced as alarm bells went off in my brain. Fire... my eyes snapped open and there was literally fire everywhere. I could hear people's voices, Sasha was screaming, crying and people were talking but they weren't close. My dragons screeched and I watched them in the fire. They were okay but we could sense the danger, it was close. Someone had tried to get rid of us and they were here.

I wanted to scream, I could feel my tears dry immediately as they tried to trickle down my cheeks. How wasn't I burning, I could feel the fire but it wasnt hot. How was I here, my body was naked and covered in ash. Was I alive... Was this still a dream. Maybe If I got out of the fire and tried to reach out to Sasha, this could make sense. A lot of things were going on inside my head. I decided if I was going to stay sane I had to get out of the fire. Fire had to burn... Fire should burn.

I picked up my dragons, surprisingly Droggo could fly now. He sat on my shoulder close to my neck and I held Oreegon,Oregon and Winter. I tried to imagine that I wasn't in the fire as I walked forward shaking. I breathed out as I felt the breeze brush against my skin as I stepped out of the fire. I was furious,
