The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 939

Chapter 939
“Stick to the plan.” Isaac leaned back into the leather armchair. “What’s Noel’s take on this?”
“He’s resigned. Heading back to Grandeur Capital tomorrow.”
“Let him have a crack at those projects we lined up.” Isaac had this hunch; they wouldn’t be returning to Imperial City anytime
soon.
“Understood.”
The buzz about Noel joining Grandeur Capital stirred Manuel from his complacency, insisting on a meeting with Isaac.
Unfortunately, Isaac was nowhere near Imperial City.
Undeterred, Manuel, shamelessly flanked by a gaggle of reporters, barged into Noel’s office, airing a laundry list of Isaac’s
supposed misdeeds.
Noel wasn’t one to be pushed around. He called the cops without a moment’s hesitation.
The reporters scattered like roaches, leaving Manuel red-faced and on the verge of a fainting spell.
“Got an issue with my brother?”
Manuel, face like thunder, retorted, “Too busy at Grandeur Capital, huh? Then let Marcel lend you a hand.”
Marcel?
Noel chuckled. “In your dreams. Grandeur Capital belongs to the Salter family, and you’re not part of the picture!”
Manuel was livid. “Noel, I’m your father...”
“Cut the act. With a dad like you, I must’ve been some sinner in a past life.”
“Noel, I may have wronged your brother, but have I ever wronged you?” Manuel tried to soften his tone. “I’ve always wanted to
make amends. You just wouldn’t give me the chance, believing all those lies about me.”
Noel was silent.

“Now that you’re with Grandeur Capital, focus on your career, network. I know someone’s daughter, around your age. She’s
leagues beyond Brittany. Without your brother, what’s Brittany but a woman of no consequence?”
Manuel felt it was his paternal duty to strategize for Noel, unaware that his son couldn’t care less.
“If you’re so impressed with her, you marry her, Noel retorted with an eye roll. “I’m not interested in marriage right now, nor am I
competing with my brother. And another thing, don’t you dare look down on Brittany. She is now the daughter of the Lynette
family of Craneville!”
With that, Noel had security toss Manuel out on his ear.
Manuel was still reeling, Noel’s words echoing in his head.
Brittany, a Lynette of Craneville? Impossible.
Manuel scrambled to dig up info on Craneville, and, lo and behold, Brittany was indeed Yuri’s daughter!
Realizing the gravity of this, he bought a plane ticket under the cover of night, making a beeline for Craneville.
Brittany aiming to climb the Lynette family tree? In his dreams!
Noel remained blissfully unaware of the storm he’d stirred in Manuel with just a few words.
The location was set, the renovations underway.
Isaac wasn’t short on cash; he spared no expense for top-notch equipment.
In just three days, the place was taking shape.
Grandeur Capital’s reputation was a beacon for job seekers.
Isaac summoned a cadre of loyalists, planning to have them settle in Craneville. Among them were key players from Grandeur
Capital’s branches. The prospect of a new market was a gold mine to some, especially considering how tempting Isaac’s offer
was.
Yuri, hearing the news, started seeing Isaac in a new light. His decisiveness was indeed formidable.
Leila, thinking Isaac was digging in at Craneville, was fuming and lost her appetite for the night.

Yuri, relishing the peace, enjoyed a meal and retreated to the apartment he once shared with Juliana, who actually was Julie,
savoring a tranquil weekend.
Come Monday, Yuri headed to the office.
Stepping out of his car, he was approached by a man, desperation in his eyes. “Mr. Lynette, I’m Manuel Salter, Isaac’s father.
There’s an urgent matter I need to discuss with you!”
