She felt like she's heard that voice before!
When William, who was unconscious, suddenly groaned, Brittany panicked, not having the time to think about whose voice it was.
"Zakky, my friend's awake; I'm heading to the hospital right now; I'll catch up with you later."
"Alright."
Annoyance flashed in Isaac's eyes as he was clearly dissatisfied with Loraine's sudden interruption.
He hung up the call and turned to Loraine, his gaze icy.
Loraine was taken aback, opening her mouth as if to say something but unable to find the words.
"Ms. Field, this should be the first and last time."
Isaac put away his phone and said, "Don't do this again."
After saying this, Isaac left.
Upon hearing these words, Loraine's mind went blank. She stepped back, her face pale.
Having witnessed the whole process, Wesley felt that Loraine was different from before.
"Loraine, Zac's married now; it's time for you to let go."
Loraine bit her lip and said, "But I knew him first."
"But don't forget, you were the one who broke things off first."
Wesley didn't expect to be this blunt; after all, they have grown up together, and it was Loraine who first gave up on their relationship.
Isaac was married. Regardless of whether the marriage was what he wanted, Loraine's actions were self-pitying!
With that, Wesley left.
Loraine stood alone, feeling utterly heartbroken!
William was rushed to the hospital, and Brittany was covered in blood and shaking all over.
Hannah handed her a warm cup of water, comforting her, "Don't worry, it'll be fine."
Sydney rushed over, her eyes filled with anxiety. Seeing Brittany, she wanted to slap her across the face.
"Brittany, this is all your fault! You seduced my cousin, and now you've done this to William!"
At this moment, Hannah grabbed her wrist, forcefully pushed Sydney away, and then kicked her in the leg, saying, "Sydney, shut up! If it wasn't for your trap, William wouldn't be hurt! You dare say that the person who smashed the bottle wasn't arranged by you?"
Sydney was left speechless, like someone was choking her.

Brittany sat on the bench, her eyes red. It was all her fault; if she hadn't come to the Field family, William wouldn't have gotten hurt!
She held the cup of water, her knuckles turning white.

After more than an hour, William was brought out unscathed.
Sydney had left at some point, leaving only Hannah and Brittany.
After completing the hospitalization procedures, Brittany stayed by the bed. Only when William woke up did she breathe a sigh of relief. "William, you're finally awake."
Seeing her red eyes from crying, William felt heartache. "Why are you crying?"
"William, I'm sorry; it's all because of me." Brittany's eyes started to tear up as soon as she began speaking.
"Don't cry. You're younger than me; it's only right that I protect you."
William joked, "No matter who gets bullied, I'll step in."
Brittany wiped away her tears and asked about William's condition, and only when she confirmed that he was not feeling unwell did she relax a bit. "Hannah, take Bri home to rest."
William noticed Brittany's poor condition and said, "I'll have someone from my family come to take care of me; you should rest."
Brittany wanted to stay, because she knew that William got hurt because of her.
"Bri, you should go home and rest; it's good that William is awake now," Hannah comforted Brittany. "I'm sure William would love some soup made by you. Tomorrow morning, you can bring some over; it's better than staying here now."
Brittany hesitated, knowing she couldn't stay out all night.
"Well, William, you get some rest; see you tomorrow."
As William watched them leave, members of the Dillion family rushed over after hearing the news. When William's mother found out that her son was injured while saving a girl, she was heartbroken. "My silly boy, why are you so impulsive?"
