The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac)

Chapter 775

It's the shares in Grandeur Capital!

"I was in the dark before, and that caused you to lose all of Grandeur Capital." Brittany didn't mince her words. "These are the only shares I have, but it should be enough to give you some control."

Isaac closed the file with a snap. "I can't accept these."

"Why not?"

"At the end of the day, it was my debt to you five years ago." Isaac put down the file, took Brittany's hand, and with a deep gaze, he expressed, "I'm already more than content that you have forgiven me and granted me a chance to embark on a fresh beginning." Issac continued, "I haven't had a moment's peace in the last five years. If giving up Grandeur Capital means getting your forgiveness, it's a win for me."

Brittany's lips thinned as she tried to persuade him.

Having such a considerable number of shares would be a significant boost for Isaac.

"You hold on to these." Isaac embraced her, as though afraid she'd run away. "As long as you can forgive me, I'll give you anything you want."

Brittany was moved. After a long pause, she said, "Spare some time to visit my grandma with me."

Isaac's expression faltered, but he agreed instantly. "Alright."

Brittany had to give up as Isaac refused to take the files even till the end.

Isaac's company made rapid progress. In just one month, they won a project worth billions, drawing attention citywide.

At the end of the month, Brittany and Isaac took a trip to the suburbs.

Isaac, over the years, had been unable to face Donna.

His visits to the cemetery were few and far between.

On this occasion, the family of three visited, with Daniel holding a large bouquet of chrysanthemums, his eyes shadowed with sorrow.

Upon reaching the graveyard, Daniel lowered the flowers and bowed three times.

"Great-grandma, don't worry, I'll take care of mom."

Daniel's promise was heartfelt, causing Brittany's heart to ache. She patted his head. "Be a good boy, go play with the caretaker. Don't wander off." "Okay."

After Daniel left, Isaac stared at the picture on the gravestone. Memories of Donna flashed through his mind. After a while, his legs gave out. Brittany heard his sobs and turned her head away, her eyes welling up with tears.

Isaac said something, but Brittany didn't catch it. She felt a little dazed.

Leaving the cemetery, the three of them stayed the night in Donna's house.

Before going to bed, Brittany received a call from Kari. "Brittany, are you not in Imperial City?"

"I'm in the suburbs. What's up?"

"The Jarvis family sent someone over, and they want to see me."

Kari was surprised that the Jarvis family had made a move. Brittany remembered what Isaac had said before. "Have you discussed it with Nathan?" "Yes."

Nathan wouldn't bow to the Jarvis family. It was because of this that Mila had personally come to Imperial City, insisting on meeting her.

"In that case, go have dinner. Let me know if there's any problem. Also, try to limit your interaction with her. If you want a future with Nathan, try to avoid conflicts."

Regardless of how Nathan and Mila felt about each other, if a conflict arose now, it would certainly affect their future.

"I understand."

After hanging up, Brittany changed her schedule, planning to return to Imperial City the next morning.

...

Imperial City.

After hanging up the call, Nathan came out of the kitchen. "Dinner's ready."

"Coming."

Nathan was a great cook, and Kari loved his dishes.

They sat down.

Nathan served Kari a bowl of rice, sensing her worries. "I haven't been in touch with my mom for many years. If anything unpleasant happens at the meeting tomorrow, don't worry about saving her face."
