Mother wasn’t lying when she said preparations had to be made. She made sure every single detail was perfect. My dress is made by our royal dress maker. She used the finest material we have here in the land of faes .
The dress is beautiful...
Radiant....
My dress is a vibrant bluish purple off the shoulder corset ball gown dress. Small diamonds or crystals scatter perfectly from top to bottom. The dress alone will have all eyes on me.
A pair of bluish purple glass heels were also made to go with dress. Like the dress, the glass heels have diamonds or crystals on them too. The heel is not high but not low either. Too some, the glass heels look uncomfortable to wear. However, that is not the case. They are very comfortable to wear.
Most women also have a small handbag to carry with them. I won't have to carry one. Thanks to our seamstress, Vivian, she made deep pockets in my dress.
Pockets! My absolute favorite part of the dress. If I wasn't smiling before, I am now.
To complete my ensemble, our royal jeweler made my tiara, necklace, and earrings. They are made with diamonds and amethysts. The metal is white gold which helps the amethysts to really stand out. Each piece of jewelry is delicate, beautiful, and intricate.
I think the reason why my mother is going all out is because I am the only fairy in a long time to attend to the ball. The last time fae adventure out of our land to attend the ball, they did not find their true love at all.
Not many fairies adventure outside of the land of the faes. Fairies tend to stay with their own kind.
Being in the land of the faes is safe, especially for the royal family.
Not many creatures know that we are the last of our kind and they especially don’t know about the prophecy that could change the world that we know. The prophecy was given to the royal family by our creator Zagorn, protector of all. Apparently, he is more powerful then his other two siblings which would make fairies one of the most powerful creatures of this world. However, there are several creatures who think that we are weak.
Different creatures don't want to mate with another creature who is considered weak. They don't want a weakling for an offspring either.
Those exact same creatures will be surprised when they figure out what fairies can exactly do. Until then, we let them think whatever they want to think about our kind.
Before night falls, I quickly went to the kitchen to grab something to eat. Our royal chef usually cooks our meals but today was her day off.
The days that our chef is not working, my family and I cook meals together. This allows my family and I to bond and gives our staff a much needed break.
My mother and father try to be fair to all fae. My parents rule with passion, fairness, and kindness.
I hope my brother can be great king when the time comes. I imagine him to rule just like our parents.
Tonight, we didn't make a meal together like we usually do. Mom has been busy with preparations and my father has been busy with paperwork.
I quickly made myself a sandwich which I used only turkey and cheese. I also grabbed some chips and a glass of water. I went to go sit down at our dining room table. I have no plans of bringing food in my room.
A couple of minutes passed by before I realized that I barely touched anything on my plate. Unable to finish my food due to me being nervous, I then went back to my room.
Mother already has my dress and shoes ready for tomorrow. She also put the gift that I am suppose to present to the queen on my desk.
The gift is so beautiful.
A necklace with beautiful diamond and flowers on it. The flowers are made from rose quartz with a pearl in the middle. You can feel the energy of love and beauty radiating from the necklace itself.
I just hope the queen loves the gift. The gift is suppose to show that we are thankful for her invitation on inviting me and her hospitality.
As I laid down to go to sleep, thoughts about tomorrow go through my mind. I hope that everything is perfect and I hope that I will meet my true love.
As darkness starts to consume me, I couldn’t help but smile.
Tomorrow will be the greatest day of my life. At least I hope it will be. I then went into a peaceful sleep dreaming about the ball and my true love.
I can feel the sun beaming through the windows. I just love mornings. Everything always seems alive and the beauty of it all seems to take my breath away even for a second.
I quickly got up and and went to my bathroom. I showered and got dressed. I then went downstairs to grab a bite to eat.
Today is the day of the ball... It's happening... I am really going outside of our land.
I started to smile. Hopefully I didn't look like crazy person but I seriously don't care what I look like. I am to excited about tonight.
The majority of the day went by quick which I am thankful it did. The next thing I know, I was getting my hair and makeup ready. My stylist started with my hair and then did my makeup. The end results left me speechless.
“Thank you Zuri! I look amazing! You did a great job,” I said to my personal hair stylist as I looked at myself in the mirror.
“Your welcome princess,” she said as she curtsied and exits the room. A small smile escapes her mouth.
I have a feeling that everyone will be looking at me tonight.
After I was completely ready, mother steps inside my room. She looks at me with a small tear down her face.
“You look so beautiful. Just stunning. Are you ready dear?” my mother said before I answered her question. “I am ready. Thank you. Are you going to be okay?”
She had more tears coming down her face. “I will be fine. Bring my future son-in-law home after the ball. I want to meet him,” my mother said as she winked at me.
I quickly blushed at the thought. Husband. My true love. Another thought crossed my mind: mate.
