The Adam Code Back to Eden

Chapter Preface

The Adam Code was first written back in the year 1987. I wrote a short Sci-Fi novella in my teen years. My mother always kept my papers, and 25 years later I’ve finally finished the work to some satisfaction. The work is really a tribute to all those great Sci-fi writers before me. The Adam Code was originally titled Jack Marlow Corporation Cop. Jack Marlow was the original name I gave my character back in 87’.

The futuristic verbiage used in this book is what the author calls ‘Ambionic English’ (futuristic English). The reader will notice a parenthesis around the written translations. I decided not to include a language terms in this series. This Ambionic English is supposed to represent a new form of English based on our present English being spoken today. I only hinted at Tresnian and Ambionic language. But, the novel is written in our modern day English to prevent any confusion. The Tresnian (elitist) language was crafted by using words that looked the part and possessed a particular phonetic pronunciation. I’m not a linguist, so I make no claims on the phrases utilized by the characters in the story.

The drug NTT use is fictional, and it’s my sincere hope this book doesn’t start some retinal implant drug-induced craze. That obviously was not my intention. I wanted to show a technology and give a warning, with all the advances in virtual reality used by millions. It’s my utmost concern that future generations will use virtual technology combined with drugs to heighten their experience and thus become even more dependent on technology and substance abuse. So, Its been said, and you’ve been warned.

Siri and Pasn`e are character names I obviously borrowed the name Siri from Apple’s SIRI. The idea was that unusual names through time always are adopted by society and incorporated as the norm. Her name was no exception. Pasn`e name is of my own conception, and anyone is encouraged to name their child after this character.

The author used both present day knowledge of either an event based on science or pure conjecture for the world cataclysms that take place in the book.
