cure, Scarlett." She uttered and I arched my brows. This was exactly what I wanted, to get to her nerves just enough for her to tell me this.

"How old do you think I am, Scarlett? I know so much that you don’t even know."

"Why should I believe you?"

"Because the cure is right in your midst and yet you’re too blinded to even see it." She uttered and I furrowed my brows at her words, staring confusedly at her, "But first, before I talk, we have to strike a deal."

"If it’s letting you out of here, then dream on. You’re going to rot in here until the execution." I said and turned to leave, trying my best to hide my desperation, but once again, she called me back,

"Then would you grant me something else?"

I darted my gaze in her direction again, "What do you want?"

"My execution, find a way to change the Alpha King’s mind about executing me and I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the cure."

I remained silent, thinking about what she had just said. Letting her live might be the greatest mistake of my life, but at the same time, I was far stronger than her even though she had more experience than me in spells.

"Karla! Karla, where are you?" He yelled my name approaching the forest, but I hid back as I didn’t want him to know where I was right now. I just wanted to be alone so that I could think. If only I had told him that it was all a trap set for him by Jason, then all of this wouldn’t have happened.
