The 5-time Rejected Luna Queen

Chapter 89-1

Chapter 89

SCARLETT:

"Here, keep guard until I’m done," I whispered as I threw a small bag of gold to the guard standing at the gate leading to the dungeons,

"Make sure no one comes in."

Once he nodded his head, I put on the cape of my long cloak and turned backward to check the surroundings one more time before walking in. As I got to the dungeons, I found the cell I was looking for and halted right in front of it,

Since it was dark, I turned on the torch in my left hand and pointed it into the cell, staring at Luna Aurora as she huddled herself in the cell. She had grown so thin and was looking so tattered over the last few weeks,

"What are you doing here? What do you want from me, Scarlett?" She questioned, "I’m here for the cure," I answered sharply, but instead, she laughed out loud without cocking her head toward my direction.

"And why would I help you with anything? You betrayed me, and you ruined my life." She uttered and laughed again, but I wasn’t here for all her stupid talks. Dexter’s life was in serious danger, and I needed the cure for the vampire blood as soon as possible. I had to save him first,

"Just tell me how I can find the damn cure, you old witch." I half yelled again. Thankfully, the dungeons were soundproof so no one could hear me from outside.

I curled my fingers on the iron rods of the cells, staring angrily at her. Right now, I wish I could just go in there and gauge her eyes out of their socket.

"How long do you think you’re going to keep hiding who you are, Scarlett? Do they know? Do they know that you’re a witch, just like me? Does the pack even know that they had raised a witch from birth who even killed her father?"

Anger built inside of me as I stared at her, but I knew she was only trying to get on my nerves. I couldn’t let myself allow her to see me angry or in rage so instead I let out a smile,

"It’s a secret you’re never going to have the opportunity to tell the world, Aurora. And yes, I ruined you. I made everyone know your true identity and even exposed everything you did to the real Luna in the past. You deserved whatever I threw at you for looking down on me. You should never have tested my patients in the beginning." I uttered and seeing her curl her fingers on the floor made the smile on my face grow wider,

"Who am I kidding, to think you might even know a thing about the cure."

I scoffed aloud, and turned to leave, but heard her voice,

"I know everything you need to know about the
