Take Me To The Cabin: Chapter 20

were walking to the cafe in town yesterday she let it slip that today is Phoenix’s birthday. But he doesn’t like to celebrate it and knowing what I do about his parents, I can understand why. Yet I wasn’t going to let the day pass without some form of celebration, which is why I came back with the bag he asked about.

Today I plan to do a little something for him and try to make some good memories. My idea is to spoil him rotten with food and orgasms.

I’m awake before him and watching him sleep. It’s hard to tear myself out of bed, but I do it anyway, grabbing the cupcake I bought and placing the candle in it. I light it and gingerly walk back to the bedroom.

Climbing up on the bed, I carefully move to him on my knees. Thankfully, that motion wakes him up, but when he opens his eyes and sees the candle, his whole face falls.

I refuse to let the day be about sad memories because today we’re going to make some good ones. ‘I understand why you don’t want to celebrate your birthday, and I get what this date means, but I refuse to let you continue to mourn on your birthday. So I’m going to start filling it with good memories. And that starts now. Happy birthday! Close your eyes and make a wish.’

For a minute he doesn’t move, just stares at the cupcake like his mind is elsewhere.

I move closer to him and the fog clears. He sits up, saying nothing as he looks between me and the cupcake. It’s like there’s something that he wants to say, but he’s debating whether he should. I wait, knowing there’s a lot going on in his head he needs to work out today. It won’t be an overnight process to turn today around, but this is a start, and I have to be patient with him.

Finally, he shakes his head like he’s shaking away the bad thoughts. He forces a smile, closes his eyes, and blows out the candle.

I sit next to him on the bed and smile. I’m going to enjoy the next part even more than he is.

‘Do I get to eat the cupcake?’ he asks in a playful tone.

‘Oh, yes. But the catch is you have to eat it off of me.’ I dip my finger in the frosting and run it between my breasts, then pull the shirt up to hide it.

He growls and a moment later he takes the cupcake from me. He sets it on the bed, and in the blink of an eye, my shirt is off, leaving me naked. Wanting to see what he does, I lay down, and he doesn’t delay.

After licking up the frosting, he sucks on each of my nipples, causing an electric zing right to my pussy. Dipping his finger in the icing, he begins drawing his way down to my clit. He takes his time licking up every bit of frosting.

He drives me crazy, focusing on some places and ignoring others. I know he’s doing it on purpose because of the wicked smile he gives me.

Taking his time, he eats every crumb of the cupcake off of me before he fucks me. I’m so damn turned on, and so is he, that while it doesn’t last long, it’s explosive. Then we shower together and spend the day making love all over the cabin.

Phoenix’s birthday was several days ago, and we’ve been taking it easy. While he works in the workshop, I work in the cabin, or sometimes out in the shop with him. What I really enjoy is helping him do the winter prep.

Yesterday, we picked a bunch of wild berries to make homemade jam and canned the rest. I looked up some pie recipes and made one for dessert that ended up being eaten in much the same way as his birthday cupcake.

Today we’re going back into town to get some things from my cabin because I forgot the SD cards that have the photos I took before I moved here. They’re still packed away in my closet. Plus, Phoenix asked me to bring some more clothes and even hinted about simply moving in all my stuff, but I brushed it off.

‘Are you sure spending all this time with me isn’t going to hurt your winter prepping?’ I ask him, worried that I’m going to set him too far behind this year.

‘I’ll be fine. Plus, I always stock up at the store. If that means I have to buy more than I usually do, then so be it. I think it’s worth the trade-off.’

I know that isn’t the most romantic line in the world, but it absolutely melts my heart. You’d have to know Phoenix and how these mountain men live to understand. They don’t go to town to buy things from the store unless they absolutely have to. They prefer to live off the land. So the fact that Phoenix is willing to make that sacrifice and depend a bit more on the store so that he can spend more time with me is huge.

‘Does the mountain become impossible to navigate in the winter?’ I ask because I’ve been thinking about what we’ll do when the extreme weather arrives.

Will we just not see each other until spring? While I don’t like that idea, I don’t know if I’m ready to move in with him for several months straight.

But by now I should know that he picks up on what I’m thinking. Sometimes I think he can read my thoughts.

Leaning over, he takes my hand in his and brings it to his mouth, kissing my knuckles. ‘It does, and we have some time to figure it out. But so you know where I stand regarding winter, I plan on prepping enough for both of us because I want you up there with me. I don’t think I’ll be able to go several months without seeing you or being able to touch you.’

When he runs his hands down my side and leans in to kiss my neck, it drives me crazy enough to make his point that I won’t be able to go that long without him, either.

Just like that, he puts the ball in my court. He wants me there with him in his mountain cabin, and he’s going to plan on having me there. I just have to make the jump and actually be there.

It’s not something I have to decide right this moment as we still have a few months to go. A lot can happen in a few months, but if things keep going the way they have been, I’ll definitely consider spending the winter with him on the mountain.

Walking into my house, everything is where I left it. As much as I used to look forward to coming back to my own place and snuggling up to read or watch TV, I don’t anymore. What I look forward to is being with Phoenix in his cabin, with his arms around me. That feels like home now, so I decide to pack more than I need in my bag like he keeps asking me.

It takes me longer than I thought to find the older memory cards of the photos I took before I moved up here. When I finally start to pack my bag, Phoenix joins me in my room.

‘Did you find what you needed?’

‘I did. I was thinking of maybe packing a few extra clothes?’

He gives me one of those rare blinding smiles as he takes a few steps toward me and rests his hands on my hips. ‘Pack all your clothes, I have plenty of room.’

‘Slowly, Phoenix. Let’s just take it slowly.’ I rest my hand on his chest and his heart beating under my hand is calming.

‘As slow as you want, baby.’ He leans in and places a soft kiss on my lips. I want to take it further, but the knock on the door stops me.

I tense because the last time someone was at my door with Phoenix here, it was Chad. I’m beginning to hate people stopping by. Maybe I’m more like Phoenix than I realize. His no trespassing idea is looking better and better.

I sigh and step out of his arms to go see who is at the door. Immediately, I regret opening it.

‘Mom! Dad! What the hell are you doing here?’
