Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 695 Remarry

Joseph sighed in an almost inaudible way and uttered, "You just never believe me, don't you? Even though I tell you the truth, you would believe otherwise."

"You can't blame me! You've fooled me too many times before!" Daisy protested.

"I swear I won't lie to you anymore, Daisy. Please, let's marry again!" Joseph said earnestly and grabbed her hand. "The old Joseph is dead now. I've changed, and you're still the only one I love. Please believe me, Daisy."

Baffled, Daisy was petrified to her feet, not knowing whether to believe Joseph or not.

But then, she also witnessed how much Joseph had changed over the past weeks.

He would no longer surround himself with women and just stayed by her side every day after shooting. He never attended any social activities or frequented bars and nightclubs.

"Will you not lose your temper again?" Daisy asked, raising her eyebrows.

"No, I won't! I swear! If I lose my temper again, I will be hit by a car and..."

"Don't say that!" Surprised and slightly alarmed at what Joseph said, Daisy was quick enough to interrupt him.

"Alright, I won't say that as long as you agree with my proposal. What do you say, Daisy?" Joseph eyed Daisy with so much anticipation.

"If you promise you won't lose your temper again, then I'll accept your proposal." Daisy finally gave in; she didn't know if it was because she still loved Joseph or was just swayed by his persistence.

All she knew was that a part of her would die if Joseph would leave her side.

As for whether it was love or not, she didn't understand. In fact, she didn't want to figure it out. All that mattered at that moment was that Joseph was right beside her.

Everything else was insignificant. After all, figuring it out would just complicate things, so it was better to just enjoy his company.

"Okay, I promise!" As those words escaped his lips, Joseph reached out and pulled Daisy closer, attacking her lips with the most sensual kiss.

While they were making out, Charles rang for a call.

Heaving a deep sigh, Joseph impatiently uttered, "Damn it! Charles calls at the wrong time. I won't answer it."

"Answer the call! It might be something important," Daisy commanded, breaking away from his kiss.

Helpless, Joseph reluctantly let go of Daisy and answered the phone in a menacing tone. "What's up, Charles?" "How are you now, Joseph?"

'Tm fine."

"Why are you so angry? Is your body still in heat?" Charles asked half-jokingly.

"I was being intimate with Daisy when you called. What is it that you want?" An evident hint of disquietude could be extracted from Joseph's tone.

"Well, nothing serious. It's just about Fannie. I know she is hateful, but she is Nancy's half-sister. Nancy is ashamed of what she did..."

"I know what you want to say, but I won't reconcile with Fannie. I will let that woman rot in prison for the rest of her life. I almost betrayed Daisy because of her. Fannie can't pay for she has done. And I'm telling you, Charles, you can never convince me to set that devious woman free." With his brows tightly knitted, Joseph furiously spat those words over the line.

The moment he thought of Fannie, it felt as if his body would burst from extreme anger. As a playboy, Joseph didn't expect he would be fooled by a woman.

So how could he not be angry when he almost fell into Fannie's tricks? She made a fool out of him.

Now, all he wanted to do was peel off Fannie's skin and drink her blood.

And just hearing the irritation in Joseph's tone, Charles knew that there was nothing he could do.

"I think you should be the one to talk to him about this." Shrugging his shoulders, Charles gave the phone to Nancy.

Left with no choice, Nancy cleared her throat and took the phone to her right ear. "Joseph, it's me, Nancy."

For a while, Joseph remained silent and didn't say anything.

"Nancy?" Daisy asked softly after noticing that he didn't utter a word.

"Yes," Joseph replied shortly without looking at her.

"Joseph, I know that Fannie hurt you deeply," Nancy said after heaving a deep sigh.

"Nancy, don't be ridiculous. She hurt me? She overestimated herself and forced herself on me. Don't plead for her, Nancy. It's useless. I hate that woman to the core." Joseph spat those words with so much hatred.

"I hate her too!'1 said Nancy, gritting her teeth in utter resentment.

"Yes. So, there's no need for us to be bothered if she is in jail. Isn't that best for both of us?" Joseph sneered, sporting a devious grin.

"I know, but my father asked me for this favor. Come on, Joseph. You know he's old. If he gets sick because I couldn't grant his request, that will make me unfilial." Nancy had no choice. She really didn't want to ask Joseph for help, but she also didn't want to make Clark even more worried.

"Joseph, for the sake of Nancy, just let Fannie go. That woman doesn't deserve even a tiny bit of your attention, " Daisy cautiously whispered in Joseph's ear.

"If you agree to marry me, I'll let go of Fannie. That's it!" A trace of finality and determination was etched in his tone as Joseph proposed that.

"Okay! I'll marry you. Now, will you let her out of jail?" Although Daisy was shy, she still managed to stare right into his eyes.

Immediately, Joseph's face lightened up while his lips contorted into a grin. There was nothing he could ask aside from this.

"Alright, Nancy. I will release Fannie later!" Joseph almost jumped from his seat as if he hadn't just sworn he'd never let Fannie out of prison.

Meanwhile, Charles, who was stunned for a second, let out a sly smile. He tried his best to persuade Joseph, but the bastard just ignored him. How could he agree as soon as Nancy requested the same thing? A leopard indeed cannot conceal its spots!

"Joseph, thank Daisy for me. I will prepare a big gift for you when you get married!" Nancy was over the moon. If it wasn't for Daisy, she knew Joseph would never change his mind.

"No, just ask Charles to help me land a big role in a movie." There was no way Joseph would let this opportunity pass. Now that the couple was indebted to him, he figured it was the perfect time to take advantage of it.

"Well, I can't promise it. You'd better..." Nancy faltered while stealing a glance at Charles, who was eyeing her intently.

She just couldn't make a decision on behalf of Charles.

"No, Nancy. Let me tell you, you must know how to take advantage of being a woman. Use your charms! Men are weak for women's tenderness. Trust me. Whenever I quarreled with Charles before, I'd calm down the moment I'd hear your soft voice. So, you should be nicer to Charles. Like me, he is also a man who is a slave of his wife." After saying that, Joseph broke into laughter.

Although he was talking to Nancy, he purposely said that so Daisy could hear it.

Joseph had spent years fooling around with so many women. But now that he had finally found the one, he promised to be loyal to her.

He didn't expect that genuine happiness could come from such simple things.

From spending quality time together to cooking for each other, there was nothing he could ask for. Daisy was definitely worth his personal change.
