Chapter 725
Chapter 725
Aster was ticklish, especially around his waist. He couldn’t stand anyone touching him there.
As expected, he squirmed under her touch and tried to escape.
Larissa took the chance to pull the blanket off. She enveloped Aster in her embrace. Asler’s tear–streaked lace was exposed.
Larissa’s heart felt like it was being stabbed with a knife. Her chest ached, and she felt sullocated by the pain.
Tightening her arms around him, she lowered her head and kissed his forehead.
“Don’t cry.” Her voice trembled as scorching tears rolled down her cheeks as well.
Aster released his clenched teeth and buried his lace in Larissa’s chest. He was crying his heart out.
He had never cried Ike this before. His cries were heartrending and loud. It was as if he wanted to vent all the bitterness and
grievances he bore for years.
Holding him, Larissa’s tears flowed. Words of comfort were stuck in her throat. She could only utter the same words repeatedly.
“Aster,
don’t cry —”
Wendy had been listening to the sounds coming from Aster’s bedroom. As soon as she sensed something amiss, she
abandoned her
bowl of oatmeal and rushed in.
“What’s going on!”
However, the scene before her made her stop in her tracks. Wendy hesitated, wondering whether she should approach them or
not.
“Why are the both of you crying so much?”
Larissa keal palting Asler’s back, afraid that he might choke from crying too hard. She comforted him gently, paying no attention
to Wendy.
“Alright, no more crying!
After a while. Wendy gathered her courage and came closer. She grabbed a tissue and wiped away Larissa’s tears. Then, she
pointed to the breakfast on the tray and reminded them, “The breakfast will turn cold if you keep crying.”
Only then did Larissa lift Aster’s face up from her chest. Aster’s eyes were swollen from crying. He looked just as unsightly as
Larissa the
day before.
Wendy wiped away his tears and cradled his face in her hands. “Aster, don’t cry, okay? You’re breaking my heart!”
Usually, this line worked well to stop Aster from crying, but not today. He continued sobbing, tears dripping down his cheeks.
“What on earth happened? Old your superior’s son bully Aster?” Wendy lost her patience and rolled up her sleeves in anger.
“Damn it, Fl
go and beat up that brat right now!”
Larissa stopped her, “No, he didn’t.”
“Then, why is Aster crying so much?”
Larissa let go of Aster and took out her phone. ‘Do you miss Daddy? Do you want to video call him now?”
Thinking for a moment, he nodded slowly.
Larissa calculated the time difference in Caldor. It should be around 1 am.
Kevan was probably still working.
She sent him a WhatsApp message first. “Are you asleep? Would it be okay to call you?”
Almost immediately, a video call invitation from Kevan appeared. Larissa accepted the cal
The screen wend black for a second. Alter the screen lit up, Kevan’s lace appeared onscreen.
Behind Kevan, the background was brightly lit. There were rows of emply metal chairs and people with their luggage passed by
occasionally.
“Are you at the airport?” she asked in surprise.
