Submitting To My Ex-Wife by Veromca Luke (Sigmund Moolery )

Chapter 7

Chapter

The expression of those scions who had smugly ingratiated themselves to Sigmund earlier changed immediately.

As they met Sigmund’s penetrating and cold gaze, they understood that he was not joking.

In that instant, these people were terrified.

They realized that they had said inappropriate things.

No matter what, Becky was still Sigmund’s nominal wife.

He had the right to humiliate, but others had no right to meddle or interfere.

These people knew Sigmund’s ways of dealing with people, yet they still sneered at his wife.

“Mr. Moolery, I’m sorry. I’ll drink. I’ll drink now. I’ll drink a glass. Is that okay?”

Sigmund did not say anything.

Several scions interpreted his silence as permission to proceed. They quickly poured a glass and drank it without hesitation.

Sigmund directed his gaze at the lady, who trembled all over. She was caught in a dilemma.

“What about you?” Sigmund said. “Will you drink?” The smile on his lips seemed casual, but it sent a chilling shiver down one’s spine.

The lady tremblingly extended her hand toward the bottle of alcohol.

“Forget it,Henry said. He intervened, pulling the lady toward him. Then, he turned to Sigmund and said, “Out of consideration that we’re good friends, can this lady be mine?”

Sigmund’s eyes turned cold.

They looked at each other for more than ten seconds. Sigmund was the first to break the silence, picking up the bottle and pouring it into his mouth.

As everyone looked at him with shocked expressions, he drank the entire bottle of liquor in one gulp.

Finally, he wiped away the liquor stains on the corner of his lips and casually smashed the empty bottle onto the glass table.

With the sound of the bottle shattering, Sigmund did not even spare Henry a glance. He said, “Get

the hell out of here.”

His voice was hoarse, with a hint of fierceness.

“You’re drunk,” Henry said as he frowned.

At this moment, Sigmund’s face was ferocious, making others fearful even though he maintained his composure.

Even though Sigmund did not usually display his emotions so openly, Henry could sense that he was not in a good mood.

“Forget it,” Henry said. Some things were not explicitly stated, but Henry was well aware.

Henry stood up and dispersed the chaotic crowd around him. Then, he took out his phone and calmly dialed a familiar number.

“Hello. Who’s there?” A calm female voice could be heard coming from the other end of the line. Her voice had a hint of weariness.

Henry glanced at Sigmund, who was now quiet with his eyes closed, and said softly, “Sigmund is drunk. Can you come and pick him up? Same old place.”

Upon hearing the noisy sound from the other end of the line, Becky glanced at her design drawing. Then, she said calmly, “Okay.”

Upon hearing that Becky had agreed to come over to pick up Sigmund, Henry felt somewhat relieved.

Henry did not engage in further conversation. He hastily ended the conversation before hanging up the phone.

On the other side, Becky struggled to open her eyes. She quickly hired a designated driver. She filled in the address of the bar where Sigmund frequented.

After completing everything, she yawned and went back to sleep.

Amid drowsiness, Becky suddenly felt a warm sensation followed by a strong smell of alcohol.

Becky instinctively furrowed her brow. Opening her eyes, she immediately saw a magnified handsome face before her.

The penetrating pitch–black eyes caught her off guard.

Becky’s heart skipped a beat.

In the next moment, however, he turned sideways and slumped down. He leaned heavily against. her shoulders and fell into a deep sleep.

She turned her head and looked at his profile, which was so close to her.

Even with her eyes closed, she could trace the contours of his face with her fingertips.

Becky took a deep breath and nudged him, saying, “Wake up.”

He was pressing down on her with such heavy weight. His body was reeking of alcohol. She had always been sensitive to smells. Hence, this made her unable to sleep soundly.

“Don’t move,” he said, effortlessly gripping her outstretched wrist and then pulling her whole body into his embrace

As they got increasingly close and intimate, his breath evenly brushed against her neck.

Becky’s neck was filled with an itchy sensation, causing her to shudder all over. She struggled, attempting to free herself.

However, she could not break free from his embrace, no matter how hard she struggled.

He had his eyes tightly closed, but his strength did not diminish in the slightest.

“Sigmund Moolery!” Feeling angry, Becky called out his full name.

She attempted to wake him from his drunken state, but he never opened his eyes.

While in his drunkard stupor, he kept murmuring “Betty” in a whispering manner.

When Becky heard this name, her eyelashes trembled slightly. She lowered her

gaze.

He refused to let go, so Becky simply closed her eyes and resigned herself to the situation.

“It’s not the first time I’ve slept with a dog anyway, so it doesn’t matter if I sleep with a dog one. more time,” she thought.

He continued to embrace her throughout the night until morning. When Becky opened her eyes, she felt a bit sore and achy all over her body.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

As Becky looked at her side, it was empty as usual.

As soon as he woke up, he probably could not wait to leave immediately.

Becky glanced at the pillow and quilt that had been neatly arranged. She was no longer preoccupied with thoughts. She got up and tidied things up, preparing to leave the house.

Having had a hangover all night, Sigmund felt a sensation of headache on and off.

In the office, he had no time to listen to what people around him were saying. He simply tapped lightly on the desk. His expressionless face made people unable to guess his state of mind.

“What do you think, Sigmund?” Rocky asked. He had informed Sigmund about the list of people he recommended to hold certain positions in the company. However, half a day had passed, yet he still had not heard from Sigmund. Hence, he could not help but ask again.

Sigmund finally brought his wandering mind to the present. He glanced at the list casually and said, “Based on your judgment, what do you think..

Before he finished talking, he suddenly paused.

“What’s wrong?” Rocky asked.

Thinking he might have seen it wrong, Sigmund reached out to take the resume placed on the

table.

It was only when he saw that the name and photo on this resume matched exactly with Becky’s that he was absolutely certain it was indeed her.

“That talented designer you mentioned is her, huh?” Sigmund asked.

“That’s right,” Rocky said, admitting straightforwardly. However, as he watched Sigmund carefully examine the resume, it was evident that there was a noticeable change in Sigmund’s expression.

Rocky could also sense that Sigmund was in a bad mood, so he changed his wording and asked, “What do you think of her?”

In his view, Sigmund must be acquainted with Becky.

When he posed that question, he also intended to find out about Becky’s character.

“Not that great,” Sigmund said nonchalantly as he put down the resume.

Sigmund was usually known for being sharp–tongued, but his judgment had always been accurate.

Upon hearing Sigmund’s remarks, Rocky could not help but sigh. He did not expect that Sigmund would disapprove of Becky.

However, Becky was an exceptional talent. The positions for internal referral had already been. assigned. It was too late to change the decision now.

When Becky arrived at the location of her internship, she realized that it was a company. appeared to be huge and impressive from the outside.

that

As she walked in, it was not Rocky who received her but his assistant with the surname “Goodwin.”

Marsh was easygoing. Upon their first meeting, he enthusiastically introduced the company and the scope of work to her

Becky followed behind, meticulously noting down every detail he mentioned.

“I have also seen your previous works, and your sensory perception is truly remarkable,” Marsh said, praising lavishly. “To be honest, before meeting you in person, I could hardly believe you were still a college student.”

In addition to being creative, her works demonstrated a great mastery of design skills.

One could not sense any immaturity or inexperience in her, even though she had just entered this industry.

“You’re too kind,” Becky replied with a faint smile. “I still have a lot to learn.”

However, Marsh continued to express his admiration and praise.

However, at that moment, Becky looked straight ahead and did not notice someone walking past

her.

Suddenly, as if sensing something, she instinctively turned to look and saw a tall, slender figure in a

black suit.

It w It was just a back view, yet it made Ifer feel incredibly familiar.

Marsh introduced with a smile. He said, “This is the CEO of our company, Sigmund Moolery. Maybe you haven’t heard of him yet. He is a prominent figure in the industry. You’ll get to know more about him later.”

Sigmund Moolery..

The mention of that name instantly made her heart sink.

“How is this Sigmund’s company?” Becky thought to herself.
