Submitting To My Ex-Wife by Veromca Luke (Sigmund Moolery )

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

The WhatsApp group was filled with all kinds of vulgar and offensive remarks. The majority of the conversations in the group were people mocking that the wedding ended without any reason.

[The wedding has started. Why hasn’t the groom arrived yet?]

[The bride looks very awkward.] The grinning–face emoji was added at the end of this message.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

[Don’t wait anymore. The groom won’t come! Getcha popcorn ready and watch the show!]

After this message was sent to the group, a close–up photo of a man soundly asleep was attached. The background faintly revealed numerous bottles of alcohol scattered around everywhere.

No matter who looked at this scene, anyone could tell it was inside a bar.

Instantly, there was a flurry of messages in the WhatsApp group. A group of people was causing a

commotion.

Becky had no intention of reading the subsequent messages. She just stared blankly at the photo.

Her fingertips swiped forward again. She clearly saw a sender with Sigmund’s profile picture sent a message. [Secily Pub. Come here.]

On their wedding day, a casual message instantly turned their wedding into a joke.

Becky was at a loss for words.

It was not known how long Becky had been silent. The phone screen had already gone dark.

Becky slowly put down the phone.

“Are you okay, Becky?” Salena said. Seeing Becky remaining silent for a while, Salena’s eyes showed a hint of sympathy.

Initially, she did not want Becky to see these things and feel sad. However, she could not bear the thought of keeping Becky in the dark and allowing her to become the subject of ridicule.

“I’m fine,” Becky replied.

As Becky lifted her gaze, her eyes remained calm and serene, like a crystal–clear stream. One could readily discern her current calmness without having to speculate.

However, Salena was somewhat skeptical of her transformation. “Are you sure?” she asked.

Yes, I am,” Becky said as she smiled gently. Her smile seemed genuine, devoid of any pretense.

She had thoroughly experienced the state of being in low spirits during yesterday’s event.

In retrospect, she now felt it was not as unbearable as before.

Upon hearing Becky’s words, Salena felt somewhat relieved. She then dropped this topic and started talking about something else.

“How is your discussion with your teacher about the internship?” Salena said.

“I have made up my mind,” Becky said. “I’m going tomorrow.” She then took out the business card to show Salena.

When Salena saw the business card, she said, “Isn’t this Rocky, the renowned figure in the industry? I remember he highly admired you. You have decided to hide behind an alias, yet he has chosen you now. It seems like both of you are fated to meet each other.”

Becky was just a college student, yet she received the favor of a renowned designer in the industry. This was something that ordinary students could hardly even dare to imagine.

However, Becky was not an ordinary student.

As Salena thought about what had happened two years ago, she glanced at Becky’s expression. She then refrained from saying anything further.

Starting anew now was not a challenging task for Becky.

As they started discussing other matters, Salena gradually let go of her initial heartache.

“Why bother about men so much when you have your own career?” she thought to herself.

After their meal, Becky took a taxi back to the Moolery family’s residence.

Becky was exposed to some rain outside today. Upon returning to her bedroom, she first cleaned. herself up. Then, she changed into pajamas and lay down on the bed. After that, she took out her tablet from her bag and began working on her design sketches.

After sketching a draft, Becky got up and sat at the table. Then, she focused on outlining the artwork.

Two years ago, she created a new account on Instagram. Initially, it was to record her random thoughts and musings. However, it unexpectedly gained a lot of attention. She started receiving numerous private messages from people wanting to commission her to produce artwork.

However, Becky was busy with her studies. She only used her Instagram account to document her daily life. She did not invest too much effort into it. She set a limit of taking one commission per month to produce artwork.

Even so, there were still many commissions that were lined up. It was unclear when they would be completed.

Becky had completed nearly half of the design draft. She paused, rubbed her eyes, and glanced at the clock, only to realize that it was already one in the morning.

She suddenly remembered that she was pregnant. She put down her pen, went to bed, and lay

down.

She involuntarily looked at her Facebook feed. Unsurprisingly, it was filled with posts about yesterday’s wedding.

Her fingertips landed on the most recently posted photo.

She tapped to enlarge the picture. It was a place where people indulged in extravagant partying. It was filled with men and women of diverse backgrounds.

Amidst the crowd, she immediately saw the most striking figure. She saw the tall and slender Signgund.

Beside him was a glamorous girl with blonde hair and blue eye. She was blending in with the

crowd.

Becky lowered her gaze, turned off her phone screen, and closed her eyes.

At Secily Pub.

It was two in the morning. This was the point of time in which nightclubs were the liveliest.

Sigmund crossed his legs and twirled the cigarette between his fingers. A circle of hazy smoke blurred his appearance.

Amidst the swirling smoke, the contour of his profile appeared even more good–looking. The atmosphere softened his usual aggressive temperament. It made him exude a somewhat gloomy and melancholic aura.

“Sigmund, you’re in high spirits tonight!” Upon looking at Sigmund, the man beside him also. leaned over and lit a cigarette.

Sigmund cast a quick glance at him. He then stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray and ignored.

the man.

That man took the initiative to approach Sigmund and strike up a conversation. However, he was met with a cold response. Feeling somewhat awkward, he then turned to someone else nearby to

talk.

The people coming in and out of Secily Pub were either wealthy or influential. Many of them spent much money to get in, aiming to connect with the genuinely influential and powerful individuals in the upper echelons of society.

Sigmund’s friend, who was beside him, picked up a glass of wine and teasingly said, “Sigmund, isn’t today the joyful day following your wedding? Why couldn’t your gentle and beautiful wife keep you by her side at home

“Haha.

With slender fingers, he lifted a wine glass. The reddish liquid flowed smoothly into his mouth. The

color of the drink tainted his lips, making them appear slightly scarlet under the blurry ncon lights.

Taking advantage of the intoxicating effects of alcohol, he looked at the seductive lady who approached him. He smiled frivolously. However, his eyes remained cold.

“Want to sleep with me, huh?” he said.

Amidst the chaotic interplay of lights and shadows, he stared intently at the glamorous lady before him, causing her to blush.

She involuntarily nodded and said, “Yes, I do,”

The surrounding crowd immediately erupted into a commotion. Someone loudly exclaimed, “Sigmund has such great charm. That Becky Wood is nowhere near capable of keeping someone like Sigmund by her side.”

Suddenly, the crowd burst into laughter.

“Yesterday at the wedding, Becky’s jaws dropped to the floor when she saw the dog. It was so damn hilarious. You’ll regret it for the rest of your life if you don’t see it!”

Sigmund smirked and let out a soft chuckle. “Oh really?” he said.

He effortlessly picked up a liquor bottle and handed it over to the lady.

The lady immediately understood it was a gesture to pour the liquor and flirt. She held the bottle with both hands, ready to pour the liquor for him.

However, he extended his hand and stopped her. His narrow and upturned eyes suddenly turned cold. His tone also changed abruptly as he said, “When did I ask you to pour me some liquor?”

Holding the bottle in her hands, the woman looked at him with confusion, unsure of what to do or

say.

“Finish this bottle of alcohol in one gulp, and your wish will be fulfilled,” Sigmund said.

He lifted his thin lips, enunciating each word clearly. Amidst the noisy environment, the rest of the people around them could also hear every word clearly.

This bottle of high–proof whiskey could make a man pass out if he drank a large gulp, let alone a delicate woman in front of him. Drinking it all in one go would probably put her life in danger.

The beautiful lady’s face instantly turned pale.

On the side, Henry Austin, who was Sigmund’s friend, could not stand it anymore. He teased to defuse the situation, saying, “Come on, Sigmund, you’re too much. I can’t even finish this whiskey in one gulp. Don’t make things difficult for her.”

However, when Henry spoke these words, he was met with an indifferent gaze from Sigmund. Sigmund enunciated each word slowly as he said, “I said, let her drink.”

Pausing momentarily, he glanced at the people who had just shouted and made fun of Becky. earlier. He then casually pointed his slender fingers at each of them one by one and said, And you people as well.”
