Spoild by the Silver Fox Chapter 431
Chapter 431
“Why would the kid be so indifferent to this family if it weren’t for these reasons? It’s all your fault, you know!”
Upon hearing these words, Julia’s face turned pale, and she remained silent, not daring to say anything more. Jaxon had already begun hinting at their shared past, leaving Julia feeling completely lost and unsure of how to respond.
Ava sneered and continued speaking, addressing Jaxon, “Dad, you’re right… But let’s not dwell on this anymore. Don’t be upset, Dad. Stephanie is still young and not at the age to get married yet. If Sebastian genuinely likes her, let them date. If it doesn’t work out in the future, well, we’ll deal with it then. Besides, I think Stephanie is pretty great. Coming from a humble background has its advantages. Imagine if a high–maintenance woman were to move in… that wouldn’t be enjoyable, would it? Dad, you always want our family to live in harmony… Sebastian is the most difficult person to connect with in this family. If Stephanie could get along with everyone and wanted to stay here, wouldn’t Sebastian come home every day?”
Jaxon pondered over Ava’s words and found them to make sense. However, every time he thought about Stephanie’s disrespectful remarks and belittling of the Ingram family, as well as her humble background, he couldn’t bring himself to agree. With a shrug, he said nothing and headed upstairs.
Sebastian observed the situation and raised an eyebrow. “Thanks for standing up for me, Aunt Ava,” he expressed his gratitude
Ava laughed, “Sebastian, don’t say that. I really like Steph. She’s such a lovely girl.”
Stephanie, who was being praised, laughed and said, “Alright, my shoulders are riot sore anymore… You sit down and eat, Aunt Ava.”
“I won’t bother you guys anymore. Sebastian, Steph is not familiar with our house. After dinner, you can take her around. I have something else to do, so I won’t be able to entertain you.”
“Go ahead, Aunt Ava.”
“Remember to take all these things home with you, Steph.”
After saying this, Ava left.
As she passed by Julia, she gave her a smug look.
Julia was furious, but she knew better than to say anything more today.
After all, besides Jaxon, everything in the Ingram family was decided by Sebastian now…
Even though he was her son, he… he despised her.
Julia appeared quietly and left quietly, with no one paying any attention to her.
In Jaxon’s study upstairs, Jaxon was trying to calm down when he saw Julia standing at the door, knocking.
Jaxon frowned, “What is it?”
“Dad… I just wanted to talk to you about Sebastian. I’ve prepared his wedding gift and plan to give it to him, but I’m not content… After all, Stephanie, that little girl, neither you nor I think highly of her, right? She comes from a poor family, and she’s even involved in the entertainment industry… If this gets out, it would be such an embarrassment! We, the Ingrams, are the top family in B City! Where is our dignity now?”
Jaxon frowned, “What do you suggest we should do then? Now Sebastian is protecting that girl as if she were his own daughter! Whenever I suggest doing something to her, this young man says, ‘If you dare to hurt her, I’ll hurt someone I don’t like! And who does he not like in this family… Julia, you know who I’m talking about, don’t you?”
