“So, what do you plan to do later on?” Stephanie asked her 

“What else can I do? Even if I dont act, I wont starve. I’ll just be the lady at home” Said Maddie 

“But you got plastic surgery to be more confident in acting, right? And I think you look so natural after it Your face doesn’t look stiff at all” Said Stephanie. 

“Yeah, I spent a ton of money and used the best methods. I did get the surgery so I could be more confident in acting…but my parents are afraid I’ll get hated on There was an actress who 

got plastic surgery and was bullied so badly then she became depressed, and committed suicide by jumping off a building Said Maddie 

Gillian couldn’t help but say. “That’s just because she was too fragile! Maddie, being cheeky and with a strong mind, you shouldn’t be prone to depression, right?” 

“Ha, who are you calling cheeky?” Said Maddie 

“Seriously though, Maddie I would regret not having you guys by my side on our future acting journey. Why don’t we talk to your dad together?” 

Maddie shook her head, 1 already had my mom try to persuade him, but it didn’t work” 

“But isn’t your dad trying to get you to cozy up to Steph, the gold mine? Let Steph try talking to him. If that’s not enough, have Steph’s boyfriend do it himself?” Said Gillian 

Stephanie took a sip of soup and almost spit it out. 

“Ha… let’s not bother my boyfriend over such a small matter shall we go and convince Maddie’s dad with our sincerity?” Said Stephanie. 

Yeah, it’d be a waste to have your Silver Fox handle such a small thing “Said Gillian, 

“It’s okay, you guys! I’ll slowly convince my dad…if not now, then someday. Anyway, with you guys around, if nothing else, I could just become your manager!” Said Maddie. 

Gillian frowned immediately. “No way! You’re even prettier than me after the surgery. I don’t want a better–looking manager wholl steal all the attention when paparazzi take photos of me!” “Hahaha…I like that! So, am I really that pretty now?” Said Maddie 

“Don’t you look in the mirror every day? Why are you asking us?” 

“Yeah, pretty, but doesn’t it feel fake?” Said Maddie. 

“You’re real and so does your soul. With your sincere eyes, what’s fake about it?” Stephanie said, annoyed. 

Stephanie had always thought that Maddie’s love for bullying came from a sense of inferiority, unable to stand seeing someone being better or happier than her, which was why she always picked on Gillian 

Maddie, touched, hugged Stephanie’s shoulder, “Steph, I really love you! Why are you always sweet?” 

Indeed, as long as the three were together, they always had a good time. 

After lunch, Gillian and Stephanie went to the teacher’s office together. 

Inside the office, there were a few other teachers. 

The teacher who had been teaching them before was named Brook Nelson. 

Though Brook had a plain appearance, she had distinctive features that easily left an impression on the audience. 

The two stood at the door of the office and politely knocked on the door, “Ms. Nelson, we’re here.” 

Brook smiled, Please come in! Have you all eaten yet?” 

The two walked in, “Yes, we did. Have you, Ms. Nelson?” 

I have. I called you here to discuss the possibility of you being invited to participate in a performance.” Said Brook. 

“Please give us more guidance, Ms. Nelson.” 

“Actually, I’m not that worried about Gillian. Although she hasn’t been studying acting for very long, she’s been at it for more than a semester longer than you, Stephanie! She has some basic skills, in addition she has a certain foundation already. The one I’m more concerned about is actually you, Stephanie.” Said Brook.
