Sold To The Untouchable Alpha

Chapter Bring Home

[lvan's POV]

I quickly made my way through the halls of Isaac's castle, earning myself strange looks from the workers

The woman in my arms remained unmoving as I continued to carry her.

I knew that she was malnourished from how thin she was, but just how light she was surprised me. "Ivan?" Turning, I found Isaac heading towards me with a look of alarm on his face. "What happened?”

He eyed Arissa with disgust and curiosity as he asked the question.

"She was sedated,” I explained. "Could you explain how she went from the quiet young girl I knew to this?"

I couldn't quite understand why I was so curious. After all, she was only going to be a means of keeping my bloodline and pack alive. However, seeing her in this condition sent an odd emotion surging through me.

"Does it matter?" Isaac asked, looking slightly bored. "She is nothing more than a murderer.”

A murderer. I was getting frustrated by that word. He, too, was a murderer, but he was allowed to live his life freely.

"I guess not.” There was no reason to argue with him over this. "And since I've collected what I came for, I need to head back."

"Are you sure about her, brother?" Isaac asked.

I had to bite back the annoyed response that danced on my tongue. He had his money and should have been satisfied. Was he really that hell-bent on torturing her more?

"I'm positive." I huffed, turning on my heel and making my way out of the building.

When I arrived at my estate, Hans, my beta, and Igor, my delta, were waiting. As they took in the still-asleep Arissa nestled against my chest, their expressions shifted from relief to confusion. "What is this?" Hans asked first, eyeing her as if she was a weapon. "Why do you have a woman with you?"

Of course they would be suspicious, especially given the relationship between Isaac and me. We acted cordial on the outside, but inside I wouldn't put it past him to kill me for more power. Which is why I ultimately chose Arissa. A woman who despises him as much as I do won't betray me for him. Not to mention, her strength intrigued me.

"She will birth my heir." I responded simply. "Once that is done, she will leave."

I knew she hadn't agreed, and I had no intention of forcing her, but I was sure I could get her to agree to my proposition. Once she got what she wanted, she would be as good as mine.

"Aren't you worried in the slightest?" Hans asked, still seeming hesitant. "She came from your brother's pack, correct?"

"That is correct."

"Then..."

"It is of no concern to you." I snapped, cutting him off. "If she turns on me or kills me, then I deserve it."

I understood that he was worried, but I was beginning to get pissed that he would think me a fool. "Right." He sighed, shooting a glance towards Igor. "I'm sorry to have overstepped.”

"Good, now could you call Christine and have her meet me in my chambers?"

"Yes, sir."

Satisfied, I headed inside the building, keeping my gaze fixed firmly ahead while all eyes found their way towards me.

"A woman..."

"New mistress?”

"Floozy."

The servants’ instant gossip drifted to my ears as I carried Arissa towards my bed chambers. Before she woke up, I hoped to get her cleaned and changed. It would be more convenient for my nose.

"Sir." Christine, my head maid, greeted me once I arrived at my destination. "How may I help you?" "I need you to wash this woman and change her."

I watched as Christine's dark eyes shot to Arissa. Her nose crimpled in disdain as her lips turned into a frown.

Christine had been prepped since birth on how to be a proper maid and woman. Of course, seeing such an unkempt woman would rouse her distaste.

"Yes, sir.” She finally said while ripping her gaze away. "I will be sure to transform her.”

"Good, then I will leave her in your care.”

I moved forward and into the bathroom, where I helped strip Arissa of her tattered shirt. It stuck to her skin in places where fresh wounds sat, making it difficult, but we managed

"Then I'm going to my office.” I announced once Arissa was in the tub. "The rest is up to you." "Don't worry." Christine smiled.

Nodding, I left the room and headed towards my office. I needed to read through a few reports on the movements of the hunters.

Since two months ago, when the bastards decided to lie in wait on my brother's land, they have become bolder and bolder. Attacks were becoming more frequent and getting closer to my pack. These bastards needed to be put in their place, and I planned to be the one to do it.

[Arissa's POV]

An annoying tugging feeling against my head roused me from the medically induced coma those bastard guards had put me in.

Curious as to what they planned, I continued to pretend to be out cold.

"Such knots. " A woman's voice hissed as my hair was pulled even harder.

Eyes flying open, I jumped up and quickly took in the space around me. I was no longer in that dingy cell. Instead, I was in a pristine white room with billowing lace drapes that surrounded a large glass door leading to a balcony.

The bed I was currently on was huge and covered in fluffy white pillows. Above, a large mirror overlooked everything happening below. Four polls surrounded it, holding up a thin fabric canopy that swayed in the breeze that wafted in from two open windows.

"What the hell?" I growled, going on alert. "Where is this?"

A woman who looked to be in her forties watched me with boredom as I slowly started getting off the bed.

"Do you know how to speak?” I snapped once I was on my feet. "Where the fuck is this?"

The woman continued to remain impassive as I looked around the room for an exit.

"Go ahead.” The woman sighed, crossing her arms. "You won't make it very far.”

It seemed she caught onto my train of thought, and she actually looked amused.

"The master won't let you escape that easily.”

Master? Who the fuck was the woman talking about?

"Now, please have a seat so I can finish your hair."

Feeling even more confused, I lifted a hand and touched my hair. Instead of feeling knotted and greasy like it usually did, it felt silky and my fingers easily went through it.

"Wait..." I gasped as my confusion turned to shock. "I'm clean?"

Rushing forward, I found a mirror and took in my reflection.

WHO WAS THIS WOMAN?
