Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy)

Chapter 34

Chapter 34 Have You Ever Liked Me?

It was such a small world. She could run into them anywhere.

They were annoying!

Nancy looked at the food on the table and instantly felt no appetite.

But thinking about the baby in her stomach, she still reluctantly ate a lot.

Especially the nutritious ones like shrimp and fish, which she took big bites of into her stomach even though she found them a bit fishy.

After finishing her meal, Nancy looked at the man across the table, "Lynn, can I ask how long you've been by his side?"

"Oh? You mean Mr. Sallow?"

Lynn thought momentarily, then continued, "It's been five years. I've been working for Mr. Sallow since he entered the company."

"Five years?" Nancy murmured, "Not as long as mine.

"Mrs. Sallow, what did you say?" Lynn looked puzzled.

"Nothing." Nancy shook her head.

Ten years. She loved Nicholas for ten whole years.

"Is he always gentle with every girl?" Nancy asked again.

Lynn immediately shook his head and replied seriously, "No, Mr. Sallow is only interested in

you..."

"And Ms. Phillip. He acts very coldly to other women."

"Is that true?" Nancy smiled.

He's deeply in love with Madelline. He didn't even allow women to get close.

Nancy thought Nicholas would also be extremely cold towards her if they had no marital constraints or grandpa's love towards Nancy.

Suddenly, a soft and melodious piano song filled the hall. As the familiar rhythm played. Madelline's mind instantly flashed back to the moment she had gracefully danced on stage. tiptoeing to the music.

That night, she was so beautiful, so proud, like the darling of the whole world, the most beautiful and captivating peacock. She was simply beyond words in her beauty.

That day was her most glorious and magnificent day.

She would never forget it.

But now, her legs were crippled, and she would never have the chance to stand on the stage again.

She had always thought Nicholas had forgotten, but she didn't expect him to remember.

With tears in her eyes, Madelline was so excited that she could barely speak.

In another private room, Nancy couldn't help but look over. She saw a waiter pushing a multi-layered cake into a large, transparent private room diagonally across them.

The design on the cake was precisely the most beautiful moment from when she had danced. gracefully on the stage, wearing a red gown, moving as gracefully as a fairy. Even the movements were identical. Madelline was truly overjoyed, her face filled with excitement and happiness.

"Nicholas, I didn't expect it. I thought you had already forgotten."

"I remember."

"Thank you, Nicholas. I'm so surprised and happy

Madelline hugged Nicholas tightly around his neck, overflowing with joy.

The fact that he could remember her most stunning moment from the past was enough for her.

Just as Nicholas looked up, he happened to see Nancy.

This was entirely unexpected for him.

He hadn't expected Nancy to be dining at this restaurant as well.

"Nicholas, I'm pleased. I'm happy that you've always had me in your heart"

Madelline leaned in, offering a smile and a kiss.

Nancy's hands trembled, and she immediately averted her gaze.

The spoon in her hand accidentally knocked over the cup on the table, which was filled with chrysanthemum tea that the waiter had just poured a while ago, and almost instantly all of it was poured over her

It was burning hot..

However, at that moment, she could hardly feel it at all.

"Let's cut the cake!" Nicholas tilted his head slightly, easily avoiding Madelline, then calmly spoke.

Madelline didn't notice and happily let go of him. "Great! It's strawberry-flavored. It's my favorite."

"Yeah, I'm glad you like it."

"Go ahead, I'll step out for a moment."

After exiting the corner, Nicholas immediately dialed Lynn, "Come out for a moment."

"Huh? Mr. Sallow, what do you mean?" Lynn had a brain full of questions.

"I'm in the same restaurant as you, across your private room.

Okay, Mr. Sallow. I'll be right there."

As soon as Lynn was out of the box, he quickly found Nicholas.

"Why are you guys here?" Nicholas frowned. This was out of his expectations.

"Mr. Sallow, it's a coincidence. It was randomly chosen by Mrs. Sallow when she passed by here."

"What happened to her? I saw the waitress has her hands full."

"Mrs. Sallow has just been scalded by boiling water, Lynn replied.

"How are you taking care of her? How's the burn? Is it serious?"

"A bit red and swollen."

Hearing this, Nicholas stepped away and walked straight towards Nancy's private room.

"Please wait for a moment, Ms. Cohen. I'll get you medicine for your burns," said the waitress thoughtfully.

Nancy looked at the redness on her hand, shook her head, and faintly said, "It's okay. I'll flush it down with cold water myself later."

Maybe her heart was hurting too much, and she felt the wound didn't hurt that much.

"Nonsense."

Nicholas spoke while walking in.

Seeing him, Nancy was stunned, for she had not expected him to come over at all.

Didn't he in the opposite box?

Moreover, he had just celebrated Madelline's birthday, cutting the cake and showing her love. How did he have time to come here?

"Why don't you put medicine on your wounds?"

After that, he looked to the waitress and ordered, "Go get the medicine."

"Alright, I'll be right back."

"Weren't you celebrating your confidante's birthday? Why did you leave her alone to come here?" Nancy's voice was one of undisguised jealousy.

"It's not her birthday. It's a special day for her. I don't want her to be disheveled, so I wanted to encourage her, and that's all."

After saying that, Nicholas pulled over a chair and sat beside Nancy, pulling over her wrist as he scrutinized it.

When he saw a large red burn on her hand, he frowned fiercely, "You've almost graduated, and you're not a little girl anymore, but you still can't learn to take care of yourself." "I hadn't graduated yet!" Nancy muttered softly.

She went to graduate school as soon as she graduated from college. Graduate school was three years, and if things went well, she had six months before she graduated. "But you're not a little girl anymore."

"Who said that? I'm cute and young. I'm a little girl.

"Since when is that how little girls are defined? Mrs. Sallow, remember who you are. You're now a married woman.”

Nancy beamed, "It doesn't matter. I won't be soon anyway. I have a good heart, and I'm just a little girl. That's it!"

Nicholas was speechless. He could only helplessly shake his head and sigh, "Okay, you're forever eighteen. You're always a teenage girl, okay?"

Nancy then felt a little more comfortable.

The waitress quickly brought the ointment, and Nicholas took it in a quick step.

"Be good and put your hands on the table." He looked over at Nancy and said.

"Yes."

Nancy obediently placed both of her hands on the table.

Nicholas cupped the pill box in one hand and held a cotton swab in the other. His slender fingers patiently rubbed the ointment on her bit by bit.

His side profile was handsome, with smooth, attractive contours and deep features. Everything seemed to shimmer under the light.

He never needed to adorn himself because he carried an aura wherever he went.

She had never imagined that such an outstanding person would become her husband.

Unexpectedly, he had agreed to marry her.

She felt like everything was dreamlike and surreal on the day they registered their marriage.

After getting married, she thought he would be distant and cold towards her, maybe even detest. her.

Because if it weren't for her, Grandfather wouldn't have forced him into this marriage. Perhaps, as Madelline had said, one day, with his efforts, Grandfather might genuinely accept Madelline, which made Nancy fear that he might resent her.

So, Nancy had never dared to have too many fantasies about this marriage. She had herself for being ignored and neglected by him.

prepared

She had also prepared herself to warm and melt him with a lifetime of sincerity and love.

But nothing she expected happened.

When they got married, he was like a perfect husband.

He had everything organized.

He would also care for her and protect her.

He would support her, give her money to spend, buy her lots and lots of jewelry and clothes, and provide her with credit cards.

He would even give her medicine and carry her when needed.

In the deep of night, he would also, like all men, bury himself in her neck, intertwine with her, and lose himself in passion with her.

So, at times like those, she had once had the illusion.

5/6

Has he already forgotten Madelline? Even if he still remembers, was he not so in love anymore? She thought he had moved on or at least liked herself a little.

"Nicholas, I want to ask you a question. Can I?" Nancy looked at him, suddenly wanting to ask. "What's going on in that little head of yours? Where do you get so many questions all day long?"

"So, can I ask?"

"Go ahead!"

"Have you ever liked me in the last two years?"
