Secret Scion

Chapter 165 -

Rose frowned and said, "Jeremiah, your brother has just returned, so don't go overboard. You'll have plenty of time if you want to get your revenge against him. There's no need to affect our mood because of this."

Sebastian nodded and said, "Listen to Rose, Jeremiah. Let them go." With that, Sebastian walked over to the window. He turned around, and his relaxed expression quickly darkened. He wondered if the owner of that aura was a friend or foe.

"Asher, since my brother told me to let you leave, I'll let you leave today. But you better remember this. If you're still going to be so arrogant in front of me, I'm going to throw you out of the city!" Jeremiah said cruelly.

Noelle quickly pulled Asher out of the place when she heard that.

"Are you two really having a fight?" Rose whispered at the emotionless Griffin when Asher and Noelle had left.

"We're not having a fight. We're done. We have our own lives now," Griffin said.

Once they left the hotel, Noelle had just heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Asher's face being pale. Noelle then consoled him saying, "Jeremiah's just a despicable scum. There's no need for you to lower yourself to his level. Not to mention that it's never too late to have your vengeance. I have faith in you."

Despite the fury in him, Asher could not unleash it in front of Noelle. With a smile, he then said, "You must be hungry. Let's go eat something."

Half an hour later.

In Solomon's room at the Crawford household.

"Master, just as you have guessed. Sebastian does indeed harbor murderous intent toward Master Asher. His situation at Solstice Hotel was much too dangerous. Luckily, Master Asher managed to endure it. Otherwise, Sebastian would have definitely used this chance to get rid of him. Even if Sebastian didn't kill Master Asher, he would no doubt have crippled him," Aiden said with a frown.

When Solomon heard that, he could not help but frown. The wrinkles on his forehead became even deeper.

Asher was the grandson he favored the most. Of course, he felt hurt as well for having to exile him.

After thinking for a moment, Solomon then said, "Sebastian wants to kill Asher, which means that Asher is becoming a threat to him. In other words, Sebastian is beginning to worry about Asher with his current level of strength. It's a good thing."

Aiden nodded and said, "Master Asher has changed a lot in the past two years. His accomplishments in the future will be great indeed."

"Ha. It's not easy for you to say something like that, Mr. Duncan," Solomon said with a pleased smile. The youths were the hope of the households. Only when they were strong could the

household prosper.

"That's why we have to protect Asher. We can't let anything happen to him. Sebastian should be able to sense you, but he can't confirm who you are just yet. I believe that he'll do everything he can to find you. Mr. Duncan, you can't show yourself just yet. Do remain hidden."

When Sebastian reached home, it was around 11 at night. He wondered if his grandpa was already asleep, and so he went to Alistair's place to take a look.

When he reached Alistair's detached courtyard, he could see that the room was still lit. Sebastian then walked over and knocked on the door and said, "Grandpa, it's me. Sebastian."

Very quickly, Alistair's joyful voice could be heard from inside. "Come in."

"Why aren't you resting when it's already so late?" Sebastian asked as he walked in. When he saw that Alistair was simply wearing a shirt, he quickly closed the door so that the frigid wind would not enter.

Alistair then said with a smile, "I'm getting old, and I don't need much sleep. Since I can't sleep, I might as well have a cup of tea. I brewed this myself, why not try it?" With that, he poured a cup for Sebastian.

Perhaps only Sebastian could enjoy something like this in the entire household. "Your tea is impeccable, as usual."

"Making tea requires knowledge and skill. It's no simpler than being a man," Alistair said with a smile. "I heard that you met Asher when you were out for dinner. After he left the city two years ago, I've never met him again. Now that you've seen him, what do you think about him?" Sebastian gave the tea a sip first. It was both fragrant and deep. While the tea leaves used were good, so was the skill of the person that brewed the tea. He put down the teacup and then said to Alistair, "He's far stronger than the last time we met. The speed of his growth is far beyond what I expected."

"Which part? In terms of shrewdness? Or martial arts?"

"Both," Sebastian said. "When I left the capital city, Asher only knew some basic martial arts. However, his martial abilities are far beyond that of Phoebe's. It's not too strange for someone like Phoebe to have that kind of power since she was born in a martial arts household. However, who taught Asher his martial arts? Grandpa, did Crawford employ some mysterious elite?" "Mysterious elite?" Alistair frowned. "I've never heard about that. How did you know about it?" Afterward, Sebastian explained everything that had happened at the hotel. In the end, he added, "While I didn't see him in person, I believe that his power far surpasses those who are in the Elite Ranking. Originally, I wanted to find a chance to disable Asher's martial arts. However, he was too powerful. I wasn't sure if he was a friend or foe, so I didn't dare take any sudden actions." "An elite that surpasses those in the Elite Ranking? That powerful?" It was at that moment Alistair had a mixed expression on his face as well. He had not heard anything about this from anyone. Anyone as powerful as them would have a powerful standing in any organization anywhere. If they were to become the target of such an elite who would strike from the darkness, the threat that he represented would be substantial.

"It's no strange matter for the Crawfords to have someone like that since Solomon's not just some old man. I believe that Asher being exiled from the Crawfords is part of his plan. Even if he can deceive everyone, he can't deceive me. Otherwise, why would this mysterious elite appear at such a critical time? It can be seen that Solomon still wants to protect Asher."

Alistair paused for a moment and then continued, "Sebastian, be honest with me. Just how powerful are you? You have quite the natural talent, and you have spent a few years in the Ancient Martial College, you must have improved quite substantially."

Sebastian gave it a thought and said, "Getting into the top five of the Elite Ranking shouldn't be a problem."

"Really?" Alistair let out a laugh. "You didn't disappoint us. At this rate, you could probably surpass Jerome Webb in the next ten years. Since you love martial arts, then for the next few years, focus your effort on your martial arts. Don't worry about the household. The position of the patriarch will be passed on to you eventually."

Sebastian nodded and said, "Thank you. I won't disappoint you."

"I can rest easy with those words of yours," Alistair said. After giving it a thought, he continued, "Speaking of which, Selena mentioned Rose and you in the afternoon. Your aunt is saying that, if you're fine with it, we should have your engagement done first. In Alexandrius, that girl from the Schmidt household might be the only young woman who has the caliber to be your wife." When Sebastian heard that, he could not help but recall what happened back in the hotel. Sebastian was also trying to find out what Rose was thinking when she helped Asher back then. Logically speaking, since Asher was the Schmidts' enemy, Rose should not be helping Asher in the first place.

"Grandpa, I think it's best to ask Rose about it first," Sebastian said.

Alistair snorted and said, "What? Is she going to refuse? Letting her marry into the Macquoids is an honor. I don't believe she will turn it down. Fine. I'll go over to the Schmidts tomorrow and ask them about it."

The next day.

Asher woke up early and went out, buying two sets of breakfast. When he was back at the hotel, Noelle had just woken up.

"You still have some time before going back to Rollinsford. Have some before heading back," Asher said with a smile.

Noelle had just finished washing up when she walked out of the bathroom with a smile, saying, "All of a sudden, I don't want to go home anymore."

Asher was taken aback. "The company's more important. How are you going to be my sugar mama if you don't earn?"

When Noelle heard that, she burst out laughing. She then said, "It's not like it'll take a lot to keep you around."

After breakfast, Asher then took Noelle's belongings and headed out. Before she got into the car, Noelle looked at Asher with longing eyes. She pouted her cherry-colored lips and said, "Remember what you said last time when I left?"

After she said that, Noelle's face suddenly blushed as her eyes became teary, her expression filled with embarrassment.

Of course, Asher remembered. When they met again next time, they would have a very passionate exchange.

When Asher saw Noelle blushing, he could not help but say with a smile, "Why didn't you remind me last night?"

"Do you need me to remind you about this?" Noelle rolled her eyes at Asher. "That's so embarrassing."

In reality, Asher remembered it better than Noelle did. However, when they met again, he was no longer the scion from the Crawfords. He was at his lowest point in life. He did not want to do it with Noelle at a time like this.

"Something so beautiful should be saved for when the time is right. Even without that, you still belong to me." With that, Asher hugged Noelle tightly and kissed her tender lips.
