I was in a clearing again. I didn’t move out of place, I just leaned against the tree and closed my eyes.

All of a sudden someone wrapped their arms around me and I opened my eyes to see it was Chase.

“Leave me alone. Please” I whispered and he shook his head

“Don’t shut me out Rosey.” He replied and I smiled slightly

“Alec told me you that he came up with that name” I pushed him away and he fell on the floor.

“Well...We both did?” He laid his head next to my legs and laid on the floor.

“Why am I dreaming with you again?” I asked and he looked up at me.

“Don’t you want me in your dreams? Like they say ‘dream about me baby’ and you are” he smirked and I sighed and close my eyes laying on the tree

“I tried to kill myself yesterday” I muttered and he held my hand tightly.

“It wasn’t yesterday Emily. It’s been a week. You’re in coma. From all the stress.” He said and I nodded

“I give up on life Chase. I can’t do it anymore.” I whispered

“Don’t Emily. I promise you that everything will change soon. Just don’t give up on us” he sat up and touching my face.

“But Chase there is no us. Your Alec’s wolf” I opened my eyes

“I know Alec is going to change Emily. You should have see him in this week. He looks terrible. So don’t worry. And don’t give up Emily” he leaned closer to me.

“I can’t.” I took a deep breath “I can’t give up chase. Because I can’t die.” I said and he kissed my forehead

“Good. Because I’m not going to let you” he laid his head on my lap

“Chase?” I asked

“Hmm”

“Do you know when I am going to wake up?” I asked and he opened his eyes and looked at me.

“Now” he replied before everything disappeared.

“Please Emily. Please wak-” someone coughed. I opened my eyes slowly to see I was in a hospital with all these things tied to me.

“Let me out of here” I mumbled pulling the wires out of my arms.

“Emily stop!” I heard Alec say and I looked to him to see he looked awful. He had eye bags under his eyes, his hair was messed and his clothes were wrinkled.

“Alec..” I whispered and he hugged me. Tightly.

“Shush” he mumbled and I cried.

“Alec he got me again. I didn’t want him too. But he said he’ll kill Oli. And Oli is my brother. I’m sorr-” I got cut off by Alec kissing me. I looked it to his eyes to see they were brown and not black. It wasn’t Chase.

“Shush Emily. Shush. It’s okay” he mumbled against my lips

I blushed as he moved back and helped me sit up.

“Don’t worry Emily. I have the best trackers looking for him” he said running a hand threw my hair.

“I-I..Okay” I mumbled looking at myself.

I don’t deserve Alec I thought sighing

“What’s wrong?” He asked and I shook my head, still not looking at him.

“Nothing. Can you call my dad please?” I asked and he stood up and walked out the room.

I took a deep breath just as dad walked into the room and hugged me tightly

“Dad...can’t..breath” I mumbled and he quickly let me go

“Sorry princess. Are you okay? Shall I call Susan?” He asked and I shook my head

“I’m okay” I whispered as Oli walked into the room with mom behind him.

“I made something for you” Oli said and stepped back to see mom holding a chocolate cake on a plate.

“Don’t give it to her! Oliver doesn’t know how to cook. I bet it tastes horrible” dad smirked and Oli gasped

“Dad! How dare you! I will let you know, Maddy likes my cooking” he waved a spoon around at dad. Maddy is Oliver’s mate

“She only says that because she’s your mate. Go buy Emily a real cake” dad said and Oli nodded

“Fine! But it won’t be as nice as mine” he groaned and walked out the room.

“How are you feeling Emily?” Mom asked and I shrugged

“I’m okay” I replied and mom nodded.

“Okay. You can leave this hospital. And you could lay down on your own bed” mom said and I nodded.

I took the wires out of my arms and legs. I pulled the covers off me and tried to lift my leg but I couldn’t feel it.

“What’s wrong?” Dad asked and Alec walked towards me

“I’ll take you” he mumbled and picked me up bridal style.

“Emily legs give up sometimes. Normally when she has nightmare, but I’m guessing because she was in coma for a week, she’ll be paralyzed from below her waist” Alec explained to my my parents as mom opened the door to the outside.

Everyone was staring at me. I turned my face and hid it in Alec’s chest and closed my eyes.

Alec pulled me closer to him as we walked inside the pack house. He took me upstairs to my room and laid me down on the bed.

“I’ll be here” he said and I shook my head.

“I don’t want you to be here Alec” I mumbled and he nodded

“Erm...Okay. I’ll be downstairs” he walked out the room and I pulled the covers over myself.

I woke up to see it was dark outside. I pulled the covers off me, and tried to move my legs and it worked. I stood up slowly and walked out the room. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to see Alec pacing up and down, and he was coughing badly.

“Emi-” he coughed up blood.

“Alec! Alec what’s wrong!” I shouted walking towards him as he held the counter

“Nothing” he mumbled walking to the sink. He coughed up more blood and rinsed his mouth.

“Alec what’s wrong?” I asked confused turning the lights on to see he looked terrible.

“Alec..” I whispered as he fell to the floor.

I ran to him and quickly put my hand on his chest. I closed my eyes and thought of Alec being okay. I opened them to see nothing happened.

“Alec what’s wrong? Please tell me. I can help maybe” I muttered

“It’s coming to an end Emily. Remember I’m cursed” he tried to laugh but he coughed up more blood.

“I’ll call Anna” I whispered and he shook his head.

“There no point” he mumbled closing his eyes

“No! I can try something. Alec open your stupid eyes. Please! Dad!” I screamed

“Alec. Open them. Please” I whispered trying to think of him okay. Him healing.

“Please Alec. Please open your eyes. I can’t lose you Alec.I fucking love you” I slapped him and he started coughing just as dad ran downstairs with only shorts on.

“What- go call Susan cherry” dad shouted and mom ran out the kitchen.

“I can’t do anything dad. He’s not healing! I don’t know what to do!” I shouted

“What powers do you have?” Dad asked as kneeling down next to me as Alec kept coughing.

“The elements...Erm..oh ice,drawing. I don’t remember dad” I mumbled forgetting everything.

“Try to draw him smiling. Or perfectly okay” dad said and I nodded

“I’m not good at drawi-”

“Just do it Emily. We don’t have a witch here” dad shouted and I nodded

I closed my eyes, and thought of drawing Alec perfectly fine. He’s smiling, laughing. I thought of drawing a recent picture of him with Anna. I opened my eyes to see my hand moving on its own, with a gold light coming out of my fingers.

“Woa-“dad was speechless.

The gold light went towards Alec and to his chest.

Alec started to cough and then he opened his eyes as mom came back with Susan.

“Emily?” Alec mumbled confused and I hugged him tightly.

“I fucking hate you”I whispered and dad gasped

“She swore. For the first time! Congratulations everyone” dad smirked and I rolled my eyes letting Alec go and he sat up, leaning on the counter

“What happened?” He asked confused

“He doesn’t know?” Dad looked at me and I shook my head

“I drew a picture of him before all this happened. One I saw him happy at and okay. We need to go back so Anna can sort him out” I mumbled standing up

“I’m guessing Anna is a witch?” Dad asked as Alec an him stood up

“Yeah” I replied

“We need to go now dad.” I muttered and dad nodded

“Hoe about the morning?” Dad said and I nodded

“Early in the morning” I muttered and dad nodded.

I helped Alec upstairs to my room and helped him on the bed.

“Why are we here Emily?” He asked confused

“Just. Alec? You need to mark me. You’re going to die” I mumbled getting in bed and turning the lights off

“No Emily. I told you no. If I can’t get rid of this another way then there is no point. I only have one week left. If I die, I die” he replied back and I groaned

“Alec. People need you! Anna needs you” I muttered and he looked at me.

“So you don’t need me?” He asked quietly

“I-I do” I sighed and he smiled slightly.

“Good” he muttered before closing his eyes, he tried to wrap an arm around me but I moved away.

“But Alec you need to live. You need to see the future. You need to get married, have a family. Maybe go touring. What ever you want to do in life. That’s why you need to live” I exclaimed

“What about you? Don’t you want all of that?” He asked and I nodded

“I do”

“Then why try to kill yourself? Why do it when you know so many people care about you? When I care?” He whispered and I closed my eyes

He got his memory back quickly

“I was stupid Alec. Goodnight” I mumbled and heard him sigh

“Night” he muttered.
