Chapter Lazy Days

Faye woke up feeling something scaly wrapped around her midsection and she rubbed the scaly thing hearing a soft shake of a rattle.

"Morning Naois, when did you come to my room?" Faye asked while she began to sit up, but Naois tightened his hold making her lay back down.

"I don't remember, but go back to sleep. It's too early to be awake." He replied in a deep husky voice hugging her tighter so she couldn't fight back.

She pounded her fist against his toned chest in retaliation, but stayed still after that. This had become part of their routine, if one of them didn't go to bed together they would go to the other's room and fall asleep, or Naois would carry Faye into his room.

"Naois we both know that I'm not going to be able to fall back asleep. Let me go and get started on the day." Faye mumbled from his chest.

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"Why?"

"No. I'm going to bite you if you don't shut up."

"Jokes on you I'm into that kinky shit."

"Faye!" All she could do was giggle into his chest, tracing patterns into his chest, causing him to shiver and grabbed her hand, "Stop it." He groaned opening an eye to look down at her.

"Well if you had let me go, then we wouldn't be in this situation. Do you wanna let me go? Or do I have to fight you?"

"Do you really think a human-like you can fight against me? That's the funniest thing you've said, Faye." He remarked, while laughing and Faye took the opportunity to tackle him off the bed and the two of them wrestled until Naois pinned Faye to the ground and he grazed his fangs across her neck, "Do you still want to fight me?" He asked licking her neck with his forked tongue.

"If I said yes, what would you do?" Faye breathlessly asked.

"Would you rather I explain?" He asked sliding his hand up her leg, causing goosebumps to appear on her body, as he continue to speak "Or would you rather I show you instead?" He asked leaning closer to her face making his hair fall like a curtain around his face.

Faye's breath was caught in her throat and didn't know how to respond, and it only got worse when his hand got further up her leg as he leaned closer to her lips, both their breaths intertwining until Faye turned her head away, "My breath probably stinks, I should go brush my teeth." Suddenly said as she slipped out from underneath him and ran down the tower stairs. Naois blinked once, then twice, and then three times, trying to understand what just happened. Sighing he got up and went to his room to try and get some more sleep.

Faye on the other hand was a blushing mess as she entered the bathing area, 'Why did I say that? WHY DID I DO THAT?' She thought as paced back and forth, she was so distracted that she didn't hear someone walking up behind her.

"You're up earlier than I anticipated." Faye jumped in her skin as she whipped around to see the woman in white.

"You scared me! I just needed a breather this morning, the air in the morning is like a wake-up slap, and I needed that this morning." Faye explained as she cracked her knuckles and looked over to the body of water. She could feel the stare on her back from the lady in white.

"Ok. The protector wants to talk to you in his room, so follow me." Faye hoped he wouldn't bring up what happened earlier or cause a repeat of what happened earlier.

The woman walked together as they walked to his room, the woman in white opened the door and Faye walked in.

"Naois, where are you, and what do you want?" Faye asked as she walked further into the room, it was kind of dark, all the curtains were closed, so it was kind of hard to see, but her eyes got adjusted to the darkness as she walked closer to his bed, "Naois?" she asked as she reached the foot of the bed.

She felt the scales of his tail rub against her nightdress and lift her up, "What do you want Faye?" Naois asked in a groggy voice.

"The woman in white told me that you wanted to talk to me." She heard him shift in his bed and she was lifted into the air and placed onto the silk sheets. Naois placed his head on her breasts and wrapped his arms around her waist as his tail circled around them, "What's wrong?" he shook his head and hugged her tighter.

"I read that 'hugs' are another sign of affection and I wanted to show you that I considered you a loved one as well." He said snuggling closer, 'When did he have time to read something like that? Whatever it's cute.' Faye thought as she hugged him back and planted a kiss on the top of his head.

"Thank you Naois" Faye could feel him smile as she held him, then a kiss on her collarbone, then under her chin, and nestled his neck into her collarbone. "We should get out of bed-" Faye was cut off by a pair of lips on her own.

"Let's spend the day together in bed. I don't want to do anything." He mumbled into her neck, sending shivers and causing goosebumps to appear on her skin, "Just stay and rest Faye."

Groaning Faye finally surrendering to his pleading and rested her chin on top of his head. "Fine. You win! We can stay in bed and do nothing. Happy now?!" She only felt the vibrations of his laugh as he turned them sideways so they were spooning. "I'm not going to be able to go to sleep tonight, when I'm actually supposed to be asleep. I'm going to bother the ever-loving fuck out of you tonight and you better not say shit. Understand?"

"Yes, Faye and you'll say 'I'm going to fight you, so you learn your lesson.' or something similar. I get it, be quiet!" He hissed into her ear. She shivered, liking how he hissed in her ear. She closed her eyes, when a knock at the door sounded along with the door opening.

A series of hissing commenced between Naois and who Faye would've guessed, the woman in white, and she felt something placed on the bed and the door being closed once more.

"What was that about?"

"She brought us food to eat, maybe if you eat we can finally sleep." There was shifting once more and Faye felt Naois gently grabbed her face, "Open your mouth."

"I can feed myself."

"I know you can when you can see with light, not without it. Why are you being stubborn today?" Naois asked.

"I'm not, you know what just feed me if you want to so badly." She felt something wet and round on her lips, then opened her mouth and chewed. It was a blueberry, the next fruit was raspberry, then a clementine slice. This repeated over and over until there was no more fruit then Naois fed her pieces of a crepe bread with egg and cheese wrapped together. Faye was full and falling asleep.

"I guess you were right~" Faye mumbled as she shut her eyes.

"Told you. Night Faye." She heard then felt a warm kiss placed on her forehead before finally falling asleep.

Naois looked down at Faye and gave a slight smile, before looking away and frowning, 'She still has to go home at some point, I need to stop being attached. She's not mine and she'll never be. She has a family to return to. They're waiting for her to return home safely .' Naois thought gravely as he went back to eating his food, 'But at the same time, I don't want her to go, not yet.'
