REVENGE OF THE BETRAYED WOLF

Chapter Chapter three

The next day, the sun's rays came through the window, waking Freya. With a slow movement, she bent over and got out of bed, heading for the bathroom. Her mind still slightly numb, she filled the bathtub with lukewarm water and plunged in carefully, feeling the calm of the water envelop her body. Time seemed to vanish as he lost himself in thought, his mind returning to the last moments before his reincarnation.

"Alpha Crono, I beg you, don't kill my father, he was a loyal wolf to you and your region, have mercy on us." Freya pleads, kneeling at Crono's feet.

"Stand up, your father is a traitor. Afterwards, I'll see what I'll do with you. You'd better go cry in your room, it's depressing to see you like this," he tells her disdainfully.

"After your father dies, we'll see if my alpha takes pity on you, so you don't meet the same end as your father. Perhaps my love will be content to lock you up in the dungeons," Palas murmured, glowering at him.

Palas was a sweet, gentle young woman whom Crono had brought to the manor one day, winning Crono's heart and bed, which led to his divorce from Freya.

"We're already divorced, Freya. Tomorrow, after your father's death, I'll order you banished from these lands. Your father's pack will be led by Dionysus, and everything that belongs to your father will be confiscated by my pack." Freya, weakened by the bitter life she had led in this manor, bitterly wiped away her tears, got up with what little strength she had left and left the office, running to her room to weep in silence, it was the only thing she had done since she had entered this manor.

The next morning, two guards dragged Freya from her room and forced her to witness her father's hanging. Her heart ached at the sight, and the shock made her faint. When she regains consciousness, it's night and she's in a wooded area. That's when she realized she'd been thrown out of the herd. With tears in her eyes, she walked aimlessly, lost in her sadness and loneliness. Just then, a wolf appeared from nowhere, bellowing.

"I've been looking for you," said the man, grimacing, "I've seen how that cursed Crono got to you. Soon I'll have my fill of that wolf," the man approached Freya, who was backed up against a tree, and began stroking her face, "Soon, my she- wolf, this region will be ours. There's still a trace of the beauty you had when I first met you. You are as beautiful as your mother. You will replace her."

"What are you saying? My mother? She's been dead since I was born." Freya could smell the man's fetid breath on her face, which repulsed her. She couldn't remember who he was, but she estimated him at around fifty years old. However, her body shuddered when she heard her mother's name.

The man burst out laughing.

"I am Pyrrhus Sith, your uncle. I was also banished by my father from the pack commanded by my dear brother. My beautiful Flavia, your mother, was my companion, but your father took her from me. She despised and rejected me. After you were born, I returned to the pack to reclaim what was mine. She belonged to me."

"That's not true, she died when I was born."

"No, my dear niece, I kidnapped her and she served me in bed for many years until the bitch committed suicide. You're the spitting image of her. You must be my love, my beloved Luna."

The tears never stopped flowing in Freya's eyes, she was stunned to learn that her mother hadn't died at birth, but had suffered at the hands of her uncle. This broke her heart. She felt disgusted as she felt the man's hands on her body. "Let me go, don't hurt me, I've suffered so much, have mercy on me." He begs in a breathless voice.

"Cooperate, my love. I won't do anything to you that you don't like. Don't be like your stubborn mother. If you obey me, I'll have mercy on you." The wolf took her hand: "We'd better go to your new home."

Freya felt she was destined to suffer, passing from one tormentor to another, and worse, to her uncle, the cause of her mother's death. She walked with the man in apparent submission, while in her mind she searched for a way to escape this nightmare.

"I like that, that you accept your fate," Pirro said with satisfaction.

But just as Freya is about to mount the chariot, she spots a stone at hand, quickly picks it up and hurls it at Pyrrhus' head with all her might. The blow stunned him, and Freya took the opportunity to flee into the forest. She ran and ran, thirsty and exhausted, until she reached a cliff. She felt desperate and hopeless. With tears streaming down her face, she opened her hands and cried out to the moon.

"Goddess Selene, what a cruel fate you have in store for me. I still don't understand what I did to deserve such evil, nor what I did in my past life to pay for it in this one. Why did you allow injustice to be done to my father and me? I don't want to suffer any more. Take my life and do with it what you will.

Freya uttered these words in despair and heartbreak, searching for answers to the countless humiliations she had endured in a year. Just then, the moon turned a deep red, a phenomenon that drew her attention. But a growl made her look away from the moon, and she suddenly turned to see a giant brown wolf approaching her, baring its fangs. As the wolf drew near, Freya saw it transform into the silhouette of Pyrrhus, leaving her stunned and filled with dread. She could only take a few steps backwards and finally fell into the void. She couldn't remember feeling any pain, but had woken up crying in her bed, as if what she'd experienced had been nothing more than a dark, disturbing dream. What she had experienced seemed so real that it continued to haunt her.

A few days later, she experienced events she remembered from her previous life, investigated her mother's death and discovered that she had been kidnapped, and years later, her lifeless body was found. Her father hid it from her so as not to cause her pain. She tried to dissolve her marriage, but an agreement had already been reached. From then on, she began to devise a plan to take revenge on the people who had destroyed her in her previous life. That year, she met Isis, one of the people who had gained her trust since her reincarnation. The two began to fight in both their human and wolf forms. After her reincarnation, the goddess Selene granted special powers to her wolf Phoenix.
