Chapter Chapter fifty-seven
Freya arrived near the wagons, her children came out, eagerly running to embrace their mother. Freya bent down, hugged her children and tears of joy filled her eyes; at that moment, she couldn't believe she'd made it out of the forest alive. The children laughed and she showered them with kisses.
Crono, seeing his family safe, felt a mixture of excitement and satisfaction in his heart. However, now that he would be the alpha chief of the wolf lands, he would be more vigilant in protecting his family from any enemies that appeared. "Let's go home," said Crono, carrying Psyche in his arms.
"No, we were going to see Grandpa. I want to see him." protested Ajax with a tenderized pout.
"I want to see Boox and Aunt Isis," said Metis too.
"First, let's go home and wash, eat and rest. Tomorrow, I promise to take you to see Grandpa myself, and then we'll visit your Aunt Isis and the orcs." Crono responded by presenting little Psyche to the chariot, then took other children and did the same.
"Yippee, yippee, Daddy's coming with us!" exclaimed Psyche as the other children jumped for joy.
"Yes, my loves, Daddy, he'll be in our lives forever! "Freya asserted with a smile as she climbed into the cart.
Crono's men stayed behind to bury the bodies of the dead and clean up the area.
Meanwhile, back at the cabin. Gena was in the garden and Sienna was busy preparing dinner.
"Hello, Gena. I need to talk to your sister, would you mind going back to the manor with your mother?" expressed Dionisio, startling the young girl.
"Something's happened to my mother," Gena gasps, clearly worried.
"Don't be afraid, she's fine. I just want to talk to your sister in private."
"Yes, I'm afraid, sir." Gena put her hand to her chest, then realizing why her sister was running away from that wolf and why he was there, she said, "Take good care of my sister, tell her to go back to the manor with Mom." "Don't call me sir, just Dionysus. Soon, we'll be a family."
"Okay, brother-in-law, take good care of my little sister," she said with a chuckle. In the short time she'd shared with Dionysus, she'd come to realize that he was a wolf with a big heart.
"Behind the bushes is one of my men, he'll take you to your mother, and your sister will be in good hands," she tossed him a wry smile, then headed for the cabin door, entered and made her way to the kitchen, where she stood, watching Sienna, whose back was turned.
Sienna put the knife in the sink, turned off the stove and heaved a heavy sigh before asking.
"What are you doing here?"
"I've come to find my sneaky little wolf, who you thought I'd never notice and that you could escape my clutches."
"How did you find me?"
Dionysus approached her, laid his nose on Sienna's neck and, with a mischievous grin, replied.
"Why have you been hiding from me all these years? Your scent brought me here, and I'm not going to let you escape again. You know, I don't understand why you want to be away from your mate," he kissed her neck, "Ever since I saw you training with Freya, I've felt an attraction to you, but it never crossed my mind that you were my mate."
Sienna was nervous, she didn't know what to say to him. She clung to the edge of the counter as she felt the warm breath on her neck.
"You can stop doing that."
"What?" he asked mischievously.
"Breathing like that makes me nervous."
He turned her around, rested his forehead on hers and, with a smile, said.
"Do I make you nervous? You don't have to be, I haven't done anything wrong to you and I haven't done anything that scares you."

"Don't be silly. Now that you know we're buddies, we should get to know each other first and see what happens next."
"I agree with you, my sneaky little wolf. I'm going to be spending a lot of time here, so we've got plenty of time to get to know each other."
She returned her gaze to the kitchen and continued to prepare the meal.
"The meal will be ready soon, would you like to join us for lunch?"
"Yes, I'll join you for lunch. Your sister is at the manor with your mother, she left with one of my men. So we're alone in this hut, with no one to interrupt us."
Sienna swallowed hard, she knew she had no escape from her fate and that the wolf in front of her wasn't about to let her go free. Right now, she was ready to give him a chance.
One year later. The doctor emerges from the delivery room with a smile up to his ears. He pats Crono's shoulder expressively.
"Congratulations alpha, they're two beautiful little wolves, both boys. The mother is doing well and the babies are healthy."
Everyone shouted with joy, the triplets jumping up and down, clapping their hands in happiness.
"Daddy, daddy, daddy, our little brothers are here! Can I teach them to play with my wagons? Yippee!" exclaimed Ajax excitedly.
"Yes, Daddy, I want to play with them already!" exclaims Psyche, her eyes sparkling.
"When can we see them, Daddy, I want to see them already!" expressed Métis with a beautiful smile on her lips.
"Soon, my dears, soon we'll see my grandchildren." Damara straightened up and rubbed Lucia's belly. She was three months pregnant, Apollo hadn't let her out of her house since he'd rescued her.
Just then, Siena and Dionisio arrived, restless, with their daughter Dina in their arms, barely five months old. She asked them.
"Were my nieces and nephews born?"
"Yes, the doctor has just come out to announce the good news," Isis said, smiling and looking at her husband.
Bastien stood behind her and put his hands on her belly to say.
"We've got good news for you too. Soon, another puppy will join the family."
Applause and congratulations echoed through the waiting room, everyone embracing the new parents.
Freya was tired and sore; she'd already been settled into a room and the nurses had placed the babies in her arms and arranged them so she could nurse them. She smiled as the door opened and three naughty boys entered the room with Crono.
"If you need anything, Freya, you can call us on the intercom and we'll come and help you," one of the nurses smiled, before stepping out of the room.
"Mommy, mommy, mommy, these are our little brothers, they're cute," said Psyche, pouting.
"Mommy, they don't open their little eyes yet. Ajax reached out his little hand to touch one of the babies, and the little fellow grabbed his little finger with his little hand. In a squeaky voice, he cried out, "Look daddy, look, he's grabbed my finger".
"Yes, my prince, he's waving at you. You're his big brother, he'll always take care of him" Freya smiled, she was happy with the family she'd built since letting her guard down with Crono.
"What are their names, Mommy?" exclaimed Metis, stroking the head of one of the babies.
Crono looked at them lovingly; since they had come into his life, they had made him the happiest man in the world. Now, with the arrival of his new children, he couldn't help but smile with happiness. Seeing Freya's face as if telling him to answer this question, he moved closer to Freya and, giving one of the children a kiss, replied.
"This beautiful little wolf will be called Achilles, like his grandfather, my daddy", then kissed the other baby's little head, "and this champion will be called Moses". He kissed Freya's lips and, looking into her eyes, continued: "My beautiful beast, thank you for giving me a great family. Our five children are beautiful. Thank you for coming back into my life."
Crono picked up one of the babies and sat down on a chair for his siblings to cuddle him. Freya was happy with the family she had started. At that moment, she thanked the goddess Selene for bringing her back to life, and next to Crono, she could see that he was not the cruel man she had thought, but a wonderful man, devoted to his family, and who every day made her fall in love with his actions.
