Chapter Chapter eight
Crono entered his room, feeling his manhood throb. With a mixture of anxiety and anger, he grumbled.
"She's a bold one who dares to question everything I tell her. She almost left me without offspring!" Frustration overwhelmed him at the companion he'd received, a companion who constantly defied his orders. Exasperated, he took refuge under the shower, hoping the cold water would calm the flames of his rage.
The next morning, when the sun had yet to fully illuminate the sky, Crono sped through the vast mountains surrounding his lands, heading for the mysterious kingdom of the Kelpies.
Freya awoke early, feeling the need to stay in her room. She decided to call one of the servants to bring her breakfast. She also took the initiative of inviting her mother-in-law to share breakfast.
Freya felt time passing slowly. Her eyes kept turning to the window and, suddenly, she saw a car approaching in the distance. She elegantly arranged her dress and, with a confident step, left the room, walking down the corridor towards the stairs, when suddenly a shrill voice echoed through the air, stopping her in her tracks.
"Who do you think you are, taking my place in this mansion and in Crono's life? You're a slut with the face of an angel, you think that by marrying Crono he'll lose interest in me? You're wrong," said Eris in a resentful voice that echoed through the corridor.
Freya, with dignity and assurance, turned with a piercing gaze to her rival.
"I don't mind you staying with Crono, but remember I'm his wife and the Moon of this pack, the pack's administrative affairs are mine, not yours," Freya said with a coldness that contrasted with the fire burning in her eyes. She turned and, as she started down the stairs, Eris couldn't contain her venomous words.
"You're nothing to the alpha, just a front to maintain my Crono's leadership. Then he'll get rid of you, and I'll be his moon," he declared scornfully, approaching Freya with a defiant look.
But Freya was undeterred and looked at her with a laugh.
"You've stayed so long in this mansion with the role of my husband's mistress and he's only given you the position of a bed-warming slut. Because now that I'm here, I won't allow you to stay in this mansion. If you want to fuck the alpha, it'll be somewhere else and you'd better leave the easy way, because I'll take you out the hard way," Freya whispered disdainfully, making it clear that she wasn't going to be intimidated.
Eris exploded with rage and lunged at Freya, clutching at her golden hair with unbridled ferocity. She lunged, squeezing her with uncontrolled fury, but Freya didn't retaliate, letting Eris unfurl her grotesque theatrics.
As Eris tugged at Freya's hair with resentment, an authoritative voice rang through the air.
"Let go of my daughter-in-law," Damara growled in an authoritative tone.
Eris, surprised, stopped in her tracks. Her eyes widened and she looked down, trying to identify the source of the royal voice echoing through the mansion. When her eyes met Damara's, she abruptly let go of Freya's hair, as if caught off guard.

Freya Released from her assailant's grip, she pretended to fall down the stairs, clinging to the banister. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, close to the ground, she let go of the banister and pretended to lose her balance, falling to the floor in a faint.
Damara held her breath as she watched Freya collapse, her face a mixture of horror and despair. Instinctively, she brought her trembling hands to her mouth, as if she could hold back the scream that threatened to escape. All she could say as she approached Freya, who lay vulnerable on the floor.
"Call the doctor."
Chaos erupted in an instant. A servant rushed over to Damara and Freya. He quickly lifted the unconscious Freya in his arms and started up the stairs, heading for the bedroom.
"I didn't push her, she fell on her own!" cried Eris, still in shock, trying to convince Damara that she wasn't to blame, her face reflecting an expression somewhere between disbelief and fear. Her bewildered eyes were desperate to understand Damara's strained face.
"That's for Crono to know!" exclaims Damara in a hostile voice, "if he doesn't teach you your lesson, I will.
"I'm so sorry. Let me explain. She slanders me by saying I'm her son's mistress. She doesn't understand that I'm only here to help him." Eris's tears fall like raindrops on a stormy day, mingling with the humiliation and despair enveloping her.

"Shut up, bitch!" He spat with suppressed fury, "I should have been the one to throw you out when you showed up here. Under the guise of being Lea's beloved cousin. You knew how to deceive my son, and if you didn't behave like a slipper, there wouldn't be any slander against you. I don't feel like arguing with you any longer; you'd better get out of my sight, pack your bags and leave this mansion today."
Eris, her dignity shattered and furious, nodded silently, unable to meet Damara's accusing gaze. She turned and went back to her room to gather her things, watching her dream of being Crono's moon vanish like smoke through her fingers. The doctor arrived in a hurry and began to examine Freya, who was just waking up. He gently heals the scratches on her face and notes that, despite the fall down the stairs, she has only a bruise on her arm. After leaving the prescription for the necessary medication and recommending rest, he left.
"My child, I'm so sorry. I'm going to talk to my son about this. That woman is leaving the manor today." Damara murmured sympathetically, stroking her golden hair.
"Thank you for your help, Luna Damara. If you hadn't come, I don't know what harm that woman would have done to me." Freya spoke in a weak voice as tears ran desperately down her cheeks.
"Rest, my child. I'll have some soup made and brought to you. I'll also see to it that that she-wolf leaves this manor today. Then I'll be on my way. My son will arrive tomorrow and I'll inform him of what's happened. He promised in a sympathetic voice, seeking to comfort the young woman.
As Damara left the room, Freya got out of bed and headed for the door, which she locked behind her. A gleam of satisfaction lit her eyes and she murmured with a smile.
"I can't believe the trap went so well. I've taken another of that she-wolf's many humiliations in the past."
