Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James)

Chapter 1062

Sophie couldn't help but laugh at Harold's comment.

Harold chuckled too. "Alright, I can't stick around too long. Happy wedding, and don't forget to open your presents when you get back."

"Got it," Sophie replied with a nod.

As she watched Harold leave, helmet in hand, Sophie felt a warm sense of contentment wash over her.

"Sophie! What are you doing out here all by yourself?" Jenna called out, lifting the hem of her dress as she ran over. Sophie glanced at Jenna, whose cheeks were still flushed with excitement. "So, did he propose?" Sophie asked with a knowing smile.

Jenna's face turned an even brighter shade of red. "Did you know about this all along?"

"Of course I did!"

Jenna pouted, "How could you all let Adler do that? Who proposes at someone else's wedding...?"

"Well, it's not like he's a stranger. Besides, we're all thrilled for you two," Sophie said with a grin, causing Jenna to turn her head away in rare shyness.

"What are you guys doing here? Is the bride changing outfits?" Jenna asked.

The mention of changing outfits made Sophie's smile falter for a moment.

Jenna, sensing an opportunity for playful revenge, said, "Yep, time to change! There are twelve outfits for tonight's toasts. No slacking off!"

With that, Jenna dragged Sophie to the dressing room for another outfit change.

Back at the wedding venue, everyone was already enjoying the food and drinks. After Sophie changed into her twelfth outfit, the long and somewhat tedious photo session began.

Guests from the hundreds of tables lined up for group photos, and the media were snapping pictures non-stop.

Finally, it was time for the last group photo. Lennon sat in the middle, flanked by Sophie and Colby, with Adler, Jenna, Reece, Angelo, and Sandy joining in.

Just as they were about to take the picture, Adler called out to Odie, "Hey, aren't you joining us?"

"Why should I? This isn't my scene," Odie replied, showing no interest in moving.

He was just there to soak up the wedding vibes and have a good time.

A photo? Nah.

"If Mr. Odie doesn't want to join, we won't force him. Photographer, let's get this shot," Sophie said, a hint of teasing in her voice.

Odie's pride got the better of him.

"Fine, I'll be in the photo!" he declared, stepping forward and positioning himself towards the center. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even be having this wedding here, so it's only right that I'm in the photo..."

"Enough with the chatter! Let's just take the photo already!" Adler interrupted, signaling the photographer to hurry up. "Alright, on three, say cheese!"

With the click of the shutter, the photo was finally taken.

As evening turned to night, the entertainment program kicked off, and no one dared to leave their seats. Meanwhile, Sophie and Colby were already planning to head to the Summerfield Hotel, where they had a room booked for their wedding night.

"I'm exhausted," Jenna said, massaging her shoulders. She

turned to Sophie, who was taking off her headpiece. "So, Sophie, what's Colby got planned for your wedding night? Any surprises?"

"I don't know about surprises; I just want to sleep," Sophie said, her eyelids drooping.

Jenna laughed. "Sleep? Not tonight! You'll be opening gifts until your hands are sore!"

"Huh?"

"Did you see that spot in the front hall where we collected the gift money? It might look like just a thin layer, but it's packed with gift cards." "Jenna, how do you know that?"

"I checked it out myself, of course!" Jenna said with a wink.
