Chapter 1061
Adler's voice rang out, silencing the crowd instantly. Jenna was caught off guard.
"Marry..."
Adler froze too. He had only meant to ask Jenna to be his girlfriend, but a few drinks in, he accidentally let his true feelings slip.
Just as Adler scrambled to take it back, the crowd erupted, chanting, "Marry him! Marry him!"
"..."
Both Adler and Jenna were mortified. Jenna glanced at the ring Adler had given her, then at the cheering crowd, her face turning beet red. She stammered, "Today's Sophie and Colby's wedding. What are you doing? Get up!"
"I don't care! If you don't say yes, I'm not getting up!"
Adler, clearly tipsy, was being stubborn. Jenna, seeing no other way out, reluctantly extended her hand and said, "Alright, alright, I'll marry you! Now, get up!"
Adler's face lit up with joy as he slipped the ring onto Jenna's finger.
Sophie, watching from the sidelines, almost burst out laughing. "Mr. Adler! She said yes to the proposal, not to marrying you right this second!"
Adler's face turned crimson as he fumbled to remove the ring, but Jenna, in a hurry to leave, pulled him down from the stage. The crowd continued to cheer as Jenna dragged Adler to a corner, hissing, "Who taught you to propose like that? I'm not even your girlfriend yet! And you... you propose to me!"
Jenna's words trailed off as Adler suddenly leaned in and kissed her.
That kiss blew Jenna's mind.
The words she had lined up disappeared.
After what felt like an eternity, Adler pulled back and said seriously, "You said yes, no take-backs."

corner, she whispered to Colby, "I'll be right back."
"Okay," Colby said, keeping a watchful eye on Sophie as she moved toward the corner before resuming his toasts.
Sophie walked over to the corner of the banquet hall. She hadn't seen Harold in days, and he seemed healthier than before.
"Didn't you say you couldn't come? Why sneak in alone?"
Harold glanced away, saying, "I just wanted to see."
"Wouldn't it have been better to give me the gift in person?"
"Given my situation, it's better I don't show."
Harold looked down, noticing the diamond ring on Sophie's hand, an said, "That diamond suits

"Hurry up and grow up, and you'll have your day of happiness too."
Harold frowned, "We're the same age, yet you talk like you're years ahead of me."
