Chapter Rules and Regulations

Authors Note

This chapter is optional. If you want to learn more about the upcoming competition, please continue reading. If you just want to see how it plays out, then skip if you want. I will not be going in-depth about this in future chapters. I will simply have the character refer back to this handbook. The chapter’s dialogue will be between Mia and Aviry only, so I will not be italicizing. Please enjoy 😄

Alpha Luna’s Competition Rules and Regulations

Welcome, and congratulations on being chosen as one of our honored champions.

“Ok, Mia I’m done. You read the rest.” I said, yawning.

“Aviry, it’s the first fucking sentence,” Mia said, rolling her eyes.

“Look, I do all the physical activities. The least you could so are the mental ones.”

“FINE, Aviry, you want me to take over and read I will.”

I felt like I was being vacuumed into my own body. I was in my headspace, no longer in control. I could see my arms moving, feeling my face, and running through my hair.“Mia, what the fuck is happening?” I asked. “Why can’t I control my body.”

“I don’t know; it looks like I’m in control. But, I’m not a wolf; I’m still you. This is so freaking cool. But now I know how tired you really feel. But, I still can read this for us. Just sit back and relax.”

I relaxed in my mind, letting Mia have the reins. I mean, what’s she going to do? Runoff with my body? I trust my wolf.

“Ok, where were we..”

Alpha Luna’s Competition Rules and Regulations

Welcome, and congratulations on being chosen as one of our honored champions. This is our first-ever Alpha’s Luna Competiton. We would like this to be an example to other packs that a mate is not our only way to find our partner in pack affairs. We want to prove that a Luna can be chosen from the strongest of women. Together we can lead with the same authority and power as a mated Alpha couple.

“Ok, I already have questions about this shit,” I said. “I thought this was a fight, not a damn matchmaking event.”

“Let's keep reading. We can ask Tanner about this in the morning.” Mia replied.

The competition will begin the month after the final champion is entered, on the night of the first full moon. The competition will last that full month and end the following month on the next full moon. The competition will be hosted by an Alpha in the event, one who will be decided later. The host will also be responsible for making living accommodations for all competitors and their alpha.

Each champion is required to follow all rules and regulations set in place by the alphas. Any rules broken may result in a penalty or disqualification, depending on the severity of the violation. In extreme cases, an alpha can lose his champion. That champion will then be entered into a random lottery where any alpha can then claim that champion as their own.

“So, we’re trading cards all of sudden?” Mia questioned.

“I don’t know, but they can try. It won’t end well for them. I’m not some rare eBay item,” I replied. “What’s with these guys picking and trading females. Using us like some fucked up Pokemon card battle.”

Mia sighed and continued reading. More questions for Tanner tomorrow.

Rules and Regulations

All champions must be willing to participate in all events.

All champions must be an active werewolf (Born or changed). Meaning they must be of age.

All champions must be unmated and unmarked.

There will be no fighting between competitors outside of the competition fights.

All champions must refrain from relations with any males during the competition.

Any attempt to shift, to injure, or kill is prohibited.

All champions must keep in mind that being killed in a fight is highly likely.

Any competitor who kills maliciously with no intent to stop during an event will be facing a penalty (To be determined).

All champions are to stay on the host property and are not allowed to leave until the competition ends.

“Aviry, are you listening?” Mia asked as I started to doze off.

“Listen, Mia, all I hear is SUPPRESSION. I’ll try my best to abide by their rules. But, they can’t stop me from doing what I want at the end of the day.”

Events

The Alpha’s Luna competition is broken up into three events. Skills, Human Combat, finally a Wolf Battle Royale. Each champion will compete in the first two events, and only the finalist will compete in the Battle Royale. Three designated alphas will be in charge of each event separately. Any champion with prior knowledge or illegal advantages of an event will be disqualified.

“Here we go…this is what I get for not reading the terms and conditions. Not only is this not just a fight, but now I have to have skills? My only fucking skills are fighting and microwaving frozen food.” I laid back in my mind and closed my eyes.

“Well, at least we have some time to learn something.” Mia tried to be hopeful.

“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” I asked.

“Well, it gives us something to do—an actual purpose for a while. You have to admit you were getting bored with the street fights. Now we have this to challenge us, a way we can conquer something new.”

Mia is right. I was getting a little bored. It was getting to the point where all of my competition would submit after the first punch. These women will put up an actual fight and actually challenge me, hopefully.

Skills Event – Alpha Derrick King

The skills event has been organized to expand the length of two weeks. The first week will be for honing the skills needed to succeed in the skills test the following week. Each competitor will be scored during the second week—the champion with the highest score will receive an advantage in the next event. This is not an elimination event; therefore, the champion with the lowest score will be safe.

“Well, that’s good. We can relax a little Aviry.”

“You’re damn straight, I’m going to relax. I’m not focused on honing skills. I already have what I need.”

Human Combat – Alpha Sam Dixon

Human combat will focus on fighting skills as a human. It will also test your self-control. Shifting is strictly prohibited in this event. Any shift will result in automatic submission, and the round will go to the opponent. This event will last for two weeks. The first week will be a training period. Each champion can use this time to train outside the competition but cannot train with each other. The second week will be the combat rounds, one fight each day. Eight champions, four rounds. One champion will be eliminated each round. The last four remaining champions will compete in the final event.

“Sounds simple enough,” Mia said.

“Yeah, this fight is a guaranteed win for us. But extra training wouldn’t hurt.” I said.

Wolf Battle Royale – Alpha Kane Harris

The Wolf Battle Royale, the final event of the Alpha’s Luna Competiton. Each competitor will be fighting using their wolves only. No human combat allowed. Any human combat will result in immediate submission, resulting in elimination. This event will only last one week so use that time to train. At the end of the week, the battle royale will take place. We want to see your animalistic fighting style. We want to see your survival skills. Four wolves will battle at once. Each wolf will fight until only one stands. The last one standing is the winner.

“Ok, this is the concerning one, Aviry. We can’t shift; how are we going to do this?”

“Mia chill, that’s why we’re learning what we can this month. Hopefully, it will trigger itself, and if it doesn’t, there’s always plan B.”

“And what is plan B? Run for our lives? Escape in the middle of the night, and start our new life as cabin dwellers in the middle of the woods?” Mia was freaking out.

“Well, we are staying with a bunch of wolves. Maybe they can; I don’t know, change us themselves.”

“Yeah, I just don’t know how that will work being that you’re already a werewolf Aviry.”

“Hey, I’m just thinking of ideas. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there, ok.”

Mia sighed and turned to the next page.

“That’s weird.” Mia was flipping the pages back and forth.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Everything after the last event is blacked out. I can’t read the rest of it.” Mia set the packet down and laid back in bed.

“We can just ask Tanner in the morning,” I said, yawning. “We can go to sleep finally.”

“Yeah, ready to have your body back, Aviry?” Mia asked. She fully relaxed and joined me in our headspace. My big beautiful wolf Mia was back. The only difference was that Mia’s eyes were glowing. I rubbed her head and was immediately pulled back into my body.

“Goodnight, Mia,” I said, pulling the cover over my body and adjusting my pillow.

“Night Aviry.” Mia curled into herself and closed her eyes.

It felt good knowing I finally had someone with me when I fell asleep at night. Someone who’ll be there to say good morning when the sun rises.
