Chapter Chapter Three (Regan)
Regan’s POV
I knew that everyone would hate me for what I did to the omega that lived in the basement for all of his life. I thought about all the factors of him being born into rogue parents and how he was mistreated because of his status. And while my wolf Anubis was smitten at first sight of the young dark-skinned boy with the eyes of copper, I wanted a strong FEMALE to mate with me and help me lead the pack to more greatness. So I did what needed to be done: reject the poor boy and send him out of the pack- to where he belongs.
And that night, where I felt his bonds being severed, I was very happy as I was free to mate with whoever I wanted. And I got to sleep with every beautiful woman that I wanted, much to the delight of my future Beta Keith and his loyal dad.
The following morning, however, the shit hit the fan and I got a lot of backlashes that still haunted me to this day.
*********
Two years ago (the morning after the rejection)...
“Have you lost your fucking mind?!” Father screamed angrily, landing a punch to the jaw that staggered me back to the bedroom where I was leaving a couple of blondes in bed. “You just rejected the one boy that has been suffering for all of his life.”
I just snickered, standing up to my feet as my tear-stricken mother and my pissed-off sister Ciara came into the room with the latter ready to scratch my eyes out. “I did what I had to do,” I replied. “And besides, I have plenty of time as a soon-to-be Alpha to find a FEMALE to be my WIFE. The run was basically on the verge of death. So, I let him go and had Keith and his buddies do the work of getting him out of my life.”
POW!
I felt the sharp sting of Mom’s slap, which was a surprise since I was her favorite child. “You bastard,” she hissed. “I thought I taught you better than that. I thought you would be more of a man than your uncle, who made the same mistake as you did.”
I snorted. “Please. Uncle Jake was right for rejecting his first choice and killing him right from the start,” I spat, remembering how my badass uncle did the same thing to a ratty omega before killing the runt on sight to gain Grandpa Jackson’s approval (which it didn’t, but oh well). “And besides, you’ll need grandchildren.”
Ciara scoffed, rolling her eyes. “So it’s all about finding someone to be your breeding stock,” she spat angrily.
“Duh,” I shrugged.
POW!
Dad landed another punch to my jaw, knocking me down. “That just proves my point of you not being worthy of being the Alpha,” he growled, his eyes still blood red. “I had high hopes for you, but it looks like you’re worse than the others who tormented Carson. And the power of transfer is canceled, so you can forget about getting the title of Alpha.”
“What?!”
“You heard me,” Dad said, letting the tears fall for someone who doesn’t deserve it. “Until you find Carson and make this right, you won’t be Alpha.”
“No way,” I defended, getting angry for not being the next Alpha. “I won’t find that rat and make him mine. I like boobs, not cocks. I want a female alpha and that’s that.”
Dad smirked, which wasn’t a good sign. “Then I guess your sister is the next to take my place then. At least she was a good friend to Carson since he was born. And, she has more common sense.”
“Wanna bet?!” I said, staring with rage at my sister’s face. “I can take her down and STILL get the pack. I’ll fight her for it, and if I win, I remain the alpha and mate with a woman.”
“Fine by me,” Ciara said, getting to a fighting pose while I got in mine. “You’re going to regret this, Regan Zallenda.”
“Not likely,” I drawled. “I’m going to enjoy killing you the way I should’ve done with the runt. I WILL be the Alpha.”
****TIME SKIP FIVE MINUTES LATER****
I lay on the carpeted ground as the stunning blondes stood by my sister’s side in shock and disgust. I didn’t even last ten minutes and Ciara beat me just like that. How the hell did this happen.
Ciara and my parents just looked down at me, my sisters wiping her hands of the blood. “That’s that,” she replied, her eyes now glowing a faint red as a sign of a future Alpha. “Told you that you’d lose. And now, you’re under my rule.”
“And you’re not the alpha,” Dad said. “And by the way, Regan left you a little note. Said that he’d wished you well and that he’s not coming back.”
I groaned in pain, but I knew that it was for the best. Because I was planning to take back the pack and make sure that everyone knew my name. And as for that Carson runt, I was still set of rejecting him.
***********
One year ago...
Can you believe it right now?
I was not only still NOT the alpha (Ciara, Mom, and Dad) made sure of that; almost everyone on my side now took my parents’ side. Keith and his dad were stripped of their titles and banished the night my sister got the title of Alpha female and all the followers were either exiled or demoted to ordinary wolves. And as for me? Well, the wolf council soon got word of how the only omega in MY pack was rejected and bullied. To make matters worse, it turned out that Carson performed the Soul Conversion- the spell that turned him from a wolf to a human so he can be cut from the supernatural.
In my book, I hoped he was dead and fed to the rogues. But to the council, I was to blame for not accepting him and the others who were exiled were blamed for not showing him kindness.
And as for the letter he left for the pack, his words still echoed in my mind.
To the pack that nearly broke me but never really did,
If you’re reading this by now, then it means that I am finally out of your lives.
I had hoped that Luna Delia and Alpha Harvey’s words of hope for me to be accepted would come to fruition and that someday I would be a part of the pack not as a curse but as a blessing. But as time went by, I knew that the only way out for me was to leave by my volition or by the hands of Death. And as for the one who rejected me, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. That just gave me the key to finally take my leave like most of you wanted.
And now, you got your wish.
To Alpha, Luna, and Ciara: I already wrote to the three of you about my wishes for the three of you to live a happy life. But I’ll say it again: I wish you three the best in life. To those who dared to show kindness, the Moon Goddess will bless you immensely. I thank you all for taking pity on me. For those of you who didn’t know (the pups included), I’m sorry that you had to know that I was gone and treated like this. But it was all true. Maybe Keith was right when he said that I needed to die. As for the rest of you (my mate included)? It is what it is? All the same, you made your bed and now you can lie in it.
I, Carson Hadley, officially leave and cut all ties to the Four Aces Pack as well as every other pack and the supernatural group known to mankind.
You wanted me gone? Deuces!
Carson Hadley.
“Good riddance,” I had said when the council read the letter to me while I was in trial. “If he comes back, I’ll kill him and eat his flesh.”
To me, it was the truth.
To everyone else, it was the key that sealed my fate: I was now forbidden to be the Alpha of any pack and I was to be a normal werewolf and work in the kitchens.
But I still stand by my word: Carson + Me = not a chance. Me + female = happiness.
Tell that to every female that now knows of my sins. Since the trial, I was untouchable and a pariah. Not even the pack’s slut Kayleigh (who liked Carson and snick him food) wanted me and chose to mate with her true mate- a runt and geek named Kevin.

Now
“Regan?” One of the dishwashers said as she raced to my potato-peeling station. “Alpha Female Ciara wants to see you, like right now.”
I grunted, putting down the millionth potato that I was peeling on the table before I followed her to the main hall where my sister was talking to a dark-skinned older woman who was as big as a barn. Next to the woman was a pretty young woman who looked like her daughter. “Alpha Female,” I greeted, bowing low to show respect.
“Rise, brother,” Ciara said, though her tone at me was far from family-like. “This is Marianne Napier, from the Dark Dahlia witch coven in Boulder. And this is her daughter Fianna.”
“Ladies,” I said, giving Fianna a saucy wink.
Fianna just glared me down. “Sorry, I got a man at home,” she replied as if she knew I was into her. “And you’ve got a man who you treated like trash and let him go.”
I frowned. “That runt won’t be my mate,” I retorted. “I’d rather drop dead.”
SLAP!
The older woman, the woman who slapped me, was crying. “Well, your mate is now in a comatose state because of you,” she hissed. “I already lost my daughter and my two grandchildren. And because of you, I might lose the one ward that I swore to protect and the one who might’ve been my son-in-law.”
My eyes went wide. What?!
