Chapter 95

RITA'S POV

I had left the responsibility of finding a fake fiancee to Leo. And, to make it seem like we were no longer together, I got to the meeting with the pack elders first and waited alongside with them for Leo.

"Where is your mate?" One of the pack elders asked, looking visibly annoyed and I glared at him.

"Why are you asking me such question? You all called me barren and made sure I was displaced as Luna, right? Like you wanted, we no longer talk to each other, so I don't know where he is," I replied she he glared at me. "Then, why are you here?" He asked and I glared break at him.

"Ian, stop bothering her. Let us just wait for the Alpha and hear what he has to say," Another pack elder chipped in and I nodded in agreement.

"She is being rude," The very first pack elder that had spoken said and I frowned. I just could not wait for Leo to come here and present his new mate to the pack elders so I could leave.

These pack elders were annoying me. The looks they gave me was downgrading. I needed no soothsayer to tell me that they disliked me. When I had initially walked in, they all glared at me. Only one did not that was th 100around, expecting to see a she-wolf but he was the only person who walked in and I frowned. What happened to our plan and what happened to him finding a she-wolf?

Icocked an eyebrow at him, but he looked back at me with a straight face.

Then, Aunt Freya walked in. "What is she doing here?" I mouthed and he smirked. My mind went blank as soon as everything dawned on me. Aunt Freya was Leo's pretend mate.

Well, this was going to be interesting. Loud laughter threatened to escape from my mouth, but I bit my lower lip to stop myself from laughing.

I glanced at Leo. When I noticed that he was also trying hard not to laugh, I ended up laughing and every single person in the room looked at me.

When I noticed that all eyes were on him, I feigned wailing out loud. Everyone thought I was crying, not laughing.

Aunt Freya stood in the middle of everyone now. All attention moved from me to her.

"Why is she here?" lan, one of the pack elders asked and Leo relaxed on his throne.

"She's your Luna to be. Show respect," Leo said and I chuckled quietly.

A loud murmur broke amongst the pack elders.

"She's far older than you," one of them stood up to say. "I mean, she's the current Luna's aunty. We expected yo someone younger."

"Well, nobody told me to get a mate in a particular age gap. As far as I'm concerned, I have every right to pick any she-wolf of marriageable age as a mate no matter. The Luna to be here is not underage, is she?",

"She is far from underage my Alpha. She is far older than you are. She is as old as the late Luna, your mother. Why will you want someone as old as your mother when you can have the most beautiful she-wolves in and outside the pack?" The murmurs between the pack elders increased and I watched to see where everything will head to.

Of course, they could not take the Alpha position from Alpha Leo. He did what they asked him to.

"He is obviously up to no good," Luke sneered and his head immediately fell to the ground, following the clanking sound of the knife used to cut his neck hitting the ground.

I turned pale immediately and turned to Leo. I watched his chest go up and down repeatedly. He was fuming and my eyes. went to the hand he used to throw a pocket knife through Luke's neck.

I did not know which shock and scare me? Was it Leo killing his half brother at a heartbeat? Or, was it the fact that he used a pocket knife to cut through his neck and bring his head down at a ground.

"Leo!" One is the pack elders screamed like Leo had just committed an abomination.

"I showed you all my Luna to be, so nobody can try to take my position. However, Luke had committed a grave crime by spying on me. He deserves to be punished and I was generous to give him a less torturing one." Leo had a poker face the whole one. Tyler snarled. He got up and headed toward Leo, but was stopped halfway by the warriors.

"Take him away," Leo said casually and then he turned to the pack elders. "This meeting is over. You all should leave. I would take mine now."

He got off his throne, walked to me and held out his hand for me to take. Without minding what the pack elders will think or say, I took his hand and we left the throne room.

Aunt Freya joined us and Leo took us straight to the dining room

"I prepared a small feast for us," He said and I smiled as I took a good look at the table. Small feast? This was massive.

The table was covered with varieties of food from it's beginning to it's end.

Leo threw a chair for me and beckoned on me to sit and I did. I was beginning to feel nauseous and I noticed that my nose was still was just as sensitive before my pup got aborted. He pulled a chair for Aunt Freya to sit too, before picking a chair beside me to it.

The aroma of the food, despite how delicious made me want to puke and without wasting time, I got up and made my way to the nearest toilet in the mansion.

After puking my intestines out, I washed up and rushed back to the dining table. I met Leo on my way back and after making sure I was okay, we went back to the table.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked and I nodded.

"I am."
