I took Daniel back to my dorm for more privacy. Since school is over and it’s not after hours the girl at the front desk didn’t say anything when we walk past. I lead him into my room shutting the door behind me. He took a seat at my desk while I jump on my bed.

“I think you were in some kind of lust spell,” I told him grabbing the books I check out from the library.

I start flipping through the books to see if they mention anything about magic. It almost all the vampire books I read magic was concluded in their abilities. Which I thought was just improvise for the drama.

“You’re telling me Sasha compelled me with a lust spell?” He asks me turning the desk chair to face me.

“If she put a love spell own you, you would be following her like a puppy. Anyway, When do you think she had the chance to put it on you?”

“I don’t know? It’s been almost a year.”

I rolled my eyes flipping through the rest of the first book “You must like me.” I told him picking up the second book.

“What? How you think of that assumption?” He asks appalled.

“It has to be the only reason how you broke the spell. How else? Tell me I’m wrong.” I told him.

“Your…” I cut him off when I flip to the chapter I’m looking for.

“Found it!” I yelled.

He came over to seat next to me on the bed. The chapter was titled “Up Coming Magic”. The first section was about when the first sight of magic appears. A female vampire that was just turned made fire out of thin air. It talk about how she used it to her ability. The next one was earth, then water, and lastly air. They all first surface from a woman vampire. A hundred years after that when a new form of magic appeared. This time a man was the first one to show signs of it. He compelled a room full of humans to his submission.

“Those people have to have a lot of power to do all the things they’ve said,” Daniel said after reading the first section.

“So magic is possibly real, but if Sasha is only half vampire how is she able to use it?” I question looking to him.

“Let’s read the next chapter they might say something about it.” he said turning the page.

The next chapter was exactly that “Hampires Having Using Magic”. Hundred years after discovering the magic vampires posses a hampire was discovered being able to use it. They’ve learned that the genes in some vampires will pass down to the offspring. The percentage of a hampire having the capability to use magic is a ten percent chance.

“Well look at there. She was lucky to posses magic. Bambi or the other two was also.” I told him.

“What you mean? How do you know?” He asks.

“They were using it doing the fight. Concealed it from the crowds naked eye. I think if they posses magic it’s air.” I told him tapping my finger on the book thinking.

“You fought off a jump and maybe an air user. They walk out of that beaten up and you come out tired but fine.What about that?” He pointed out.

I nod my head in agreement. That’s also weird for me to walk away with nothing. Nothing was talked about invincibility as one of the powers for hampire….Only for vampires. I read that vampire are ten times more hard to take down then the strongest human. It’ll take a toll on him but I’ll take a long time before you’ll see any bruises or scratchs forming. In a hand to hand combat. I don’t know about when magic is involved in it.

“The only logical reason for that was if I was a full blooded vampire. Which I’m not so I don’t know what’s up with me. How are we going to approach the Sasha situation?” I ask him getting up from the bed picking up the books.

“Until we figure out what’s going on we can’t do nothing. Lay low for now.” Daniel said with a shrug.

“I’ll read more into this and see what I can find.” I set the books on my desk.

It went silent for a moment. I stare off at nothing thinking. What would be the reason of them coming at me? Do Haven even know about their magic? And if so what is her view and why to keep it a secret. If this school was made to use are abilities to protect are the world shouldn’t magic be an asset.

“Something is not right in this school?” I said out loud.

“It’s not. I better get going I have to make a stop before going to my dorm. I’ll speak with you tomorrow.” Daniel said getting up from my bed.

“Yeah, have a good night,” I said following him to the door.

He opens the door stepping out the room. I caught it getting his attention so he’ll turn to me. I smiled up at him asking the question I ask earlier.

“Tell me I’m right or wrong?”

“Your..”

I wave at him before shutting the door in his face.
