Raging Barons MC – Book Two – Axel

Axel: Chapter 30

Mia and Shar have gone to the club. That gives me peace of mind that she’ll not walk in and find out what’s happening tonight. The last thing I want is her getting involved.

Buzz and Drag have given me every viable option of getting in, doing the job, and getting out safely. Now I have to decide which way we are going to play this.

Knocking on the office door has us looking up and Beer shouts, ‘Pres, we got visitors just rolled up to the compound.’

Placing the maps away from view, we walk outside to see who these visitors are, and to my surprise it’s Sharp and six of his men, Crack his enforcer and Trip his VP included.

Nodding at Fizz on the gate to let them through, we stand and wait in the clubhouse doorway. Drag murmurs, ‘What the fuck do you think they want?’

Buzz responds, ‘Don’t give a shit, they make me sick, the lot of them.’ which has me turning and looking at him with my eyebrows raised.

‘Pres, they never should’a locked Mia and Shar up, they should’a got in touch sure, but not lock them away, they were asking for help and after the shit they put her through let’s face it, it was the least they could do.’

The seven bikers park and walk toward us. Sharp looks pretty mean, so not sure what the fuck his problem is. As Sharp nears, he sticks his hand out, ‘Hi Axel, sorry to just turn up, but we thought it was pretty urgent.’

Shaking his hand, I nod to the door and we go through the common room to my office. Sharp tells all but Crack and Trip to wait in the common room and follows me through.

Taking my seat and nodding to take seats themselves, I lean back then nod at Buzz, ‘Get someone to bring drinks through, something hot because the bar is closed until tomorrow.’

‘You got something going down, Axel? Because we’ve come to let you know we found out a plan to grab Mia and bomb your compound.’ Sharp states, giving me his eagle eye, looking for a reaction, I’m sure.

‘We have something going down, but not just at this moment, so why don’t you tell us what you came to say.’ I’m not messing with this asshole. He lost a lot of respect over the treatment Mia has had from his club and his neglect as a President.

‘Gunner checked into what Cara’s uncle has been doing. He found out that he has a lot of hatred for Mia, thinking she killed Cara, but although Gunner told him that she didn’t, he won’t hear the truth of it. Gunner even confessed he’d killed her but Bloom thinks he’s just saying that to cover for Mia.’ Sharp states, standing from his seat and walking to the window, he runs his hand over the back of his neck and turns to me, ‘We know of two places he uses, one he lives at and one he has men live. Let’s be down to earth honest. He will not stop trying to get to Mia. We need to take him out and his scum.’

Drag, who’s relaxed back in his seat, looks at Sharp, ‘What’s it to you? Why are you even interested?’

‘Of course I’m interested. I let her down once before, we all let her down, I’m not letting her down again and I sure as fuck am not watchin’ her get murdered for somethin’ she didn’t do.’ Sharp snarls, giving Drag a filthy look.

Buzz returns with a tray carrying a large pot of coffee, cups and all the fixings, but he quickly notes the tension in the air and puts the tray down, placing himself in a position where he’s covering everyone in case this meeting goes to shit.

Crack speaks up, ‘Axel, we let her down, but we always liked her, I thought she was a great person and never believed the bullshit that was said but I couldn’t find out what was happening as it just closed up, so no information was being given.’

‘We’ve heard all this before, but I’m not sure that you being here is what you’re telling us. What more is there?’ Buzz asks, not pulling any punches.

Trip leans forward so his elbows are resting on his knees, ‘He threatened that unless we get Mia to him, he’s going to grab Zara and kill her.’

‘Ah, so now the real reason is coming out. You’re not really here for Mia, you’re here for Zara.’ I state, looking at Drag and Buzz, ‘So, boys, do we listen to more or do we get them the fuck off our property?’

‘That’s not why Axel. We want to save them both, not just one of them. Zara is part of us, has been since she was born, but we want nothing else happening to Mia. She’s had enough shit to deal with.’ Trip responds.

Drag passes out coffee and while he does that, I’m thinking about how useful another seven men would be tonight.

As everyone settles to drink their coffee, I sit behind my desk with my mind racing, trying to think how to say this without pissing them off, but you know I think, ‘whatever.’

‘Okay, I’m going to lay it on the line Sharp. Mia is my ol’ lady, she’s the one I’ll live and die for, I don’t give a shit that she was Gunners at one time, he fucked her over, ruined her life.’

Before they can jump into any excuses or arguments I continue, ‘Tonight we are going to take out Bloom and his men, all his men, we know the locations, we’ll be going in, taking them out of the equation once and for all.

‘Now, if you want in, to help get rid of this scum, we’ll be happy to have you. If not, then get the fuck out, go back home and let us deal with it.’

Sharp looks at his two officers and they both nod at him, giving him a silent agreement.

‘We’re in,’ Sharp responds. ‘Seven of us, you tell us where, how, when and we’ll be right with you. This has to end. I ordered Gunner to take Zara out of the country until this is over, so they’ve gone on a vacation and taken two prospects with them, so I know they’ll be okay.’

‘Okay, Mia will want to know more now about what’s going on. We can’t avoid that, but you show her respect as the Presidents Ol’ Lady or you’ll see how much my brothers think of her.’ I state.

‘You’ll eat, and you can drink anything but alcohol. No one drinks when we have a job. We have eyes on the ground, so we know what’s happening at all times.

‘If you want in, you’ll be under the command of whoever is in charge of your team. We have two Green Berets doing all our recon, making sure everything will go down as we plan.

‘Let’s just get it done and move on with our lives. It’s time my woman had some peace and happiness in her life.’

Talking over the plans we have so far, and which I am considering being the most viable. I won’t give the green light for any until I’ve spoken to Target and Chaos once more. The knowledge they have is vital for us to have a clean and successful execution of whichever plan we choose.

Once we’re organized as far as we can be we go into the common room and refresh our coffee and I get Jig the prospect to get take out for everyone, make sure we’re all going to eat as we can’t go on an empty belly.

Checking the time, I see it won’t be long before Mia and Shar will be back from the club. Drag notices and smiles. ‘She’ll not be long now, Pres, but did you see the video?’

‘What video?’ I’ve no clue what he’s talking about.

Passing me his cellphone, I watch a video of Mia taking care of Brandy. A surge of anger for this lazy skank rushes through me. ‘Who sent the video?’

‘Beer.’ Drag replies, but gives me a questioning look.

‘Beer.’ I shout, ‘Was everything okay when you were taking this video?’

‘Of course, Pres, I wouldn’t have stood by and watched your ol’ lady get into trouble.’ he states, looking put out that I would even suggest it.

‘Okay, I just don’t want her hurt at all.’

‘Pres, she dragged that bitch the full length of the common room and kitchen, and told her if she didn’t pull her weight she was gone, bags and all.’ But what surprises me is the pride that Beer has in his voice.

I watch the video again and can’t help but chuckle at the sight of Mia throwing a rage and that is what it is, pure rage. I know she’s going to be back any minute, so I tell them all to settle down and we’ll eat as soon as Jig gets back.
