Chapter 69 - Scouts
I nodded my head and smiled. I got on in front of Matheus and we took off. The guys stopped and watched us, their eyes wide and their mouths hanging open. I took my hands and shut my mouth with them, showing the guys their mouths were hanging open. They quickly snapped their mouths shut. They didn’t get on their bikes until I was off the one I was on with Matheus.
Sissy’s.
After they ran around a couple more times they got off their bike and put down the kickstand. They started to walk off, talking excitedly to each other. I whistled loud enough for the men to turn and look at me as I pointed at Matheus.
“You need to break them down again,” Matheus explained, causing the guys to groan.
“They’re going to be too hot to take apart. How about we go eat and come back?” Madrid commented as Matheus was shaking his head no.
“They don’t get hot. We made them so they could be torn down and thrown in a HELO, boat, or our backs. Plus, don’t you want to see the surprise we made you?” Madrid nodded. “Exactly.”
The guys followed Matheus instructions on how to take the bike apart and put it in a pack you could carry on your back or hide in a tree. As soon as they put had torn their bikes apart Matheus walked into a room and rolled out Madrid’s customized bike.
I thought Madrid was going to faint. He checked over the paint job, noticing the patches and stars that were cleverly hidden. We didn’t make any flag, lettering or anything to give away Madrid was in the Navy. We painted the design I made. It was a lion with the different cat species the guys were around it.
“Thank you. I love it!” Madrid happily said. “I’m going to put this in my room so I can show the guys. I want pics to send to the president too.” I leaned around Matheus, grabbed the photos and handed them to Madrid. “You are ready for everything, aren’t you? Scouts, much?” Matheus and I nodded.
All the guys started laughing. I was enjoying seeing the guys again. Yes, they were a pain in the ass but they were too funny to stay mad at for any length of time. And, they had finally stopped testing me. Thank, God. They all left and Matheus turned the solar lights off and put everything away as I wiped down our counter.
We walked to our room and I took a shower. Matheus went to get us food as I laid on the bed. I was thinking about the ten days I had left before we found out what we were having. I couldn’t wait. My jaguar wasn’t telling me and neither was anyone else. I wanted to throw a fit but since I don’t throw fits the idea was thrown out the window. I would be glad to be able to see my feet again. Mateo’s wife, Illy, told me I was lucky not to be sick. I didn’t care if it was luck or something else but I was glad I wasn’t sick.
Matheus walked back in with three loaded plates of food. Madrid had made sure I ate enough food for an entire Navy fleet but I didn’t mind. At least he made sure I ate enough if not too much. I hoped I lost the weight after I had this child was born. We ate and talked for a little bit. Matheus took our plates and set them outside our door. The guys were taking turns taking them back to the mess hall.
“I’m going to go take a shower, okay?” Matheus asked me.
I nodded and kissed him on the lips. He went to take his shower as I got ready to get under the covers. I knew it was time for us to get some sleep. I needed it. I tired out easier than I used to but I knew my strength would come back as soon as I had the baby, well, at least I hoped it did.
Matheus walked out of the bathroom and got in the bed, pulling me a little closer to him. I couldn’t sleep right up against him right now. I would get too hot and feel as if I was suffocating. The first time I woke up sweating, gasping for breath, and panicked something was wrong. I was in the hospital for a day. No, thank you. I didn’t want to go back to the hospital until I was ready to deliver and then I only wanted to go to the hospital for our kind. It would be a lot better than staying in a human hospital for a week.
I finally drifted off to sleep. I was sleeping like a baby for almost four hours, well, until Rawr screamed.
